We are going to be doing poker a bit different from other sites, in the spirit of what the old PRC site was meant to be.

The most profitable thing for us would be to just copy stars and allow multiple accounts multi-tabling and we just rake as many tables and players as possible.

However we want to make an environment for players to play and have fun and not have to worry about bots, multi accounting, collusion, huds, seat scripting or bum hunting.

So we will be doing something that is quite different from almost anywhere else you will have seen.

We will have more details closer to launch.

As for multi-currency, there will be BTC and ETH tables.

Also curious about poker launch marketing strategy.

A massive freeroll(s) with generous prize pool would most likely attract a lot of new players (if properly promoted and announced in advance), get them to sign up and make them familiar to the site, which is a half way to making them a regular players. Tough thing would be to pick the right time to account for time zones.

Signature campaign could be useful too, it doesn't have to be expensive, there's almost no open campaigns, other than ICOs paying in not yet existing tokens.

How are you going to go around the multiple currencies? Definitely the best approach (but not the easiest one) would be to do what BetCoin did, convert deposits into 'chips' i.e. with fixed 1 chip = 0.001 btc, and translate altcoin deposits to chips at the current market rates.

ps. Is there currently any poker site that accepts ETH and/or other alts (BetCoin hasn't relaunched poker yet afaik) ? If not, BetKing would be the only site that does that and that's very easy to promote (ie on relevant subreddits and alike).

Collusion will be detected through both manually checking and the use of software that detects the possibility of foul play.

Anything that is obvious collusion will definitely be seen straight away and the colluders will be dealt with.

Excited to see how this turns out.    What's the launch date and do you have any protocol to eliminate obvious collusion?

Congratulations on getting Poker to where it is now.  It looks great! I'm happy to beta test it out as I've always loved betking.io.  Poker does look familiar and thats great!  Means the learning curve to play is reduced for me already

Yeah. We are using a software provider so it's a bit of a different interface from what we had before but easy to get the hang of.

OFC will be there. It's a little awkward at first but the game becomes pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.

When you're choosing where to set your cards, you have to click to designate bottom, middle, top row.

Oh, are you bringing the open-faced Chinese poker games back? They were kind of fun.

We won't be running that again. It wasn't popular (even though it was +EV).

I'm unclear on that rule.

Is that a limit of 0.05 BTC per happy hour? ie. it's a race to see who can hunt the lucky bet first?
Or is it per account? ie. each account can only win it once per happy hour?
Or is it per IP address?
Or is there no limit?

What if I hit two winning 77.xxxx bets within 20 minutes and the profits sum to less than 0.05 BTC?
What if the profits sum to more than 0.05 BTC?
If I bet 0.05 BTC at 49.5%, the profit is 0.05 BTC. Do you double it to 0.1 BTC? Or would you consider that to be over the 0.05 BTC limit, and so not double it?

Will there be any more happy hours by the way?

I'm sorry to read about your issues with game-protect.  I think game-protect is just seeking attention to promote his own affiliate links for gambling sites.  Its sad that game-protect resorts to the tactics it does, which is basic trolling.  Most of the people I know think game-protect is a scam and if they ever really had an issue with a site, they would go to an established place like askgamblers. 

I remember before askgamblers became as strong as it is today, most bitcoin gamblers would share their own experiences in this gambling section and we would give each other advice on how to handle the situation.  The forum members here helped me out many times at no cost and that is how I got my 3.5 BTC back years ago from Betcoin.tm (its a dead site now with multiple scam accusations against it).  In exchange I helped some of the other forum members out too.  We did it for free, rather than paying in advance for some scammy trolling person that claims it is the internet gambling police.

There are still plenty of great sites out there and BetKing.io is one of them in my opinion.  I've played at betking.io a lot over the years, and had some great wins.  Easy and quick withdrawals multiple times too and a great faucet while you wait on your deposit.  I'm looking forward to the day Betking.io brings slots back, as I really loved the slots @ betking.io when they had them before.

To sum up, XarXymtroa I hope you do not let a troll & scammer affect the way you think about established and wonderful gambling sites like betking.io.  Do what a lot of other people do, just hit the "ignore" link under game-protects negative feedback/trust.

There's two reasons why he might promote BetKing

1) We're one of the most trusted sites/operators since 2014. I returned 6000 BTC to investors so probably proves how trustworthy I am.

2) He might be promoting his affiliate link. Players can get affiliate link in their account page.

I was legitimately going to try your casino out, but then I saw you pay game-protect to shill for you.   

He's probably the worst person you could have paid to promote your site.   

Speaks volumes about the types of people who run your site who would do business with someone with his frame of mind. 

The guy is clearly delusional and he is only hurting your reputation, not helping it.
