Sports betting is purely gambling as you are not going to get sure income because of loosing risks involved. Sports betting is less risky or has more chances that is not the issue. That is simple to understand gambling is equal to win/loose and sports betting also works on this prescribed definition so they are equal and same by all aspects and means.

I totally agree with you that sports betting is less risky as you can get full details about the match and the teams who are going to play with their previous records , so with this help you can prepare a report of the upcoming match result, if you take less risky bet then surely you will be in profit but in other gambling dice and casino games what ever strategy you do you will be in loss at the end.

Well I voted for "yes", although I agree profession sports betting is not a myth. Although it's not a myth it's still gambling. You can call it professional gambling if you want, and I think it's possible both in sports betting, and in poker as well. I can't see it in any other place. Trading of course is the same, and you can even talk about sports trading (I tried it for a while). But even sports trading is still sports betting and gambling, but if done correctly it can be done in a professional level.

As long as there is money involve that you put into risk then that is considered as gambling, even trading we can also consider that as gambling because there is no certain result what is going to happen to your money as you trade.
