I've seen so many this kind of phishing sites in twitter like giving away ethereum or any cryptocurrencies. In order to get reward you just only to sign up their website, but it's a scam, they only want your information or the private keys so be careful guys.

So extra careful before clicking any sites, especially if you are unsure, just like this forum a lot of Phising sites, and in telegram who are sending personal message, so don't dare to click it or else you will lose everything in your computer. My friends has been a victim of this, someone sent link to his telegram via pm, he clicked it then he can no longer access his btt account.

Phishing site is the basic thing to avoid in cryptocurrency because there are many scammers who want your coins.
As long we are very careful to check every time we visit any website, we will not be phished, and always double and triple check the link or url.

It is good for you and others.  We need to be more aware of small things that can have a big impact.  Phishing sites are one of them.  With vigilance, we will be safe and avoid scammers.
Scammers have many ways to get what they want.  I'm used to not joining airdrop and not visiting sites that are usually sent via spam email.

This is essentially for those who are new to the space, that they do not fall prey to cheap scams. The above ad seem to be very popular on facebook, a mimic, requesting you to fill the form and make some deposits to claim your rewards. That's is the scam part. The legit site is https://www.coinmama.com/ and NOT coinmama.com.ru. I am sure those who made deposit will not get anything  out of it as it obviously mimicking another popular site. Just be careful.
Any contrary opinion is welcome for discussion pls.

If you are a newbie in this space, one of the best things you can do is learn to bookmark, just like there are numerous genuine projects out there, there are many scammers too aiming to relieve people of their hard earned cash so we have to always take precautions.
And stop searching for wallets on google because it's known that google also allows these phishing sites to avail their boost ad. Those ads that will come out as result of what you are looking for because of the keyword but if you are not too curious enough of learning what that site is, you can fall as a victim.
Instead of using Google, Duckduckgo will do everything that Google search does. I already froze my google account and protected my privacy. Google advertising sites are not safe and these phishing sites use the Google ads for promotion.

That's why I always bookmark the crypto related important sites on the browser and I never use Google for finding the exchange. Google can be uses for advertising the scam phishing sites and so many people are trapped there easily thanks to Google...

That's right. Your site bookmarks are the first to help you in the fight against crypto phishing sites. I can also recommend the browser extension that called "meta cert", but know that  it has become paid, but effective.

The issue of scam airdrop are getting popular this days. The aspect of making payment for tokens is rather very daft, as most people participating in airdrops are in need of funds. My major fear as regards airdrop is the possibility of installing spywares which are very harmful and gives the hacker access to one's private information.
When the airdrop holder telling you to download their wallet just don't do it I mean it's not worth it and you are probably doing something dangerous for a mere few cents. airdrop is good only if it requires you something simple and not submitting your data to stranger out there. even I'd say that don't join an airdrop if you are really concerned about your own data and privacy.

Just ignore such messages. Nothing is free in this world and if somebody promises free Bitcoin or Ethereum, just leave such guys aside and keep working to achieve your goals. Never answer somebody on Telegram and delete fraud emails.

It is good information. We must be careful when going to join certain airdrop or reward program. As in this case, they use "Coinmama" site fake in order to do phishing and this is totally interesting. If we are not careful enough, we will really consider that it is a very legit airdrop program that must be followed.

Thanks for sharing this though, this is one of the ways these scammers use to lure poeple into their traps especially crypto starters who just joined this industry. Also, i know there are legitimate giveaways out there especially on https://cryptoadventure.org but let's not be greedy as it this is the only way that makes people fall for such cheap schemes.

Everyone knows it, but to avoid phishing website is pretty hard, also for the advanced users.
They are using a fake website with a special spot that you don't even have to see.

To tell you my experienced, last month was a hell for me. I accidentally click referal lnk from a certain user in the gambling site account without thinking how risky to register on that website. One day has passed and my account was hacked. A lesson learned from that experienced. Always set 2fa in all important sites and do not click any websites without checking the real url link.
I see that this is common in the gambling site, I really didn’t know that people gamble a lot, till I started playing one, too, and I find myself checking out different gambling sites to see which of them can bring luck to me, and severally, I have clicked on lots of phishing sites there too and some of them have also tried doing this to me to the extent of trying to hacked my local exchange account.

That shows how bad they are, but luckily for me, I had put so many security measures in place too like that of 2FA factor which has saved me several times, despite the very strong password that I am using, they still tried resetting my password, so I agree with you that this is very necessary, I have it on virtually all my applications that has an option for it, to even most of all my emails, especially Gmail.
