Personally, it is completely not ideal to leave funds on the casino, anything can happen and the funds will be lost even with 2fa active on the account.
We've seen a case on this forum where a user left over $200,000 on his gambling account, He has 2fa activated and felt he was safe enough, but unfortunately, his account was hacked and the money stolen, the hacker probably gained access to his email account as well, and with that, he was able to deactivate the 2fa, then he registers another account on the same casino and used the internal transfer feature to transfer the money to the new account, and from there, he withdraw it out of the casino..

I think this case is probably an internal job.  There is no way the 2fa can be disabled by just gaining access to an email.  There is a need to undergo 2fa verification before our 2fa can be disabled. If the hacker had gained access to the 2fa then it is possible to deactivate the 2fa security, if it is just email access then there is no way to disable the 2fa even if the hacker submitted a request to disable 2fa, it still needs to verify himself or do KYC for security purposes.

Best practice is to never leave tangible funds on the casino, even if 2fa is activated.

Same here, I also believe that we must not leave our funds idle in any centralized services.  If it is not in use, we should withdraw it and keep it in our non-custodial wallet.

This case is very specific, but I have heard of different cases where you cannot leave the money funds because some casinos, if they do not go to them, can lose the money, something like that if they do not have activity, they suspend the account and obviously, they keep the money that was there, I saw that in a thread here on bitcointalk, which I thought was in very bad taste, because it makes no sense to do something like that, I know that when money is left on a platform, that money no longer It is our fate of the site, but even with all that they must respect that sense of belonging , I see it as something very legal.

Not only casinos but also some exchanges confiscate funds when an account is idle for some time.  I had this experience in an exchange when I left my fund there and got inactive for more than a year.  When I came back I found my funds missing and my balance was reduced to 0.

Using different wallet for gambling and savings is indeed good but it doesn’t increase the security of your account you are just using different wallet. It only minimize your losses when your account was hack.

I think 2FA and SMS verification are already enough safety precautions for securing casino account. We usually don’t leave balance on our casino account so I don’t see this security concerns as major concern. I’m gambling since 2016 via online casino and I didn’t experience even a single case that my is hacked. I don’t use any extra security aside from my password on my account.

Our casino account will be safe if you don’t login from links provided by other user. Always bookmark the official website and you will be safe even without this extra security.

I do the same as you and keep my balances small on casino sites but there are a lot of members with high balances on there (over 1000$ and a lot more). I do 2FA for every casino as we have had multiple cases on this forum where accounts got hacked so I would be carefull. It is not because it hasn’t happened to you, that it can’t happen so I would always add 2FA to my accounts.

Good point, not because it's still not happening to you means that you are safe. Better to activate that additional layer of protection before worse things happened in your account. No doubt that there are gamblers who can store a larger amount of money in their wallet and allow the site to hold it so they can just login and play,

gamblers who have a good trust to the site and most likely they are also doing their job in placing additional protection like 2fa.

Each casino site is centralize and when you deposit funds there or receive gambling winnings, everything is controlled by the team of that casino site. so there is nothing you can do if they refuse to give you that fund. 2FA can protect you from hackers but it won't give you the same freedom as decentralize. therefore, it is very risky to keep high quality funds on any centralized platform, be it an exchange platform or a gambling platform. So considering these things it is better not to hold high funds on any gambling site

Exactly, Player should deposit only what they can afford to lose regardless with 2FA and other extra layer security because a shady casino can hold the funds without any further explanation and use the ToS against players. There’s tons of report here that money was freeze by the casino. Holding huge amount in there that you can’t afford to lose is really a bad idea. Gambling is not a source of income or investment. People should stop depositing in there like it was a bank or something because there’s a lot of risk involved on depositing huge money on a centralized casino.

