What about sports that is fun to watch, but I am not fully familiar with. Like basketball for example. Its always fun to watch. Teams score all the time, they do tricks. I know basic rules, but for example I dont understand difference between personal or team foul, or why it is indicated below score table? I know only most popular players, but dont know 95% of all team rosters and who is the strongest team or player (as they all score during game). However, it is fun to bet on any NBA game while watching.

Three minutes ago I answered the question about my favorite sport, and yes, it is football, a sport about which it seems that a lot is known. It is difficult to talk about world football, since different countries will always have their own local flavor and training methods. Therefore, I do not cover knowledge about the games of the world football championship and about the players who occupy leading positions as the best scorers or goalkeepers, etc. But I always try to study my local championship very well, understanding which team and in what place can either lose or win. Therefore, of course, it is better to rarely make such bets but to know that from them, you will get a certain percentage of satisfaction and a certain amount of money.

It is better you learn first on something that you don't know so you will know what you need to pick as your bet. Learning is a must so you don't just pick a random choice for your bet. Besides that, you will not confuse about the sport because you now know how people play on that sport. You also know the player on the sport so that can makes you easy to pick your bet. But they will have their own method what they are going to do and maybe that will be different than us.

If you want to convert your investment into a casino or gaming site then you should gather proper knowledge about that site. If you gather proper knowledge about that site then you easily pick the right time to win but if you're not well known about the site or the site is different from your knowledge then you shouldn't invest there because you are unknown to that site. Few sites research you when your movement or research here and there, and where your action will be placed.

Very really that common that you would really be only thinking up on having some checks at the time that you will be experiencing some loses but on the moment that you are experiencing some wins on the time that you do make out some blind bets whether because of your own interest on betting into those things or had been influenced by others then you will be continuing if you have seen that you are making out some money with it, but on the time that you do experiencing up some loses  then this is the moment that you will be making up some searches about like this and like that and made out some realizations that betting on sports that you dont know isnt really that ideal. It will be that incur up loses on which its not worth on doing so.

Even if we do speak about betting then it is really that recommended that you should really that know on what you are really that indeed doing at least and wont really be that having that kind of approach on trying out to bet on something that you dont even know. There's no fun with that on which you are really that betting into a sport that you dont even know on how its played and it is really just that because being suggested by others but doesnt mean that you will be that doing also. There's no fun with that and we do know that betting or gambling should be that fun and not just that turning out some blind bets because of greed and  this isnt something recommended.

When you place bets on the game in which you've got good knowledge, it will increase the chance of winning. When we go with an unknown game, we just go with the odds selection in a random manner and not with good analysis. Sports betting is more data-oriented because the odds keep changing during the match. This is based on the varying performance between the two teams. If you don't care about spending on known games, you should go with the lowest odds on unknown games. It has a better winning probability.

Usually, it ends up only relying on luck, which is supposedly not going to happen in sports betting. In fact, being in this game has given us an advantage, and we take this opportunity. 
If we are real gamblers, we take the necessary steps to improve our chances rather than just relying on luck. And knowing more about the game or sports we bet on is the best move we can do. Or else, we are gambling for nothing and just throwing our money. I'm certain nobody would let this happen. 

Like many have posted on this thread, betting on the sports you know and have an
interest in should be a good route to take but it doesnt guarantee profits.

We might gamble on the sports we know but we also take chances or back favourites
that lose or underdogs with tasty odds which also lose too.

Analysis is really essential and we can do this on matches and sports we dont
follow or like as well as our favourites

Yeah that's true. It's better to place bet on games that you are familiar with because it gives you the ability to properly analyze and speculate the rights teams to bet for and also the right teams to bet against. Most gamblers have a particular team they support and there is always a high chance of them betting in favor of their team to win. Betting on games that you are not used to is difficult because there is a high chance you would probably speculate wrong based on the fact that you are not familiar with their teams or their rules too.
Gambling can be very speculative sometimes and in order to take advantage of sports betting you need to have some level of experience with that particular game and their teams involved. Else you may actually end up losing instead of winning.

There is no guarantee at all, so I think betting on any sport will not be a problem. Because anyway, to analyze the match there are many sources that can be obtained from google search, so they can still find out when they want to bet on any unknown sport. After all, I think betting based on the odds will also be fine as long as we are also aware of the risks. At least, the more we know about a particular sport I experience will also make it more difficult for us to make choices because it will cause a lot of consideration in making choices in betting. So yes, of course it comes back to each of us whether it is comfortable to bet only based on the odds, or it will be more comfortable  to bet by making an in-depth analysis.

