I did not see any one use system mechanic, this is what I use, and have not had any issues in 4 years. It has a 30 day trial period, and then its like 30 bucks a year, and you can install it on all of your systems.
Has free updates continuously for free. and a lot of other features. I would give it a try.
check it out, as i said I have used it for years.  http://www.iolo.com/downloads/download-system-mechanic

Yourself, I never used any antivirus and never got any S*** installed on my MAC
Give me your IP and let's see how that Mac works.
MACs are are a bad choice by the consumer, deluded by Apples fake 'premium'.

QUICKHEAL is the best best antivirus.
Judging from the name, it's very bad.

I actually need a good antivirus for my Macbook, is there one? I was told by a friend that it seems like most are created for Windows only so that won't do obviously.

Can anyone share some sites that offer good anti-virus for Mac???

I think best antivirus, AVG and KASPERSKY.
AVG no. Kaspersky is indeed, their research teams are amazing as well.

Kaspersky is the best one in my experience. Nowdays I use addons instead of anti virus, and it's enough (download them for a scan every now and then to see if my computer caught one).

AVG , is a great for me

Only AVG? : /
It doesn't give much protection against other kinds of malware, I think. You should probably install malwarebytes or something like that as well.