What they should do is try to recover the way for them to believe in the project again and that is very Difficult, for me things like this are fractured, and if there is no way they want to Recover it,it is up to the team if they want to stay so,Personally, if I did everything possible because there is a fairly strong Infrastructure in the casino, there are many things to recover, one is the token, the other is that the casino is more interesting for the Players and to be able to have a better option for them to be interested in playing there.

I had already commented on this in the past that casino tokens are doomed to failure for the following reason: in this market there are already many older and more reliable casinos that have a very simple deposit and withdrawal system that accept many cryptocurrencies, most people in this market uses bitcoin and it makes more sense that in the casino they accept bitcoin and old and established altcoins as a payment method, when a casino creates without its own token, then this casino is risking having more operational cost, they will have to pay a debt to maintain the casino and another to take care of the token, in the long run this operating cost increases, because the devs also have other things to do

and the price of the token will be falling, for obvious reasons: the market is saturated, there are many altcoins and there are many casinos, the cost of listing altcoins on exchanges is also expensive and people want the token to be listed on the best exchanges and when the casino cannot do this, so people get frustrated and also end up directing this frustration at the casino, that is, they look at the casino as incompetent. I don't know how far the team thought when they created this token, but time will tell if I'm wrong

It is very difficult to fight against a system that already has many things in context, first of all, as you say, the market is very volatile, unstable, with uncertainty, this is not going well for a market that has to do with tokens, tokens are alternatives to bitcoin and some cryptocurrencies, it is faster to do them and build a very alternative market that is still dependent on bitcoin movements, there is nothing like it or that depends on other things, it will always be like this, when we see it from another point of view Come to the same conclusion, altcoins, and tokens will always be under the same classification.

well the problem is that having a casino and also having a token implies that the owner of the casino also has to focus on making the token evolve, and in this case evolution of the token means being listed on the best exchanges and that requires the owner the casino has a lot of money to pay for listing on the big exchanges, and unfortunately what has happened is that the token owners list their tokens on the small exchanges because with that they won't spend a lot of money and start to get very rich with each sale of their tokens and after they already have a lot of money they no longer have big reasons that force them to stay working a lot on the project

and what happens next is that investors are begging on twitter for some information from the owner of the token, but it's in vain, he only appears when the price of the token is falling or when he wants to earn even more money so he says some nonsense and the his followers soon see that as good news and start buying a lot of tokens, seriously, sometimes I think that in this crypto market people look at us as the dumbest, because it is not possible for people to buy shitcoin and they are still deluding themselves that it will go to the moon, years and years of holding thinking that it will go to the moon, and the altcoin or token never arrives on the moon

It's funny Is the spirit of never giving up that most people in this crypto market have, and it's really something quite shocking, I confess that I've seen a lot of them spend years holding shitcoin that is falling and falling. finally we will see what will be the next step of the BetFury team
What he says is very true , many people want to wait to hold their token , and they don't know how much time they are losing, for me in particular I have a lot of experience in tokens related to a whole series of projects that At the beginning they are very good and they end very badly , I do not deny it for a moment, those who take advantage of the boom are full of money and good for them, because they took advantage of a system where few can turn out well and with no profits , but here the worst is what What they do is to excite the investors , and the investors have very good money there , so what they do is damage other projects that if they really want to achieve something , thanks to Projects where they have no support they make others not give more for projects they look very promising.

I am even more paranoid and keep my google 2fa auth phone as a seperate phone that i only use for that. Even though i don't keep over $1000 resting in casinos, not because i am worried of being hacked but because i am worried i might gamble everything.

But i agree with you, especially if someone is bragging how rich they are, they might get targeted. I remember some twitter influencer laughing how stupid people are getting hacked and how he has no sympathy for them. It took few days and i guess he provoked someone to hack all his accounts almost simultaneously.

So even though i feel like i am being secure, i am afraid that i have made a mistake at some point. But then again i am not rich enough that anyone would be even interested.

