What you told in opening post reminded me of trying to make money through the Dice game, which I ended up losing quite a bit of money.
I had this bad  experience around 2018, I played Dice using ETH. My starting capital was around 0.7 ETH and in a short time I was getting
11 ETH. Finally I made a withdrawal of about 3 ETH to buying the things I wanted. Then I used the remaining 8 ETH again to play Dice games,
but soon I lost all the capital I had. Luckily I have enjoyed the 3 ETH that I have taken before. This is a lesson for me to never play long-term
gambling, and don't be greedy to make big profits.

For 2020, I play sports betting more, but in 2020, my financial situation is not good. The budget for playing gambling is limited and I don't bet
too big. Maybe around $ 100 in the budget I provide for gambling capital every weekend, because I always play gambling on weekends only.
But because in 2020 sports matches cannot be attended by spectators, many results were unexpected. So the conclusion is that my gambling
experience in 2020 is arguably not good.
Same as me there are many people around, but very few users share the experience. Someway what we share will benefit the new gamblers in one way or the other. However we should not try to make a negative impact over our life at any circumstances. Even if there is something bad happening we should develop confidence to overcome the situation.

It was a decent year for me too, but I gamble mostly with fiat. A couple of months ago I started following a few very good tipsters in football and basketball, which freed a lot of time for me. Plus I'm seeing decent profits with only one losing month.

I hope 2021 will be better Cheesy (no losing month)

Your tips are good enough for every gambler, and we should follow the tips to prevent the loss. Every gambler faces losing their money in gambling, and we already have that much experience in the last year. In this new year, we have a new chance to change better than the last year to reduce the losing money in gambling. We must have control over ourselves, especially controlling emotion while playing gambling, and don't forget to have limitations. I am sure we can do that because we have the power to control ourselves.

Controlling emotions is the most vital part of being a gambler until you will have no desire of playing anymore. when losing so much especially losing in a big amount every day will lose your desire to play even though the next time you have some extra money to play but if you suffered a great streak of losses, you need to think if playing such games are entertainment to you or just a wasting time and money.

Basically, you don't have control over your gambling habits. It is normal for natural gamblers to still gamble even though they oath not to gamble but in your case gambling is slowly taking over you if not already. You are even gambling with your only savings as you stated and that is pretty bad in your situation specially when you already lose a ton before.
Learn from your mistakes, if not you'll lose everything in the long run.

Not much, just having fun. I'd often spend around $5-$10, yes it's small, but hell I'm only here to have fun so why not right? I'm just glad I had something to play with tbh, especially in these hard times. It's probably why I've never bothered with tips and tricks or better finance management since the only finance management I'd actually need would be to limit my funds in playing. Sounds easy ngl, but it really takes some insane amount of control, especially if I was under the influence of Gamblers Fallacy, which makes it hard to bear. Didn't also have that much wins, heck I think I lost out overall but I'm fine with it. It isn't much loss tbh, and for this year well, I just hope not to increase the funds I use to gamble.

It just normal to lose in gambling. It was design that way so that the house or gambler owners and founder will earn as their means also for living in return for you to have some fun and excitement when betting. This is why one should need to be more realistic in betting not to believe on those good stories about betting that earn huge money from it.  It happen but it will going to be so hard to achieve and that you will only going to lose in the process trying hard to win big rewards. Is it achievable? Yes, but very low chance to none that it will going to happen.

Looks like this is Not a Betting History but rather " THe Story of Your gambling Addiction "

You have Made a Mistake earlier losing 0.7BTC ,Man You know how much is that today? And You are very Lucky to Have a supportive Girlfriend but what you are doing is something that one day you will regret .

If she Realizes that You are not worth trusting ,Surely She'll leave you for Good.

Remember that Gambling will never lose to us Players , So by any chance try to take Little by little each time you Play , So at least there will be a Way to recover from your Mistakes.
This is also my thoughts after reading the OP, and I can’t imagine to lose such money. Well, gambling will always be like this and very few who really succeed in gambling, maybe those who have strategy and self control. I don’t have much of betting history last year, fortunately the pandemic prohibits me to gamble that much.

It looks like it is, if this is his betting history he will show us data on his is losses and his winnings not a sad story on why you should limit your gambling and not focus on experience, it's better for OP to chance his story and make it a story about his agambling in 2020, that a better title than the one we are reading right now.
There are some Data Mentioned about the Amount of BTC that ahs been Feed to the Gambling Operators  Grin

I have go back and check how much I had deposited and how much I have profited or lost from gambling. However, overall, I can say I'm in profit but that not too much ad I don't gamble with big money. The unforgetable betting this last year was getting 5.40 odd for ManU against PSG and I won the match. It was a big win for me indeed.
that's good to hear that you keep on checking your progress, it is good to have the list of how much you've bet, and how much you got in Gains and your losses as well. At some point, we tend to have more and more income last 2020, we want to earn because of that pandemic most of us uses their savings, so we want to have another source of income and that makes us wrecked, me myself experience thst in 2020 so this 2021 I will not do what I did before.

It is painful to read such topics, especially when they mention third parties who in some way suffer from the gambler's losses  Embarrassed
I hope these losses, which were sensitive to your budget, will help you become more disciplined and avoid gambling altogether (or at least until you can allocate really free money for it).
As for me, I lost $ 500 in trading this year. It was sensitive but not tragic)

Surely the years of you gambling have honed your behavior and most likely your skills altogether. A lot of people might say that what you stated is something they already know or whatnot but only a few people are actually able to do so. Especially when it comes to the issue of control, where moet people lack at.

One of my regrets as well after losing some amount. Losing just $100 in dice is already unforgivable to me, I'd already be thinking that if I just hold it I'm already profiting because of the BTC rally. Such a small amount but its a pain. Promising not to play on dice is hard to do when you are promoting it yourself.

I'd suggest to get a breather everytime you lose, regardless of how big or small the lost is. Losing even a single dollar might take a toll on some gambler's decision making and would altogether push them to do things they otherwise wouldn't do if they have a sound mind, so take a breather, watch some TV, play relaxing games, then comeback once the lost doesn't get to your nerves that much anymore.

You should atleast let your girl know whenever you do gambling so that you can have her opinion about it and control you in case you are out of control. I have this gambling addiction before. I share my problem to my girl and she really helps me to control it by reminding me to gambling whenever she saw me. Sharing your problem really helps to fight it. Don't let addiction control you, Worst case you will be depressed alone due to loss.
What you said is true, I should've shared my gambling plans and asked for her opinion. Here the scenario is different, already she had suggested me not to gamble alone. Do it for fun with her, but I wasn't able to follow it. Second thing after the first heavy loss, she cried a lot and those days are really bad. Those moments made me not to share my losses anymore when I go out of control and gamble.

What helped me a lot was to cut back on the funds that are readily available for gambling.
If it was a crypto, put most of it on some sort of cold storage, like a hardware wallet or a paper wallet. That way, you're not going to be able to easily lose control and gamble everything. It's very much like when you're looking for creative ways to hide candy from your kids!  Cheesy

The worst option for me was to keep larger sums directly on the gambling platform.
