Monero is a coin which has had an amazing 12 months and is continuing to grow. The biggest interest here is led by the additional privacy and security features it offers. I think this will become an issue for other coins, as leaders get nervous about cryptocurrencies and try to crack down, making monero even more desireable. I see continued growth for the year ahead.
I have high hopes for Waves. Already a fast DEX, fiat gateway and more to come.

Both DCR and NEM look very promising for 2017. They both have well-respected teams to back the development, clean code base, increasing market adoption and something new to offer to the crypto world. DOGE especially since the price tripled almost,price of BTC will fall because it is constantly changing and at that moment these coins will get extra value so it's a great time to sell and earn.

Interesting thread! Many different opinions and I guess it depends on one's risk level and purpose for using/investing... I have recently heard of a new alt currency that will be launching sometime soon which unlike the other digicurrencies will be backed by hard reserves like gold! Is this unique? Surely this would be less risky and kind of close the gap between traditional fiat currencies and digicurrencies?

The santiment crowdsale is already successful with the maximum reached. But i don't know the product has offered by the santiment project. it looks like interesting to see his homepage. And iconomi had a lot of the santiment's stock. Yes I heard today, that Iconomi bought some of presale tokens of Santiment SNT. They also bought Golem ico, so they are pretty smart in investment.

I will Agree on #XRP it has a lot going on with it and it has been talk of Sir Richard Brenson getting involed with it also not sure how true it is but never the less #XRP is always a good money maker
