I wonder how Trump and his team feel when Stormy adds to the commentary in a public forum which essentially humiliates him.

I don't think he really gets humiliated.  If someone brings it up to him he just plays the victim card.  "I never met her before, she's making it all up to make some money and she has a horse face I could do so much better if I wanted to".

I have to say, she handles his fan club pretty well.

I wouldn't be surprised if his "protesters, anarchists, looters and low lifes going to Oklahoma" tweet made a lot of his supporters decide to just watch it on TV instead of having to worry about their car getting torched in a race riot while in the Arena and then having to pay the Uber extra because they smell like pepper spray.

Isn't that the whole point of terrorism?

What about social distancing within the arena during the rally? Considering the number of people affected with COVID-19 is increasing in record numbers in some states, why was the event allowed to go ahead?

Was it worth the risk for all those people that managed to attend the rally to face possible infection just for the sake of watching Trump while they wave some flags?

Lord. I didn't agree with holding a rally, but lord these people will jump on anything if it fits their worldview.

I think what makes it so schadenfreudy is that the Trump campaign was in complete delusion about this rally. Like the Brad Parscale's tweet above or this from Trump himself:

Quote
We expect to have a record-setting crowd. We’ve never had an empty seat, and we certainly won’t in Oklahoma.

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/06/trump-speaks-half-empty-arena-tulsa.html

It was still a huge crowd but a great example of woefully mismanaged expectations and terrible handling of the fallout - blaming media, protesters, etc.

Yet again we land back at what they could've said instead.

"Great Rally in Oklahoma, even with the horrible Coroaonvirus, we were able to safely have a 6000 person (or so) rally in OK. Great crowds, wonderful people, these crowds are going to be HUGE when all of this blows over"

Obviously none of that is what Trump personally would like to say, nor what his die hard fans would like to hear, so yeah -- we're back in this weird situation where people are left arguing about --> Crowd Sizes.

Would be fair to lay some of the blame on trolls and such, but you need to go about it a different way.

In regards to the Trump rallies and everyone yelling and screaming about it not being filled to full occupancy -- I mean, what the fuck? Obviously tons of people weren't going to be comfortable with filling a place like this up.

Many Twitter, TikTok, and other people fucking around with Trumps rally tickets and reservation systems so even if more people wanted to go their ticket may have been given to a troll.

You've got people like Pink going on twitter and saying they've sold out centers like that in 5 mins -- DOUBT YA DID THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF A FUCKING PANDEMIC.

Do you think this possibly has something to do with him hoping to sell more copies of his new book?
I think all the interviews we'll see from him over the next week are so are part of his Simon and Schuster contract - so yeah it definitely has something to do with it.  I wish he would've spilled the beans sooner though.

Do you think this possibly has something to do with if he can present himself as a political enemy of Trump, it will be politically difficult to prosecute Bolton for disseminating classified information via the publishing of his book?

No.  I think Trump is mad because the book is politically damaging to himself, not the country.

He has a history of trying to discredit people he view as a threat by spreading misinformation - like claiming they are a criminal and will be locked up soon for what they did.  That's what's happening here.

I have seen a number of high profile Republicans become "never Trump Republicans" solely business/income purposes (as far as I can tell). The "mooch" is another that comes to mind.

I don't think it's fair to assume that someone who turned on Trump and made money writing a book on it did it solely for the money.  There are plenty of Republicans who were never Trumpers since before he took office, plenty who turned on him and didn't make a dime, and I suspect plenty more that have remained silent so far simply because standing up to Trump means he will probably attack you and lie about you and millions of Americans will believe whatever he says about you and maybe even your family.

So John Bolton,  a life long Republican - part of the Reagan, Bush Administrations and Fox News - after fighting Democrats in DC for decades ...will not be voting for the Republican nominee and incumbent president. (edit: he's writing in a Republican, not voting for Biden)

John Bolton exclusive interview: Trump does not represent the Republican cause that I want to back

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/06/21/john-bolton-exclusive-interview-trumpdoes-not-represent-republican/

Some highlights:

Quote
“In 2016 I voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton,” Bolton told the Telegraph. “Now, having seen this president up close, I cannot do this again. My concern is for the country, and he does not represent the Republican cause that I want to back.”

Quote
“The president does not have a philosophical grounding or strategy,” he continued. “He does not know the difference between the national interest of the U.S., and the interests of Donald Trump. There is confusion over the national interest and his personal interest, which is very dangerous for the country.”

Quote
“When you are in a senior position you have an obligation to tell the truth,” he explained. “I was concerned after 17 months in the administration that he (Mr Trump) did not have the requisite competence to be president, and the American people need to know about that.”

And who were those 990,000 people?

You gotta ask Trump's campaign manager who was bragging about a million ticket requests:

https://twitter.com/parscale/status/1272543199647666176

Quote
Over 1M ticket requests for the @realDonaldTrump #MAGA Rally in Tulsa on Saturday.

So he must know who they are. He was also building a stage outside so he seemed certain that a massive crowd will show up.

The 19,119 seat arena was 60-75% full.

Here's the bad part when you test of when you do testing to that extent you're going to find more people, you're going to find more cases. So I said to my people slow the testing down, please.

Maybe he's tired of being the President... so he's trying to quit the job.

Impotus plays his ignorant minions like a violin. He could literally shit on the stage and say "this is for the fake news media!" and they'd all cheer him on.

Elections are NOT going to be cancelled. I highly doubt that Trump is going to be able to pull off some fucking Frank Underwood shit from House of Cards to try to sway this his way.

Doesn't need to be cancelled... postponed until we got law&order reestablished, or until we got a vaccine, or until that Martian situation is dealt with.

There are other options too. E.g. impose strategic curfews/quarantines/anti-Martian blockades in places that (completely coincidentally) tend to vote for Democrats. Or just ask China for help LOL.

if he postpones it without setting a new date right away i would be very worried.

Not saying he isn't capable of making some dictator plays, but I'm pretty sure that constitutionally he can not stay in office after whenever his second term would've started if there's no election and congress would have to pick someone else.  So it would have to be rescheduled quickly.
Watched some video about what would happen if there was no election. I think it said that according to the constitution and amendments etc, he would be out of a job something like Jan 20th. Then it gets weird and depending on what the states decided to do in terms of selecting senators, the new president would end up being one of them and I think based on the percentages, it could be a democrat. Either way, one would also have to assume the military upheld their oath to the constitution and escorted him out the door sort of thing.
