TAA is my major concern, I don't think I want to spend a transfer on any defender just yet, although he ties down a fortune, but I'm still partially fine with him being in my squad.
TAA in this new system isn't worth that money. Yes he still has one of better balls in the game but he just isn't that attacking as he was under Klopp. Better for Liverpool considering how they are defending this season but much worse for him as FPL asset. If I was on a wildcard I would probably go with Konate. If he stay fit he is definitely best points per million player in Liverpool defense.

Welp. The prizes have become much more valuable.

It will be Lambo for the first prize by the time the league comes to an end and we're at $500k  Cheesy

8 players have reportedly withdrew from England squad, at least that's good news for those that plan on bringing some of them in to replace of Haaland, hopefully they'd be fit just in time before the resumption. Meanwhile I am flailing around in 17th-19th.

My bench seems to be good for now except for Jacob Greaves who I will be wasting no transfers on.

I activated my Wildcard and the first I thing I did was to sell Haaland. I transferred a few players whose price might increase to protect myself.

Using a wildcard now sure would feel like having/using a superpower, especially when one isn’t particularly doing terrible to begin with.

You’ve finally pulled the plug on Haaland, I’ll probably never grow the balls too, unless he gets injured or something (like everyone else not having him) then I’ll consider it deeply.

I had 3 Tottenham players last week but Tottenham's performance against Ipswich was absolutely disappointing. I thought that I would be able to get some extra points by selecting Solanke as the captain. When it comes to this GW I activated my Wildcard and the first I thing I did was to sell Haaland. I transferred a few players whose price might increase to protect myself.

Gosh, I should have waited!!!
The winner of this pool will be the player who is both lucky with the changes they make and those they don't make each week. The Solanke move seemed pretty good, but it turned out bad.

Smartvirus felt captaining Wood would pay off, which turned out to be another bad decision. Some people brought in Bruno Fernandez, and the move paid off in the last GW; Trofo, Igebotz, cryptofrka picked Dalot, and it was almost a good decision if not for the early substitution out.

What I am saying is that there is really no established method to ensure you are making the right decisions and picks; you simply cannot know before time, you just have to make your choice and then hope.

I couldn’t agree more, winning the pool will come down to getting a lot of things right, especially transfer and changes, the Solanke move was properly calculated imo, of all other candidates I thought of bringing in I did check their next run of fixtures, but I somehow missed it in the case of Solanke, I got completely shortsighted by the fact that they were playing Ipswich, I could live with McNeil for Brenan Johnson knowing the former was injured, but Solanke for Jackson didn’t feel good at all, I only figured immediately I made the transfer, If transfer weren’t irreversible I sure as hell would have cancelled it before the gameweek started, but it’s time to move on now.

Hopefully Saka's injury is not very serious, and he will be available for the Nottingham Forest game after the international break.

Same here. I only sold him because I honestly thought it was a proper hamstring and you generally stay away a bit if you pull that proper. Worked out in the end as I replaced him with Mbeumo, and the cheaper guy has performed just as well.

Now it is time to poison Wissa and Bruno Fernandes

Do it!!! You know, I've come a long way in FPL. I ditched my gambles in Nunez, my expensive Trent, and finally succumbed to having City assets (Haaland not the least). But the one thing I have not been able to seriously consider is United players. I like Bruno a hell lot, and Rashford before he became a sulky droopy shoulders waste of support, the former especially should be a bargain if his form has truly returned. I can't make space for him though, so feel free to poison them!

Comfortably sitting on accumulated free transfers, waiting to see how the Nations League will finish. After that I plan major changes, especially to my offensive line.

I feel awfully terrible for changing my initial intention of not using free transfers just yet, they sure would have coming very right, I wasted two be rid of McNeil and Jackson, for Solanke and Brenan Johnson, both players who are likely going to be out of my team just yet again, the transfer turned out to be of no advantage whatsoever at the end of the day, I really would have better off keeping those transfers, having them right plus a -4/-8 would pretty much feel like using a wildcard. Gosh, I should have waited!!!

Yeah - whatever the reason, it's simply not clicking.
He had an easy run of games and didn't contribute much, would be unrealistic to expect he starts now with harder games coming.

I have 3, but I will use them up if I ditch Haaland. Hoping to do so anyway but it's a long 2 weeks+ before we get any injury news. Honestly can't wait to get Saka back in.
Hopefully Saka's injury is not very serious, and he will be available for the Nottingham Forest game after the international break.

