I noticed that if someone quote a post that I was quoted I am not notified.

Can this be configured somehow in settings? I would like to be notified of such posts.

Minor bug: when someone mentions me and quotes another user, the bot tells me I've been "mentioned and quoted":
LoyceV, you have been mentioned and quoted in the following messages:

Hi Piggy
Just wanted to make you aware of a typo in the signature for your Maggiordomo bot account.

It says:
Quote
Bot for forum services - Manged by Piggy
I assume you wanted to write Managed.

It seems that I stopped recieving notifications? There were two quotes of my text on January 30th and I haven't recieved notifications.

Any information if the bot was down?

Yes there have been some issues yesterday, for few hours couldn't reach the forum apparently. I had then to restart it and everything went back to normal.

The notification works for this quote! So everything is in order now. Thank you Piggy:)

One little think I’ve noticed recently is that the @Maggiordomo seems to skip notifying when the username is followed by an apostrophe (i.e. DdmrDdmr’s so and so). I figure that you are parsing the username and interpreting trimming full stops comas, semicolons and so on, but I’m not sure if the above case is considered in the rules to interpret the alias.

DdmrDdmr’s doesn't trigger a notification, there can be only one extra character after the username ( so any combination of DdmrDdmr# would work)

For telegram notification you don't need at all a notification thread, they are independent.
Wow that's even more awesome!
However such thread must be started in order to register with the bot right?
Explanation @#1 is a little unclear, that's why I created the thread for him.

Grin it works  Tongue what a toy dude, big THX

you can indeed register without creating a thread in the forum, you provide the telegram username directly, maybe i should make that clear  Smiley

Does it have some sort of registration issues? Because I can't subscribe for some reason.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, sending a PM @ bot with subscribe as a subject and a thread link in the body, does nothing.
I have tried twice yesterday, gave it a little time for processing but the thread is still empty.  Huh

Love the idea, I was talking about that kind of a bot more than a year ago, especially with telegram in mind.
Back then, none was able to help and now I'm stumbling upon this topic... marvellous job Piggy Smiley

Edit: immediately after this post bot woke up... so it's all OK, I guess.
Only one question remains, do I have to "watch" my bot thread to be able to receive notifications on telegram?

I checked the bot and was not running apparently, but i'm not sure why. Anyway i started it back.
The list of users registered has some problem, at the moment is not updated, i need to look into it.

Ahh, fair point. The robot is right again! Doing a search over the last few weeks yields quite a lot of results, as well as a couple of bounty spammers with "Leo" in their name who are posting on a near-daily basis. Oh well, scrap that idea then. Smiley

I'm also starting to get some users refer to me as "Leo" as well. Would be super helpful to be able to receive notifications for both.
With such a common name, you can expect many false positives:
mfG Leo Carter
Leo Shallat auf All Public Art.

Piggy - any plans to implement more than one alias? In addition to sometimes getting "oeleo", which is currently set up as my alias, I'm also starting to get some users refer to me as "Leo" as well. Would be super helpful to be able to receive notifications for both.

Yes that is in plan, seems reasonable to have up to 3 aliases maximum, i just need some time to implement it and run some test.

I sent i brief pm to theymos explaining the situation hopefully we can find a solution and meet the forum requirements to prevent a ban of the ip Smiley

EDIT: bot is up again, got support from theyoms but is still unclear what the problem was as the ip was not showing up, but the behavior was consistent with a temporary ip ban.

@Piggy, I'm really hope that you'll fix the problem.

I don’t even want to think that the bot will gone.

Me too.
I got so used to it so fast. The first topic I visit everyday lol

I believe it could be a ban ip after all.

I could put the bot back online using some vpn but would be better to know what is the problem which led to the ban. I'll try to contact theymos and then see if the issue can be worked out somehow.