This thread is underrated but to be honest, this is the best advice a gambler can give a fellow gambler in this new year. Don't gamble on something because you you see people are doing the same, you will only be losing without having the time to discuss that you actually won, don't copy others because you see them winning bets they prepared in Hockey game and you don't understand how they work, you will be the liquidity the casino is losing to winners.

There was a time I on NGN timeline saw a couple of guys were winning basketball games, I don't know much about basket ball then and then I decide to follow their lead, I was losing money and losing game while this guys where really winning. I later found out that I was playing NCAA basket ball while they were playing NBA games. That was how I knew I was dumb and knows nothing about basket ball, it took me another time to later understand how to play basket bets.

This is actually true. Betting on sports that you know well gives you an added advantage, but there are times when I have used my intuition and my analysis to bet on sports I don't know well and won. The problem is, I know too much about football and when it comes to betting on football I overthink it and in the process pick the wrong option, but with sports, I don't know too well, I don't overthink, I just go with the obvious options and I win.

The sports I bet on the most are football, Basketball and tennis, in that order. I win the most on football because I bet the most but whenever I bet on basketball I usually lose by a very low margin because I don't overthink, I just pick what is obvious, especially in the NBA.

It's not a wise move to bet in something you didn't know nothing, or you never have idea how the game goes, or how its history or pattern do the thing. Betting is like an investment, you bet on something that suits your personal knowledge and skills, otherwise it would turn into a failure if you only bet just because you have funds to lose and nothing else.

Most people who gamble on sport they don’t know are people who actually gamble for fun. When you are the type that gamble for the money, every penny counts and you can’t actually afford to lose any cash. There are people who totally believe in luck in bet, most of them don’t even analyze games before picking them, probably all they do is they just the odds and book their bets.

I also believe in betting in the sport you know much about, sometimes odds can be very deceiving, even the sport you know much about odds appear very tricky talk more of the sport you don’t know anything about. You will end up losing your money.

Exactly, sport betting is vast and wide, however I limit myself to Soccer betting that is my choice and preference, basically I am conversant with the sport being an ex footballer I have enough knowledge on that sport, I also follow and knew much about major European leagues such as Ligue -1, Laliga, premier league and Bundesliga thus I knew all the strong teams and weak teams across those leagues with gives more advantage of picking my bets after some through analysis, however I never bother placing bets on other sports like Basketball, Tennis, Horse racing even after getting signal from sport betting channels l sticked to soccer betting.

Sports betting is one of the easiest bettings and as long as you have the right information about the clubs and their opponents you are good to go because from afar one can point to a stronger team just by checking previous game's a d players' performance and how many of the available players can deliver on the lineups.


Having to be an addicted follower of a particular sport before betting on them is not necessary at this age and time, this flexibility is the reason why sports bets especially football bets have become the most popular form of betting lately.

Perhaps the most important characteristic a bettor or a gambler could have is to always be ready to suffer a disappoinment and still move on from it and continue to enjoy gambling or betting. No strings attached to his wager, which was lost.

This is similar to the response I gave few minutes ago. Sports we know much about should be giving much attention to if we want to bet on. But TBH there are persons whose favorite sports is basketball but they are very good in other sports betting. You may be wondering if it is really possible, of course it is. I know a friend who is very good at dog racing bets but his favorite sports is football. He don't often watch dog race he just know a few rules and things about it and he is good in betting on it.

What you say its right but i want to let you know that you don't have to know a sports too well before you can bet and win in it. Sometimes you can get lucky on your first trial on any sports games.

You don't have to bet which team will win the game. There are many options to bet (and win) without "knowing" or analyzing like crazy. And for me, this can make a sportsbook great. Options, options, and options.


Odds always will play the biggest factor for bets. Because even if you "study" everything and feel 100% sure, the odds can change your mind and derail you from the bet that you wanted to make at the start. So instead of putting the bet that you were sure, you start questioning yourself and then yes, things are going very complicated. But in fact, isn't.
IMO, if you know the basics and check the odds, you can play all the team games.

More precisely, knowing what we are betting on can bring us closer to luck to win the bet. Compared to betting on sports that we do not know for sure, luck will only come a few times and the percentage of winning is very small.
I admit what you said is very true and only impulsive gamblers think that all types of gambling depend purely on luck. While they do not understand how sports betting works that can be predicted to bring luck closer.
From several cases that I have experienced, I have felt the experience and until now I only continue to bet on several sports that I know and are easy for me to analyze.