A good way to separate your money, though everyone has their own perspectives about this matter and I also agree that 2fa provides an extra layer of security but on your case I also get that point in separating your wallets as maybe you have one for investment, one for savings and one for your gambling, just saying the possibilities of how you deal with your money.

And for sure, it's not only you who are doing this, especially y those who are conservative in protecting their assets.

that's why it's important to save the secret key when activating 2fa because it's very important when you lose access like this you can log into your account in case this happens you are too careless though 10k BFG is probably big money you think why don't you think about store the secret key somewhere.

But as far as I know the betfury team can help with problems like this, you can wait for an answer from the active team in this thread too, but don't forget to keep in contact with them via their site, I'm not an active gambler at betfury but you can ask the betfury team to disable 2fa in your account, of course, with proof of ownership, if you can't prove it, of course, your account will no longer be accessible. good luck
I have written down the secret keys of almost all accounts that have 2FA in the notebook.I searched a lot but couldn't find anywhere. Betfury account 2FA secret key was not recorded in notebook or kept in messenger account due to my laziness. Currently this 10K BFG is very precious to me and I don't want to lose this BFG in any way. Trying to contact the team. I will definitely let you know if I can solve my problem from here. Thank you for advising me. Hope to get good response from Betfury team very soon.

It is always good to have additional security options, in my case it is enough to have the authenticator, I do not see any other way to have more security, of course there are people who associate their login with email, some other options are done through authenticate with SMS but this does not work well for me personally, because I have had bad experiences, when you leave the country and want to enter there is no way for the SMS to arrive because the telephone companies in my country do not open to other countries or with rooming activated, but there are many Security Layers that can be activated and should be taken advantage of, as long as the activations are saved , be it the QR code and passwords.

Personally, I don't use sms verification for any of my login stuff online except on a platform where the sms verification is the only option available to users, Google authentication or any other available form second factor authentication is always a better choice, and that is guaranteed to always work.
Sms authentication depends completely on the network and when the network is not available, it means you won't be able to login to what ever platform you want to login.

Always depends on what is more convenient to you since SMS authentication is enough for me. I don't usually go to places where there's no network connectivity and so far this works fine for me for long time. I like also the 2fa but this is just another hassle so I didn't activate it yet on my wallet. But if the platform require this I don't have a choice but to activate it.
For sure many will say that 2fa is much safer but I don't usually use my main wallet on risky transaction and I have multiple wallets for different usage.

Badminton is my alternative sports betting but it's very difficult to find value odds because in badminton the competition is not like other sports, where unseeded athletes or underdogs teams have a chance to keep winning, while in badminton, seeded players are almost certain to become champions in many tournaments.

I played badminton for a very long time and in the past tried to find good bets on it, but as you mention it is hard. Most of the times, the topseeded players will always progress and their odds are pretty low most of the times.

This is a problem for almost many bettors, they find it difficult to determine what match will make a parlays bet win, sometimes they think choosing lots of small odds will give them a win but small odds for teams or athletes don't always win, sometimes we think it must be the right match but it turned out the other way around. Often experience this in football and tennis matches, so sometimes it's better to stick with just a single bet and if you want a parlay, only with a small bet value so you don't really feel like you're losing when you lose, at least I've won 1 or 2 times at parlay but the comparison with the losers is very different.

What happened to me most of the times, is that the bet with the lowest odd always was lost and I would often end up with 3/4 or 4/5. Yes, you can have some winners, but in the end, It doesn't end up in profit.

I agree, I have my mail, my password, my 2fa, all that is enough. If someone gets over all of that, which would be very very tough to do that, but if they somehow someway do that then get in, they would have to spend so much time and they will find money that is not worth even 1 hour of their life lol, so I think that's even better prevention, not having much in there.

I do not deposit a lot because I know if I do then I am just going to lose it, so I just put in tiny amounts I will gamble until I lose, like lets say 20 bucks and gamble that away first, no need to put 200 right away, just put 20 first, gamble, let it end, then if you still want to continue then you may, but no need to put it all at the same time. Hence I am never worried about any extra security options but of course it's good to have.

