But many people still thinks that they can do blind bet in the sports they don't know so they want to risks their money. In few rare exceptions making this bet might not turn out as expected. For example, in ODIWC 2023, match being Australia vs Afghanistan, Afghanistan was pretty much guaranteed to win but Maxwell-Cummins brought Australia back into the game, this victory was from ashes because if you had watched you would have known how this game was dusted for Australia.

I don't remember bookie odds but I am sure they would have been close to what you mentioned.

How is this an advantage? Someone could argue that they could just not bet on a non-familiar sport and therefore avoiding that loss.

Another advantage is that you could still be very objective when you start learning about a sport without being a fan of it in the first place. Knowledge gives you an advantage even in gambling. Most people dont necessarily need to know much about certain sports before they place their bets. Gambling depends on luck but there is need to have enough experience to successfully play games. How would you understand these gambling terms, concepts and its applications without learning about them. Gambling should not be played for money alone, gamblers should enjoy their betting experience. I wouldn't place a bet on horse racing, basketball, hockey, etc since I don't have any experience. I will only place bets on sports I enjoy..

I almost agree with you. I mostly bet on football and I bet on individual boxing matches. I also place bets on Formula 1 drivers every season. But sometimes, just out of interest, I bet on cricket, which I don't understand at all. By the way, it is very pleasant to win such bets when you bet without hesitation and won. After all, sports betting is not chess, why not take a small risk?

There is a saying that "knowledge" is power and that is why we need to do what's right and bet on what we know. If someone keeps on betting on things that he or she isn't aware of, that is their problem.

But the advantage is certainly there for those gamblers that know what they are betting. YOLO is becoming normal but do not be that type of gambler when you don't know what you are betting.

If money is easy on you then do easy with your bets. And if each penny you bet is an important money to you then do not be like the YOLO guys, make sure that your bets are going in places and even there is no guarantee, you did your part of placing it on the right games and there is no regret - win or lose.

It will be unwise to bet on games where you have no strong knowledge in. A good rule in life is to bet on your strengths that will increase your odds of winning. Betting on your weakness when you know the odds are already against you is literally throwing your money away. It would have been better that you used that money to visit a cinema to watch the latest Mission Impossible than to waste it away betting on a sports where you know you will lose. I bet the most on football matches and cricket matches, but I don't brag about it but I am temporarily experienced. But I am blind to the future because a person doesn't know what will happen in the future, that's how it is in gambling because at the beginning of the game we can guess but at the end it turns out differently.
