I need Salah to get more than 4 points than Saka and Isak combined in second half just to break even.
Salah was completed disconnected today, Moreno made sure that Salah did not have the chance and space. Really poor and unexpected performance from Liverpool, who have not conceded any goal this season and then lost and conceded a goal in the same day, a home game. Good, I kept my captaincy option with Haaland, who I knew would channel his grief to get a good performance in his friend's honor.

Aside the two first games that Ipswich played in the EPL against two big teams, I feel they have a pretty good defensive line. Last GW3 draw to Fulham and today's draw to Brighton are proof of it. None of their defenders picked up a card, even in the game against Fulham too.

Joao Pedro is not in first 11, not among the subs and not among the injured players ?? I am sure we will get some story about that. Of course he was part of my switch to get Salah. Looks like terrible decision so far. I need Salah to get more than 4 points than Saka and Isak combined in second half just to break even.

Of course it was always a 2 GWs punt, so there is GW5 to consider as well but I definitely expected more.

Salah was one of the worst players of a horrible Liverpool today. When things aren't going his way, he's probably the worst good player in the world.

My Liverpool picks are doing horrible so far. Jota is a shitty 7,5 pick, Quansah already cost me 0.3 mil without doing anything and Salah has been good, but considering our schedule could have done more.
Expected to pick a lot better from a team I know the best.

He's already making a killing, while everyone was pretty much focused on Haaland potential absence we lost track or Joao Pedro who's ended up MIA, that was supposed to be my sole transfer had I not pull the wildcard, even if it's just Haaland's return I'll be getting right now, the wild card feels like a huge success already.

Since you all won't play fair, how about we all play with the FPL cheat code?!  Grin Grin

Lol. Pedro did pass under the radar, nobody saw it coming. Porro is my first sub. Lol

You honestly think you'd survive the FPL without the Robot? Halaand and Bruno both play FPL, so having players like them on the team is always beneficial. They are saving not just us, but also their own teams.  Grin

Yay, please all idiots who thought Salah outscores Haaland this GW raise your hands.
Shit, nobody? Just me? Figures..

That's what you get if you go against a guy with consecutive hattricks. Today might be 3rd one in a row, while Salah hasn't done a thing so far.

There is no solid update on the issue from any source, and as per Guardiola press conference he said it's yet to be known if Haaland will be mentally available for the match, my guess is he will play.

Let's hope so - Damn it I don't even know what my starting lineup looks like " system is already updating" I wasn't going to make any transfer but was sure going to make 2 substitutions and maybe a captaincy choice ( still on Halaand though). 2mins late.

Luis Diaz played for Liverpool even when he had some family challenges. I know Diaz is different from Haaland, and each player has different ways of handling things and reacting to serious situations, but it is possible that Haaland plays and then makes sure to score a goal in honor of his close friend who he just lost.

I think anybody who isn't doing Haaland (C) Salah (VC) is going to be in for a rough time this week.

The robot, if he plays, will become a Terminator.

And if he doesn't, well we all know what Salah is capable of doing.

Speaking of Hall and Barco, those are supposed to be your bench players, aren't they ? Is taking points hit if you have 11 players that would be playing any better from taking point hit from one healthy player to another ?

What Barco are you talking about? Im missing or the Barco from Brighton is no longer in Brighton he went to Sevilla.

Or is other player?

Same Barco mate, we were rather talking about whether or not taking points hit to get him out is the right way or waiting to use a free transfer since he's meant to be a bench player for a FPL squad to begin with.

What's the Halaand absent news I'm hearing, anyone have solid updates on his situation. Going to be a heavy knock on my team if the update is true.

I was reading it right now, very sad news. Asides of my jokes about him missing some rounds because of a injury, this is a very sad to know the loss of a close friend.

It is all about future, they can get me points while these two can't.

Switching between healthy Saka/Palmner/Son is probably luxury which has much higher chance to backfire. Especially since they are all on penalties.

I’m finding it hard to get the full glimpse here, if it’s about the future which no one knows just yet which player could be the next to get injured or fall out of rotation again I suppose that’s where the free transfer comes into play since these players aren’t going into your starting lineup, would it not have been better to use the future free transfer to get them out rather than pay -8 points for bench players if the wild card is apparently considered too expensive and more so when you’re just one or two game weeks away from using the wildcard anyway, or maybe this where it all balls down to individual approach/strategy and plan for each chip/free transfers.

If you take hits now you'll be taking hits the whole season. Haven't you seen my last season?
Hits are bad, everyone knows that but I feel like everyone is a bit to afraid to take them. Maybe because all the content creators are dead set against them.

I look at it in a different way, hits just to switch some player that is perfectly fine like Eze to Madueke are plain stupid. But if you made a wrong call like I did when I went with Hall and Barco are justified. I am missing squad depth and that -4 for Hall to Dunk should pay off themselves in next two games.

Also I am always more inclined to make hits early in the season to catch price rises and rectify mistakes. Later on we have more info and it is easier to plan ahead.

I took a shit load of points hit last season and I don't think it's the way to go but you are right majority of mine last season was from one healthy player to another simply because I believe the other he's having a way better fixture, I don't recall any of those transfers ever justifying the 4 points hit.

Bro you can't be serious.

Indirectly talking to those managers under the rain thinking wether to WC or not- when in doubt take a hit.

If you have any premium MID or FWD then they are all better captaincy options than Bruno or Isak.

I do not have Palmer and can't trust Saka without ERS- Bruno against weak Southampton ticks the boxes for me.

Hit taking at this stage is probably the best strategy, no pressure, the league table is still wide open. If there are no injuries and I'm able to accumulate my FT till GW6 I might not need to use my wildcard.

I'm thinking towards Captaining Bruno or Isak against Halaand and Salah options this weekend.

Not saying it's bad choice, but I've seen managers hit the WC in the first week of the international break; why not wait until the second week or after all of the games? I'm not obsessed with player prices, and I don't enjoy trading players for profit; I just afford what I can and deal with that.
Because you are only gaining by hitting it as early as possible if you are 100% certain you are gonna wildcard.

If you are not, than by all means wait and see what injury situation will be like at the end of int. break. Or do it like me, make few early transfers and then decide on deadline day if you are gonna wildcard or not. Currently standing at -8 and 50:50 chances to use it. I sort of think 0.5M gained is worth -4, -8 not so much. But then I want to keep WC for GW6 or GW7.

I didn't think I'd be faced with such a heavy indecisive mindset after the international break, I'm really so caught up in between using the wildcard and playing with transfers as passively as possible, and while it's seeming like a moot point to use the wildcard given the uncertainty with a number of players for this week, the need to structure my team for the next 3-4 game weeks is paramount and 2-3 transfers for this game week would not help as I might still need to pull the WC trigger next week.
