@Piggy it seems that it is only possible to receive notifications either via the thread or over telegram. Is it possible to receive them both via telegram and in the created thread in archival?
Once I enabled the telegram notifications I stopped receiving them in my thread.

Bumping up the thread for visibility, in case somebody didn't notice the the thread yet and may be interested in using it. The bot has been doing his job quite well so far, no crash or any major problems

@Saint-loup i made some changes as well to the alias, now you should be able to put Saint loup or Saint=loup as well if you like.

So I will change my alias.
Yes i suppose you had saint for alias, now you can actually set aliases with a space in between as well after the last change i made, so you can get notified just for "saint loup" mentions as well.
In the message to the bot:

this will avoid sending a notification while mentioning your own username or alias, now it's off by default for everybody

I see the alias you have set at the moment is saint so is consistent with the notifications you are getting.
Were you actually setting saint loup to begin with right? I may have to look into it and fix it, as is cutting off when it encounters spaces, if i remember correctly ( need to look into the code to be sure )
The last PM I sent to Maggiordomo was this one

But maybe the "=" only works for the usernames and not the aliases

Can you make this a configurable option? I've never wanted to use this feature, but I unintentionally triggered it several times.
This is my latest self-notification, and this is going to happen at all my weekly updates.

I need to have a look at the code on Monday, but as far as i can remember should be quite straight forward to make this change. In the end from your side is just going to be another on/off option to manage it.

yes that is intended, you can trigger a notification to yourself, perhaps if you want to save a link to a comment or for whatever reason.This is my latest self-notification, and this is going to happen at all my weekly updates.

You should be able to change the thread by sending a pm to the bot with options in the subject and directly the link in the body of the message
