I mismanaged the Haaland situation in literally every game of the season - which is proving to be extremely costly.

Well, I wildcarded to be ready for GW25 and to bring much needed changes to the team so no point in crying now I guess. Double GW without Erling, yay - looking forward to it. He will be triple captain literally to everyone but me.

I hope that Haaland has a bad week. Cheesy

Well he doesnt lol

I removed Alvarez and Saka to make a room for Haaland and another lower value midfielders then obviously captained Haaland for this game. 20 points for being a captain from Haaland, I think he is back on track already. Two goals with one assist from KDB really pick up the pace for me as I have both of them on my team, hope to pick up more points from the rest of the players this round

Well, congrats! I didn't want to make any major changes for GW24 because I plan to use those free transfers for GW26 when I will need them the most so I'm settling for a low-points with KDB, Alvarez and Foden all under-delivering with low points returns — I wouldn't blame them much because Everton put up a really good game today.

I watched Haaland today ans he looks good to go. I will get him in the coming weeks just need to deal with GW25 and GW26.

I read some news about Diogo Jota that he couldn't join training because of catching flu however the source wasn't very reliable. Is there anyone who knows about this topic? By the way how many of you transferred Elijah Adebayo who is playing for Luton? Even though Luton have blank space on gw26 they have double gameweek on gw25 and gw28 both. I'm very regretful now for wasting my wildcard early.

As far as I know, he's ok for the game.
There has been some talk about the flu yeah, but doesn't seem serious.

I start badly as well, with KDB benched. Luckily I did not choose him as captain, he was my 2nd choice after (yeah buwa, have your fun) Running chicken Nunez.

As I have read some news about KDB and Walker to be likely to be substitutes right before the deadline I have decided to bench both of these two players. I assume that Pep Guardiola wanted to rest De Bruyne because of having an away match against Copenhagen on Tuesday. The only people who don't have Haaland among top 7 players are us. I hope that Haaland has a bad week. Cheesy

I really hope that isn't true. I just transferred him in.

Rumors about flu in Liverpool are true for sure. I just didn't see any specific names mentioned. Will be though for me if Jota and VVD are out.

I have Solanke coming off the bench if that's true... I really hope it isn't though.

If flu was going to come, it should've came last week Angry

That'd be some blow to me too, especially coupled with the fact I had to take some points hit to get him in and deciding to let go of Saka for the next few game weeks, all I'll be getting is Douglas Luiz coming of the bench for him, If the news were to be true I would have been better off sticking with Saka, to be honest or I wouldn't even mind then if he Saka blanks for the game week since I wouldn't have taken an extra minus -4 points for that transfer.

can't help but laughing seeing my captain choice, but it does seemed reasonable when I choose him
City playing in early term schedule, and that schedule usually provides nothing in return, and moreover they are playing against Everton, so couldn't pick anyone from City team to be captain

and overall, need some surprisingly good return from undervalued players, can't follow the pack, wouldn't help me jump up on the table

But what I like about "mighty Luton Town" is that they have the ability to score against any team especially big teams.
So maybe they will surprise us again but it's certainly a big gamble Smiley
I just went back to check on their scores against the big teams that they have played in the premier league this season and I say you are also not wrong about their abilities to score again big teams.
Luton were able to score four goals against Newcastle in Newcastle's home, four against Brighton when they came visiting, two goals against Chelsea when Chelsea visited although they did not win that game, One against Manchester City when Manchester City visited, Also three against Arsenal when Arsenal Visited, but just one against Liverpool and non against Manchester United which still sprinkles in some doubts.

Son and Richarlison are both capable of getting returns when they are *both* on the pitch. Remember at the beginning of the season how many people had both? Except now this time around, it's going to be even more of a dangerous combo now that Richarlison's finishing has improved.
and also with James Maddison fit again.

Salah didn't train yesterday, so Saturday's game comes too early for him. Son should play though - just not sure whether he'll start or come off the bench.
I kinda expect him to start and then to be subbed off after 70 min or so in case Tottenham have a good result at that point.

Thank God he's back, I can't stand people collecting points on Richarlison.

I would just have both if they weren't blanking in GW26.

Congratulations Champ!

Elijah Adebayo has been very good since joining Luton, already has a hattrick to his name this season for Luton, and has quickly become the target for Luton's attack that is a much stronger unit of their game than their poor defense. Luton's next game is against Sheffield, Elijah Adebayo looks very certain to score in that game, but after that game, It is hard to imagine him scoring against the better defense of Manchester United and Liverpool, which are the two teams that follow for them after Sheffield.
Thanks if you want you can call me "ggondae" Cheesy

You are right of course it would be very difficult for him to score against them.

And then again I sometimes have no clue what I'm doing here like Juergen "Grinsmann" or useless K-League players Cheesy

GW 23 winner is goodpunt with monster 104 points, congrats. Watkins, Foden and Richarlison all in his team definitely helped a lot.

Thanks Trofo.

What an unfair game for Alvarez. I watched the first half and he was shooting from all angles, had about 3-4 shots on goal, and looked more dangerous than Halaand, so I was confident he would score, but I was surprised when I saw the final score and neither Halaand nor Alvarez was on the score sheet.
Mark Flekken was exceptional in the first half of the game, he made many saves, but we knew it was not going to continue. Fodens first goal was not an uncalculated snap shot, he was composed and at close range, that's why he was able to beat Flekken.

Maybe I should behave stick to KDB, Foden and Halaand. (Another Maybe story)
Next game will be against Everton, I expect these three players to start because Foden has earned it, and Pep will want KDB to play many game so he can be back to best early for the rest of the season and Halaand too to score in that game.

If I were you, I would drop Trent and Alvarez (which is difficult) and bring in Halaand and a 4.5m-5.5m defender; you have stronger midfield choices that will keep you in the game for the long run. Halaand and Manchester triple player are must-haves for DGW 25.

S. Korea is out of the Asian Cup. I'm trying to bringHwang  to my team, although it would be after the current GW, as I expected him to take a week off.

I'm also thinking of dropping Trent. However I don't want to sell him right now as Liverpool are going to play double matches on gw25. As Liverpool's fixture is blank on gw26 maybe I can sell him during that time. When Salah and Son start to play it might not be a very good idea to have Haaland-KDB-Trent-Saka at the same time in the squad.

To be honest, I don't see any easier options, and it's becoming increasingly impossible to tell without knowing what you have in the bank. If I ever had to hold an 8.0m defender, it would be Trippier; no matter how poorly Newcastle United performed, he was always racking up attacking points. There is no way you can afford Halaand with your current lineup; either you  downgrade your defence or your midfield and attack. You can't have it all.

Is there anyone who knows about how I can add Haaland to my squad for gw25?

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/02/06/vzehD.md.png

I'm thinking of selling Alvarez and buying Haaland. I think that James McAtee could be okay instead of Richarlison after that. If you have any better midfielder recommendation than James McAtee for 4.4 million euros then please tell me.