For me, I won more bets in smaller sports like snooker as I follow that sport pretty closely;

Badminton is my alternative sports betting but it's very difficult to find value odds because in badminton the competition is not like other sports, where unseeded athletes or underdogs teams have a chance to keep winning, while in badminton, seeded players are almost certain to become champions in many tournaments.

I never made a profit when betting on parlays.

This is a problem for almost many bettors, they find it difficult to determine what match will make a parlays bet win, sometimes they think choosing lots of small odds will give them a win but small odds for teams or athletes don't always win, sometimes we think it must be the right match but it turned out the other way around. Often experience this in football and tennis matches, so sometimes it's better to stick with just a single bet and if you want a parlay, only with a small bet value so you don't really feel like you're losing when you lose, at least I've won 1 or 2 times at parlay but the comparison with the losers is very different.

the point is that even if a person checks by year or month or day nothing will change, it is a fact that gambling are not for making profits, so there is no point in looking at those statistics, for example a person who gambles gambling that depend on luck will put what strategy? martigale? will you see the statistics and then will you use martigale? or then will you put another multiplied? and that will change his defeats? I think it won't change anything. what has been happening is that people just need to manage their bankroll well to be able to play for longer while having some luck to win a lot

if the person has 10$ and puts 0.20$ in each section with a decent multiplier and spends hours playing, then that person already knows that he will leave with a loss of all 10$ or he will leave with a big win, he has no strategy in that, he just has that playing is waiting for luck, so it doesn't even make sense after the game to go and see the statistics, this even applies to sports betting that even though it is something that does not depend on luck, in the long term the only winners are the owners of the casinos and the losers are the gamblers

You are right that not a lot of people can make a profit out of gambling. When just playing casino games (in house or third party slots) than you just need to rely on luck. For sports betting, you can make a profit if you find value bets, which you can find but you need to look for it. There was a time that I tracked all my sports bets and I ended up with a positive ROI for 2 years in a row (very small profit lol). For me, I won more bets in smaller sports like snooker as I follow that sport pretty closely; I never made a profit when betting on parlays.

Let's get real here. Waiting until the end of the year to check your betting wins and losses is like waiting until your car runs out of gas to refill it. It's not the best strategy, right? I'm with you, buddy. Monthly check-ins sound like a solid plan. It's like your own personal "profit and loss" statement, and who doesn't love being their own accountant?

And the whole research thing, let's be honest, it's not a guarantee for a win. If it was, we'd all be swimming in pools filled with cash Scrooge McDuck style. Games can be as unpredictable as a cat on catnip. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with the punches.

I don't really agree. What is the benefit of checking your betting wins and losses every month? Will you adjust your pattern based on that? But I guess it also depends on how many bets you place daily/weekly. In my case, it is better to check it at the end of the year what my ROI is, as that is the only information that really matters in the end.

I really didn't know, but I'm checking my gopogle authenticator and it doesn't give me the option to save it in the cloud through my email, maybe I think I should uninstall and reinstall the app? but I don't dare yet, I prefer to keep saving the QR code to be able to access at any time, however, this type of problem happened to me a long time ago in an exchange, I exposed my entire case, they asked me for KYC with great intensity, I was able to do it and they managed to reset my account and I was able to go back and do everything, from my password to the authenticator, I believe that Betfury in their support can solve that, they have the ability and moral obligation to do so, so that this customer does not get lost, apart from serving him quickly.

There should be either a green or gray cloud icon. If you don't see the cloud sync feature in your app, you probably have an older version installed. In any case, it's just an alternative way to back up your codes, and it's not necessary, especially if you feel comfortable using QR codes as a backup.
By the way, what about Betfury? As far as I know, they were planning some kind of mega BFG event in the second quarter, but there is still no news about it on the website.
