Some big players performing today, I hope Palmer and Salah stay quiet.
Saka and Timber in the mix to feature for Arsenal against Liverpool. I will not be surprised to see Saka come back from injury to register an assist and a goal for Arsenal.

Which of the teams do you consider the underdog currently between Arsenal and Liverpool in this game?
Considering all the injuries to Arsenal squad and Saliba suspension, I don't see a way how Liverpool looses this one.

I have a feeling Palmer will have a good haul today. Newcastle tightened up a bit but still not enough.

Fear of missing out. How would you feel watching City game after Haaland scored on start of the game against worst defense of the league and you don't have him in your time or you didn't give him the captain? There is no other player in PL that makes you feel that shitty.

By the way it is also about luck sometimes. Haaland had better xG yesterday then when he scored those 2 hat tricks in the row. Just read some Haaland triple captainers complaining about it on twitter  Grin

They had 8 shots on target - in such cases you expect them to score at least 3 goals.
Not sure how many of us still have TC chips, yesterday was another game in which I felt it made sense to use it. Glad I didn't though Grin

Mbuemo should have had my captaincy, I don't know why I taped it on Haaland (I know why, Southampton made sense) and viced Mbeumo. Don't care though, still want a Salah hattrick tomorrow (haha).

Shame about Wood, was looking for that hattrick. He was great for me, maybe time to swap him..
We'll see how serious it is, but Forrest getting to a tougher fixture list anyway.

Yeah, I'm trying to bank free transfers but every damn Matchday I have to do something about the injuries. Should still be good to have 2 transfers next MD though. Wood, though, what a buy.

Yoanne Wissa already looking super good after a 1 month setback, most probable replacement should Wood be missing extended time right ?
All cheap strikers looking good at the moment. You have Wood, Wissa, Cunha, Welbeck, Jimenez and Delap. Seems quite likely I will dump Solanke for one of them and maybe even Haaland. So much value at the moment.
Calvert Lewin hitting another blank GW. Mcneil also without a goal, an assist, or a valuable contribution. To make things worse, it looks he has picked up an injury that will keep him out for some games.

As for Rogers, his days are numbered in my team; such a shame that he could only deliver a point.

I couldn't agree more the cheap strikers are becoming more consistent with their returns, even if though it's vastly just usually single digit, the level of consistency is just quite astounding to say the least, I also could have been tempted for a no Haaland switch, but there are no other premium players worth chasing after either due to unavailability or lack of enticing fixtures, that's made it tougher to see past Haaland right now.

I saw icopress taking him in this GW, lucky bugger. [...]
I only bought it because everyone in our pool had it. I think it was a really good decision to buy it this week.

Anyway, we'll see if it was worth it (when I tally up Havertz and ESR vs Mbeumo & Jiménez).

Konsa
My patience is not limitless... it seems like this is the third time shit has happened (substitutions in the 11th minute when Aston Villa had a clean sheet, then the bench... and now this goal in the last minute).

Oh come on Konsa, another clean sheet lost in the 95th minute. I think my defenders conceded 10 times already in 90+ and ruined the clean sheets.
Trusting Brentford's defence was a mistake, conceding 3 at home to Ipswich is something that should never happen. Well done Mbeumo though, but I assume most of us have him. I saw icopress taking him in this GW, lucky bugger.

City 1-0, Foden playing 90 without any contributions, looks like an average round in the making. I need United to deliver - which is always the worst thing you can hope for.

Morgan Rogers days could actually be getting numbered now that he’s gotten subbed off, quite a wasteful guy but always on for 90 minutes have been the reason to have him. Not much to it yet, though.

Race to captain/player of the gameweek is on, Chris Wood already leading this race with two goals scored against Leicester which already puts him in the team of the week...while Haaland got on the scoresheet early,  means goal drought is cleared in the EPL and hope he goes crazy with a hattrick or gets more goals to his name  Tongue

Come on team Haaland,  paint the sky blue  Embarrassed

Damn!

I hope it’s not something serious because dude has been a life saver of recently and he’s super budget friendly, If he’d be missing just a week, I’m definitely still keeping him.
Post-Match Interview, he said it was not something serious. I hope so.
Just a guy stepping on his foot. Nothing serious, should be fine. It hurts of course but those things heal quickly and even if they don't there isn't any problem playing trough it. No additional risk of aggravating the injury.

Vardy keeps returning from by bench.

Which is not too bad, considering that he is the 'in case of emergency, break glass' option.

But that also means my midfield is supposed to be good.

Salah - Rogers - Diaz - Mbeumo - Semenyo sounded like the killer combination, but I am not particularly happy with how Diaz or Semenyo are performing these days.

Maybe Diaz => Maddison and Semenyo => McNeil is the move here.

Tough fixtures, also I don't really feel like he's worth 11 million.
There will surely be fixtures in which I'll take him, but I still don't believe in Chelsea when the games are tough and think there's better value elsewhere.
When it’s about the fixtures and Chelsea not doing much in tough games, we might agree on that but, to say that Palmer isn’t worth what his priced at, am not so sure. He is 6 points just below Salah as it is, priced at £12.6 who seems to be worth that price. It all comes down to what you want on your team.

I didn’t get Haaland on my team early enough and it cost me a bad start. I was focused on his price and it wasn’t worth it at a time but, I got him for a far more valued priced and his goal scoring dropped! Several captaincy chances thrown to the wind and yet, am still watching to see what he does against Southampton, after 2 goals at the UCL.

Shame about Wood, was looking for that hattrick. SHe was great for me, maybe time to swap him..

Probably because he got substituted but, he’s been some of the best transfer I’ve made this season and am not letting him off my team any time soon.

The best options look to be Johnson, Bowen or f%&king Adama Traore. Whatever I do' I'll 100% mess it up.
I have Johnson; I have had him since last week. I was cut up with too many decisions this GW; I decided not to take action but just leave my team the same and bank my transfer for GW 10.

Chris Wood gave all who have him a feast today.  A good start to the GW.

Palmer isn’t a bad choice either, he’s impact for Chelsea and points is evident in his rise which makes me wonder,
Why you had to avoid him…
Is it a dare to be different kind of thing since his on a good number of our teams or
It’s more about the money in the bank for you?

I was really close to leaving Eze in my team when finalizing my transfers today, because I could find a perfect replacement (upgrade) work around, I just had settle for McNeil at the end of the because he’s cheaper and Everton’s fixtures are quite better I could live with him dropping a stinker with his price than Eze putting a big dent in my budget week in week out.

Don't be upset..

After a week of thinking about who to pick, I see 3 minutes before the deadline that there's a game on tonight.
So, in 1 minute in which I had to pick who to take, I chose Garnacho.

My instinct was to avoid Palmer - I could have squeezed him into the team but decided not to. Almost 5 mil in the bank - and I plan to keep it that way for a few rounds. Crazy.
Garnacho isn’t a bad choice really, his being very instrumental to most of the success with the Manchester United team.
