Some republican operates are apparently considering the possibility that Trump drops out if his poll numbers do not improve.
I would consider the BLM riots to be another dirty political trick not unlike the Russia hoax. Trump's unwillingness to deal with them quickly has hampered his poll numbers and may end up sinking his presidency. In addition to not sending in the military to stop the riots, Trump has also badly fumbled his messaging during the riots.
Biden is an especially weak candidate, and I would suspect pretty much anyone could beat him. The debates could change Trump's polling numbers, but it may be too late to bring in a new candidate by then, considering the large number of absentee votes cast due to the coronavirus.
There are very loud voices scaring people out of admitting the truth, as the BLM propaganda machine appears to be especially strong. This may be causing some of Trump's current polling weakness as his supporters may be afraid to admit to supporting him.
I would say that a Biden win along with the Senate falling to democrats would mean that both the SC and Senate get packed with liberal votes.

His age might be his downfall but on the flip side Trump is older than Biden. Of the two Trump seems to entertain the audiences in his rallies more so than Biden does. How much will age play a part in this process which would affect public perception when it comes to voting?

But it is totally fair to look at these polls and think for a second -- maybe the issue at the problem is that Trump is botching responses to different issues (Corona, protesting, etc) So it's understandable to think that this is a pretty interesting time for the administration.
They're looking at bad poll numbers (worse then usual, as Biden is leading by another 5 percent then before this crisis started -- which was within the MOE) a struggling economy with high unemployment, a pandemic with about 100k Americans dead and resurging numbers in certain areas (Florida, Texas, etc), and so on and so forth.

Yeah, I think it's his tendancy to want people around him that are 'anti establishment' but it really doesn't seem to be working out too well. Would make a lot more sense to pick some (at least some) tried and true advisors. They seem to stick out of trouble and don't ya know -- go and write some book deals for millions.
I have a feeling that there aren't many honest people lining up to work for Trump. He seems to demand loyalty over everything else so he gets (1) crooks who pretend to like him or (2) not very bright individuals who might genuinely like him but are shit at their jobs.

Totally true on the loyalty portion of things. Trump demands blind loyalty -- which may work fine in a business environment where the stakes are a lot smaller and there isn't such a massive bureaucracy. In a government position, while the President may want blind loyalty from everyone in the administration, that's not really the job of many people in government minus the Presidents advisors and such.
