anyone noticed that the user with the GW Rank 1 and 123 pts has made 11 transfers so far and took a massive -40 pts from those transfers? i wonder  if i should take some risks too

Wow! I thought I was the one to have taken the most risk with -12 at the moment after Igehhh sacrificed -8 points to better his team. -40 points is just so much except your implying that these changes weren't done on a go else, I doubt it would be worth it. That's almost a whole GW's points and a WC would have served better. Still thinking of when it would be the best time to use my WC although, my team looks better as it is.
Talking about risk, loosing -12 points was great risk for me but a risk worth taking aa it earned me the most points in GW7.

Webtricks had 72 points, I'd say both of you are smart enough to get enough players from GW7 games on your team. I believe you should use your WC after the international break because looking at your team, you do not stand a chance when the league resumes fully. I missed the deadline, but I wouldn't have changed much to favor only GW7. My current team is a long-term project, and I will only be forced to take risks if there is an injury concern.

Being aggressive and taking a few calculated risks/hits here and there is alright, but i would never take for inspiration those weekly high scorers. I mean just look at this dude, he has played every available chip and his overall rank is 8mil+, how many more weeks before he quits? Grin

If you take out the 40 pts and the bench boost points he actually scored fewer points than you this game week, and you have taken just one hit.

taking risk is needed, but it should be calculated
I entered Son this round, but did not wanted to go that far to fill-in all eleven players to play, and went solid points will only 8 players (most of it from Kane and Son), it was risky to play with 8 players, but -12 points would not get more, and eventually not sure that I would keep all players that would be in for this round

Tarkowski brought 8 points with first clean sheet for Everton this season

He took some risk and got maximum points from it but honestly I doubt that that he is the only one that made that type of risk. Considering that there are some postponed games, there could be alot of people that probably made decent amount of transfer as well but it worked out well for the rank 1 player and not for tons of other players that made that risk as well

I'll probably stick with getting max 4 transfer per GW with the free transfer included though in case if I really have to take a risk

Hindsight is a bitch, everything looks so clear and decisions so logical. My rule of thumb is not to make minus transfers and especially not anything more than -4 which is sometimes inevitable.

That being said I went -12 last week to get 11 players with fixtures and prepare my team for the future. This was a good time to go with multiple transfers since my situation made it almost like sure 2 points more for every transfer made. Meaning I am actually paying just -2 for each transfer making it much more feasible.

Bowen was hands down most dangerous player for West Ham last season which got him big price of 8.5M this year. Then he entered the season very poorly (just like Son) and his price has dropped all the way to 8.1M. Took him in my team since West Ham has a great schedule going forward and I hope his resurgence will start from today's game against Everton.
As someone with a West Ham player (Fornals) on his main team, i think we need to start looking for other alternatives before it's too late, the team is just absolute dogshit, imagine losing to Everton, what a disgrace  :/  international break came in clutch for the Hammers and i'll probably keep Fornals for the next GW, but they're gonna face Wolves, tough side, so i won't get my hopes up

I'm surprised I' still in the top 10 after a woeful weekend.
i noticed that league table positions don't seem to change that much lately, is it gonna be like for the rest of the season? looks like you need to break 100 pts in a GW to climb up the standings ):

Nicely done you guys who did Son some faith! Discussed him in the EPL thread but I actually don't often put Spurs into my team, even though Son/Kane should have been an option I considered more this week. Off the bench, hattrick, I suppose I should at least be happy Jesus scored (but of course got himself a yellow too).

Odd thing, I checked and saw bloody Trent still in my team, was 100% sure I'd swapped him out this week! Man I need to pay more attention to FPL... FML =D

Well I still have Kane in my team I almost gave up on him after GW1 i Still can't explain how i missed two free transfers when I still have two injured players in my team. I'm surprised I' still in the top 10 after a woeful weekend.
Kane is actually quite great this season, he has attacking returns constantly and if there wasn't Haaland, Kane would be probably best asset in the game. As it stands, Haaland created some new standards in PL and it is difficult to fit 2 premium strikers in our squads.

Anybody watched Newcastle game? Wasn't impressed by Isac at all, he got nice return by converting penalty, but he looked quite out of the game. Should be a bit better when Saint-Maximin comes back and takes a lot of opponent defense players attention on himself.

You probably forgot to click the confirm the changes, you need to click on 'save the changes' button each time you change your draft. That happened to me once on GW2 as well though, some of my transferred players ended up on the bench instead lol.

-snip

You might have eventually to knowing how conservative Guardiola has been with De Bruyne, I know when he's on the pitch he makes the job generally easier for City and he's a threat from every aspect of the from set pieces to open play or even taking the scoring matter up for himself, but the fact that Salah will always be on the pitch unless injured is the kind of reassurance one would have to pick as a manager if there is the need to settle for just one of them.

