Proof of stake is less capital intensive compare to creating a masternode. I believe you could make good passive income staking your asset with a good coin that has a working proof of stake mining set up! The top Altcoin like Ethereum is planning to go Pos mining, that show that project are beginning to see the potential of Pos mining!

Best passive income for now is mining because the price of bitcoin get decrease so if you mine a bitcoin you will get much profitable at this for bounty and trading is getting lossing me enough and hard to hold thos coins and ico that make you lost.

Mining with $1,000? well you can buy some few GPU's with it and start mining those coins that has low difficulty.But for me, if I'm going to take a shot with these passive income I'll go with those masternode coins but everything seems to be falling.
