To all you fantasy pros, looking at my current team will I get +5 and +9 points once this gameweek has concluded?

You will win +5 points from here as Zouma is going to play instead of Haaland. As your captain is going to be Watkins you will win +9 points as well from your new captain. Long story short you will win 14 points after Haaland gets out of your squad. The situation with Solanke isn't clear yet. The possibility of getting +3 bonus points is being discussed.

Edit: I assume that FPL board are going to wait for the Luton-Bournemouth match to be completed to close the 17th week.

What does that mean? If Solanke scores a brace or Senesi scores a bullet header in the continuation, I will get more points?  Grin

I also don't know. I think that FPL executives also don't know what to do now and they have made such decision to gain some time.  Huh

Salah and Nunez ruined a really good week. Nunez is horrible - he's so frustrating to watch, but you expect him to score something eventually in Liverpool's attack.

He's got 4 league goals from 7 xG and has has 9 points in total in the last 5 games. I'm really tempted to jump on to the Solanke train, but I just know Nunez will have a lot of chances vs. Arsenal.

It never crossed my mind that Liverpool wouldn't be able to score any goal home today.
Strange day at Anfield, and against the record that Liverpool have at home. Manchester United did not have the odds and statistics in their favor, but managed to still get a point from this game, and subject Liverpool to third place just behind Aston Villa who have more goals. Salah blanked! Nunez blanked!

The elephant Arsenal is back on top of the league with a very dominant performance against Brighton,  and good points for Saliba with the clean sheet.

Palmer scored me my highest points this week, I would have had more points this week had I made the necessary changes to  my team.

Ironically I would've gotten MORE points if I just played 4-5-1 with Trippier - Alvarez - Haaland benched than if I did a FH. But who would've guessed that?

Maybe Arsenal was just lucky that time, but that's it for me with Arsenal defense, now I did Saliba => Porro.

Nunez is useless,
Dominic Solanke looks like my next target, he is a better option than Nunez with a very consistent performance for Bournemouth. With his current run of form, Solanke is likely to score for Bournemouth in their next three fixtures against Forest, Fulham and Tottenham.

Come on man, we (the guys without Haaland) needs good round of our players when the android 16 doesnt play for Manchester City, and this doesnt happen clearly, i was expecting a lot of goals on Liverpool game against Manchester United, i was quite close to spend my triple captain on Salah, luckily i didnt.
Onana saved a lot of balls yesterday and Liverpool were just misfiring. Scott McTominay would have also scored a goal, but Alisson pulled out a brilliant save.

Liverpool against Arsenal next, and it is still going to be at Anfield, Big game to decide who sits on top of the table, but I trust the Elephant.

Sometimes it really pays off to take a big hit, before the start of this game week I had a couple of injured players, no active goal keepers and also some under performing players, I got a really good score (73p) thanks to going for 4 transfers, If I had made only one or two transfers I would probably end up with a total of 50 maximum, luckily between Dubravka and TAA i got 16 points which covered for the hits and then some. Also I feel I have rebuilt a team for future game weeks.
I feel if you are far from the top spots it can definitely pay off to take 8 or 12 points hits to get a higher score which can eventually make the difference in getting ahead a few ranking spots. But sometimes it might get you the opposite result as surely many of you know.

Another thing..... Come on Pau Lopez, i send you to the bench in the two previous games against Man City and Arsenal and him make two clean sheets, and now i put him on the starter 11 and...... allow a goal, and Colwill collect more points and is in subs.

Watkins to Nunez will forever remain the biggest downgrade ever this season. Nunez/Halaand to Watkins is the must do transfer this week.

Nunez is useless, Halaand (City blank week) , Watkins easy Captaincy choice. I'm also headed to Chelsea defense ( B. Badiashile) £4.4m

After the previous season I never thought that I would be this close to the top. I hope that I can challenge for the championship until the end. morvillz7z, congrats on your win this week.