Yeah pretty much but assuming that nothing majors happened for the next 4 GW then probably I will save the following week's free transfer to swap him out with Salah in case I need to but for now I think De Bruyne is going to rake a decent amount of points for the time being or atleast until City is way ahead then the other teams in EPL

Heung Min Son is back! "304 managers Triple Captained Son Heung-min". Anyone here part of that group?

Bringing Son to cover for Kane was my only decision that proved profitable this season.
that was so clutch. Congrats
I have another similar player in my squad and I am expecting big things from him today. Bowen was hands down most dangerous player for West Ham last season which got him big price of 8.5M this year. If this one works out that will bring first really big green arrow for the season. This weeks looks ok for now 48 points and still 5 players to play. Good result from West Ham with Emerson and Bowen starting should make it very good for me. But not getting my hopes up just yet, as I said, moves like that backfire more often than not.

De Bruyne is already paying high dividends to all the managers who trusted him enough to bring him for Salah, who wouldn't trust him enough though ? He's racked two assists to his name already, and might also pick a bonus point or two.
I sacrificed 12 points just before the games were postponed in game week 7  following the Queen's tragedy and somehow, it paid off. A little at least, my points in the game week at the moment is above average and measures up with the top points earners in the league. I've got 3 players yet to feature and would soon see what points they might add to it. Sadly, my best point earners also reduced the chances of my goalkeeper earning good points as I seemed to have played against myself in this round.  Anyway, am satisfied with the performance of my team except in the defence line and I would be looking into that in the coming game week.

I brought him in this GW to replace Salah lol. I probably wouldnt have if Liverpool wasnt postponed but I dont think Im switching back to Salah for a while  Roll Eyes. Got him and Haaland on my team, I guess they are going to keep on getting decent amount of points as long as City scores then I guess either one of them are going to be involved in it

I'm sick to my stomach. This season, I've never been a part of anything good; I'm always on the side that picks or sells the wrong player. Lol I got Pusisic very cheap at the start of the season because I knew he was going to play a big role in Conte's 3-4-3 formation, but I got rid of him after GW1 for not getting a minute, and the next game he had an assist and a 9-point performance and made the first team. I'm now stuck with shits.

Bringing Son to cover for Kane was my only decision that proved profitable this season.
that was so clutch. Congrats

and i'm in the same boat,, Heung Min Son unlocked. Now what? with this monster peformance from him today i think he's earned a place in the starting XI, question is who's gonna go to the bench? Kulushitski or Richarlison? the former has been so bad in the last few games, i think i'll drop him and then i'll make some changes in my team including a -4 to try to buy Son, could be worth it for the long-term 🤔
Richardlison will be placed on the bench right away because Kulu is dangerous both on and off the ball, has excellent pass vision, he played a key role in Conte's struggle last season.

I have triple Spurs for this GW and all i want is: Kane hattrick, two assists and a goal from Kulu, plus an assist from Emerson and why not a goal too and obviously a clean sheet. Very doable if you ask me  lol
If you ask me Kulu not playing, Son finally getting some returns and no chance of clean sheet. Leicester is terrible when defending but they know how to score a goal or two. My main tip for today is both to score in this game.

Kane hattrick is very possible and I am quite afraid he will ruin my game week since I don't have him. Took Son to try and cover for him as I said earlier but that is despair.

Let me take a guess, you're having more than just a great day, Son with a hattrick, Kane with a goal and assist to his name too, without considering the bonus points that'd likely be coming for them too, damn! It will take me shit load of weeks to be able to make up for this difference, that's if I'll be able to catch up  Sad

New FPL Tip: If you're having a player on team that's playing against Leicester City, hand him the Captain band!
Targeting attackers who play against Leicester or Bournemouth has been on my radar since season started. Only problem is that guy Haaland who scores against anybody and has already punished my "smart" choices several times. Now I don't even bother, I just give the armband to Haaland. I expected Leicester to concede at least 3 goals today.

Bringing Son to cover for Kane was my only decision that proved profitable this season. Sure did not look like that when he started on the bench. Those first two goals from him were pure class.

Now I am faced with big problem, do I keep him or replace him immediately as was my plan from the beginning? I can wait till national break is over, since after scoring hat trick his price can only go up even though he plays in Korea just 48h before Spurs next game against Arsenal. Probably another bench for him.

way to go Son, I changed Salah for him this round, and he delivered (although shitted me on beginning being benched)

Kane was captain (who is brave enough to captain Son with score so far)
but Mitrovic failed, Fulham won, scored three, and Mitrovic did not put it through

should be good with eight players on roaster playing
