I did some research and found out that the best time to use my wildcard is week 12

Fully agree here, I'll be saving 5 transfers for it. Potentially even make 1-2 more for negative points.
Many good teams getting great fixtures then, so many options to choose from.

You don't have injury problems that dictate your benching? I know I have at least 4 flagged players and what is worse I want to sell Solanke who is not. Waiting for last minute news before doing anything.

Nope, just Wood but I consider him safe to start. Don't like Villa assets (Rogers and Konsa) away to Spurs and I have 3 United's (home to Chelsea).
So far I will bench Villa players and start United's and hope that Foden starts for City.

I should be good for the following rounds - but this one looks like a low-scoring one for me.

My United assets destroyed Leicester in the Cup - would have been 50 or so points from 3 of them yesterday.
Means just 1 thing - they will all blank against Chelsea.

Still unsure who to bench in this round, I hate most of the matchups my players are taking place in.

Now I do have Haaland, I don't see the point in letting him go when I've not exactly been great at identifying the form mids either. Still glad I took Saka out and got Mbeumo, but now I'm going to have to restructure to get Saka back in -- probably a couple more GWs til I can do that though, unless I WC it out.

Barring any significant injury, I’m stuck with him until the wheels fall off mate, the only window for me to possibly take him out would be let’s say some 3-4 weeks to when I’m playing my next wild card if I find potential suitable alternative premium players with far better fixtures ride for that period, and I’m sure bringing him back in on the wildcard for the final run.

Premium midfielders without Haaland has been my ex strategy, by the way. It doesn't work out because of the captain roulette =)

I believe that this strategy can work as I think Haaland's performance in the Premier League has not been good in the last few weeks, but the decision to sell Haaland is really hard to make. So I will keep thinking about this strategy until the last minute Smiley

It’s such a hard decision to sell Haaland because it takes him just one match day to take any potential edge or advantage another opponent might gather over 3-4 game weeks, and more so it’s going to be really tricky to get Haaland back into the fold once he starts getting return especially if one spread his budget across several other midfielders and defenders, for instance it could cost as many as 3 transfers to get in Haaland for let’s say Palmer and Saka, so going Haaland-less is potentially a 5-6 transfers move if you plan to get him back in at any point.

It might be something to think about if you can somehow time those fallow periods right. Sell him for the midfielders, then get him back in  -- but I ain't got time for that guesswork plus the international breaks now I feel are too often, and just breaks up any form you feel you're getting a hang for.

Im seriously thinking of removing Haaland from the team and getting 2-3 good midfielders instead of him to push me up. Haaland wastes a lot of money and points lately...
The more I am seeing this talk of removing Haaland, the more I begin to consider it as well. Maybe that will be a good decision because his turnover has been really poor.

I will give him some more time and see how he does against Bournemouth. One goal is not acceptable from him

Ten Hag is sacked; maybe Dalot will actually be a good asset now.
Good news for some supporters. News is Ruben Amorim is lined up for the job, and Manchester United want the deal done before the Chelsea game this weekend.
Just a warning - I predict he is going to go up in flames too eventually. Like Mourinho and Solskjaer.
I don't doubt this at all; we have seen it happen many times. Even before ETH joined United, there was also this hype.

Quote
He is like Ten Hag in that he wants total control over the recruitment, so he's going to bring his own set of players flops like Antony.
The deal is in the final stages quickly to bring him in by Manchester United; now the pressure mounts on him. His first big test will be against Chelsea, and if they lose in an embarrassing manner, Manchester United supporters may be quick to start questioning if he is really the man for the job.

We are 3 in the top 1 of this GW with 76 points, I was the only one who kept Saka on the team and that made some difference
Yeah, there is 3 of you but we have only one GW reward so we turn our selves to official tie breakers (first one is total points). So congratulations Renato297, GW9 reward is yours.

You still have your wildcard unused ? I'd say your level of patience needs to be studied if that's the case. I doubt I'd have still have it even if my team was doing pretty well because there is always something to improve on for me, lol.

Last month, I didn't have much time to pay attention to my team, so I couldn't use my wildcard. I think I'll wait another week or two to use it. Looking at Haaland's recent performances in the Premier League, I've seriously started considering building a team of premium midfielders without Haaland.

I haven't used mine either, but it's really a case of not knowing what to do more than patience. I like what I have, and have enough free transfers (even using them only because of supposed injuries).

Haaland wastes a lot of money and points lately and i cannot afford to be bad each week. As soon as i get 2-3 transfers in the bag he is going off. Plus 40% of players have him at least

@Buwaytress I guess it makes sense as such, especially when your team doesn't seem broken and there is also free transfers to bank on for those minor mandatory alterations.

-------------------------------

I can't lie I've seen some really decent teams setup without Haaland, and it looks really great to say the least, so I tried tweaking my squad as well to see the best I can get for a No-Haaland team, and what I arrived at for a -4 points hit is quite better in my candid opinion, I would have pulled it off If I had there was no points hit involved, because I wouldn't take him off without being injured on a point hit, secondly my reason for holding back is that my alternative premiums aren't having the best fixtures, at least not better than that of Haaland's, thirdly Haaland have solved one significant problem for me, and that's the captaincy band (since I've had him, I've never had to worry about it), It would be a real headache week in week out to decide who to captain If I don't have him in my team.

Perhaps after Chelsea vs Arsenal match, I sure would be able to consider switching to Palmer or Saka going forward both players are like the closest to Haaland in my books and they get to play all available minutes too with heavy involvement in goals even when they're not on the scoresheet.

A new manager can certainly have an effect on any team, especially Manchester United. Dalot should be good, but not in this GW where they play Chelsea, that are a very confident team right now.

Going to the weekend games, I will not be surprised if Brighton take points from Liverpool and Bournemouth give Manchester City a tough time at the Vitality stadium.

If Gabriel's injury turns out to be serious, I'm f*cked!

I have Greaves, McNeil, and Wood already injured; I will not be happy that Gabriel joins that list.

Wood is only flagged because he put ice on his leg.

Greaves was never going to play on your team.

And you can just sell Gabriel for Gvardiol unless you're priced out now.

The noise around Saka actually helped us Salah holders btw. 59 points! Although next time I will play in a 3 - 4 - 3.

Ten Hag is sacked; maybe Dalot will actually be a good asset now.