You can also look at it as free 6 points since he will still probably play that game and have a double game week soon. We will just have to wait and see. Not much difference for our pool, all of us at the top have Solanke and we are all in the same "boat"

Don't you see cryptofrka in the race? He is near the top and he doesn't have Solanke. Tongue Before the double game week it wouldn't make much difference as everyone will have him.

What a strange week, all the defenders returned this time around and boosted our scores.

Except for "Mee", who have Ben from Brentford, he was shown show a red card in the 71st minute, while my mind was already on a probable clean sheet, not so much damage done though, bar the -2 points, they've got a blank next game week so I can easily bring in Matty Cash from the bench or Mitchell if he's fit enough.

This week free bet winner is morvillz7z, congrats man, was wondering when you will get to the top positions this season. I know you always end up being my nemesis in all fantasy games so i felt a bit more secured while you were in lower parts of the table Smiley This was very close week and lot of us were in couple of points difference.

Is there anyone who knows something about the points of the Luton-Bournemouth match? I feel like 3 points were stolen from me.

Nkunku has recovered from injury and he is training normally for some time now. He is even sitting on the bench as I am typing this so maybe we can see him in action today. He still needs to gain match fitness and i don't think he is good FPL option in this crowded period but I expect him to start getting regular minutes in the squad.

Yup, Nkunku was the one I would have gone from the start if he was healthy. I'll surely incorporate him into the team at some point.
Haaland on 13.9, I hope he drops another point before GW19.

A decent round so far for me, but I need Salah and Nunez to perform against United tomorrow. Last game on Anfield was 7-0, this time I'll settle for 1 goal less.

As for me Nkunku return seem of very perfect timimg, he'd have had enough time to gain his proper match fitness back before Son, Mbeumo and/or Salah leave for the Asian cup and AFCON respectively, so he's going to have a permanent sport in sqaud for the period provided no unforeseen circumstance occurs, while Arsenal or a couple of City outfied players will be up for grabs for me too(since they have no player that would be playing in either tournament), I'm just trying to figure out the best way possible to navigate these transfers without having to use a widlcard or take excessive points hit.

It's always better to wait a few weeks for someone who has been gone for months and has just returned; he's not going to walk into the team and Poch isn't sure where he'll fit in.

I expected to see him play some minutes, but I understand the manager's reasoning for leaving him out; we need to get the timing perfect this time, and it's not like we're going to win the league anyway.

For the first time this season, I missed the deadline, leaving my Captaincy on Halaand and Vice on Saka, so hopefully Saka performs well tomorrow. It's time to let Halaand go.

The game between Bournemouth and Luton has been abandoned after Lockyer collapses during the second half. I hope the guy recovers well soon.
So what happens to the players earned points in FPL, do they still count or do they get cancelled. Personally I hope they do not count, sorry Solanke owners!
Oh! That sounds serious. I did note that the game was interrupted and consequently stopped but, it wasn’t a key game to view with Manchester City 2:2 Crystal Palace, Chelsea 2:0 Sheffield United and Newcastle United 3:0 Fulham still getting to unfold.
You just raised my concerns to it on the case of a collapsed player.
Checking on it now, it’s a cardiac arrest issue with the player and the Luton Town media has reported him to have responded to treatment after being taken off the pitch on a stretcher.

According to independent.co.uk, He’s said to have collapsed before during the Championship play-off and is actually suffering from
Quote
atrial fibrillation, a condition that can cause an irregular or abnormally fast heart rate but had surgery to fix the issue.
Good to know he would be fine in the end.

Owning Solanke doesn’t matter much to the news. We’ve taken hits more than that in the FPL but, there are chances the points might be allowed. It’s just another GW, make up in the next.

I think all the points earned up to that period including BPS stay on. (At least I hope it's like that, because I tripled up on Bournemouth.) FPL app is not sophisticated enough to take abandonments in consideration.

It's like that Luis Diaz disallowed goal vs Spurs, FPL is not smart enough to handle that sort of thing.
