Since betting on sports has something to do with the talent, I don't consider it at gambling.
My vote is also yes as like many other users because betting is sports in also a kind of gambling.Gambling can be divided into different form like gambling in casino,and sports betting is also one form of it.We stake our money in it,so yes sports betting is also gambling.

Sports betting is gambling and I take it this way like many other people. Since there is nothing sure about the outcome of your bet ending at profit or with some loss. This is gambling's universal explanation where you have even a loosing chance of 0.01% it will be gambling. Whereas in sports betting chances of loosing are much more higher but lesser than other kinds of gambling.
I don't think that betting on sport can be considered as gambling. It is, as poker, all a matter of skill, that can, however, being altered by a luck factor.
If you are really careful with betting and have source to get some inside news than it's not a gambling, but I personally would like to say this sports betting is very similar to any other casino game and it is gambling in definition of risk factor.

By definition on dictionary, the word "gamble" means "to play a game in which you can win or lose money or possessions". http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gamble So of course, sports betting is a form of gambling.
One can argue from that definition that you're not playing a game, you're betting on a game.