I think the main problem with Solanke as an asset is that his team struggles to feed him the ball, so he drops deeper each game to find it and help with the buildup. When he scored a brace, Richarlison was also on the field, and I think Richarlison was the main reason Solanke scored because he can think like both a striker and a midfielder. He understands Solanke’s strengths and was able to provide him with the ball more effectively than other teammates. Solanke is a great striker, but this team is still new, and they’re playing in a very different style than Bournemouth.
I don't think Solanke has the total trust of his teammates yet, like he did in Bournemouth. Tottenham players will prefer to pass the ball to Son or Dejan Kulusevski than Solanke; this is why in most of the games he has played, he has had to drop back, deep into the midfield, so he can have the ball.

I suffered the Solanke selection as well.

That Dalot substitution could not have come 4 minutes later, eh?

United assets kinda saved my ass this week, Fernandes was supposed to be my captain but I switched to Solanke after his performance last week.
I had enough from him, he simply doesn't click well with this Spurs team. In theory it all makes sense, in real games it looks like shit. He's the first one out of the door for me.

I have 4 transfers saved, will make 5 or 6 of them, I'm paying a really hefty price for selling Salah.

Another great Salah captaincy. Hurts to see the top 4 still going strong. Couldn't have arranged my squad better except perhaps to swap Porro for Konsa (I thought it was a hedge really, did imagine Spurs might lose, didn't imagine Porro would get an assist).

I am still holding off on Haaland. Even if I sell him, I don't have enough to replace him with good midfielders (I need to sell him + one other).

I don't know if anyone here is also playing the fantasy on duelbits other than icopress who is literally on my ass there, it feels good to see another user from the community here starting quite well there as well, it's tough to keep the balance between both squads, as they use another set of pricing and scoring mechanism there but the overall idea remains the same.

My team there looks easy for the changes I'm planning to make this game week, and it's completely different from coming to a conclusion for me on FPL, on there, I'm able to not take chances with Cole Palmer and switched to both Bruno and Isak, while still being able to keep my Haaland, Salah and Solanke, however, on FPL I've made over 20 transfer drafts in the past 2 days, and still nowhere close to being comfortable with the outlook, If I can't arrive at any solution within the next 2-3 hours, then it's autopilot for this week, again.

I am playing there too and  "literally on my ass there" too  Grin

Tottenham about to lose by two goals to Ipswich at home is a headline! This GW has been awful for me; my selections are all underperforming.

They lost. There's absolutely no good Tottenham asset so far for me. Son is struggling in his new position since Solanke came into the team.

Bloody hell Ruud !!! Dalot clean sheet is gone !! All he needed what 5 minutes more on the pitch to get clean sheet point. That sub was unnecessary. Such an average coach damn it!!!
Those things screwed my week as well. Had captain on Son and of course even Johnson and Dalot in my team. Had really high hopes from all three of them and they got me nothing. Ah well time to take some hits and then slowly grind the rank.

This GW winner should be B1g4udge with monster 80 points. Will be official tomorrow. Inspired choice with Fernandes, Cunha and captain on Salah. Well done. Send me your Rollbit username for free bet.

Chris Wood eventually didn’t get me the goals I needed and I gave him the band. I guess am still going to leave him with it a little more. Can’t have regrets over taking it off him.

You captained Chris Wood ?! That’s pretty gutsy! If he had provided good returns, I’m very sure he’d have been a huge differential for your team.
Yeah I did, I did and he didn’t get me the goals in this road, instead, Haaland got one. I still don’t regret my decisions though, his being great but, Newcastle sort of placed him in a hard spot not to have come up with any goals. It wouldn’t have made a lot of difference with Haaland even. Don’t mind him doubling those 5 points for now.

The Arsenal and Chelsea assets, it wouldn’t have made a lot of difference since, there are a choice on many teams. One decision I made wrong this GW was Fabianski. Thought of taking him off the bench to replace Raya but, was quick to do away with, didn’t build my logic in time but, it could have paid off.

Smartvirus has got balls! It was a very audacious choice.

Glad that there wasn’t anything significant from the major Arsenal and Chelsea assets, the week could have turned out worse for me, with Brenan Johnson and Solanke both firing blank.
Only Salah and Mbeumo escaped the two points virus that the other members of my team gathered each.

Salah rescued me a bit because he was my captain. I am now wishing I still had my wildcard option because there are so many changes I will like to make to my team.
