Really?  Why would it be PCIex16.  I get the idea of making it PCIe so using standard motherboards to densely rackmount.  By why PCIex16?  Using a x1 slot would allow more cards per mother board.

Going to hold off for the 400pm announcement,  will be just as believable.   "120 Thash/s only $13000" delivery guaranteed for early 2019.  Be the first to preorder now!

My orders are Pre-April 2012 and I have the ability to transfer 60Gh singles to 600Gh cards and I am NOT doing it.

Let's be clear, 60Gh by the end of Sept (HAHA #1) has the same Hash potential as 600GH at the end of 2013 (HAHA#2)

This is about cutting your loses and discontinuing a relationship with a company so toxic that future writers will document this as the worst company ever to grace the Bitcoin business.

In all honesty, from their standpoint, it's not a bad way to clear some of the disgruntled backlog and avert the rest of the discontent from delayed products a few months.

I'm curious, and apologies for sounding confrontational, but are you high right now ?

This assumes that the world can trust Butterfly Labs to keep their word that they will ship on their stated schedule.

History has clearly shown, repeatedly, that accurate scheduling is not one of Butterfly Labs' favorable qualities.

Even according to BFL's own website, they "don't recommend it". ROFL

How long until the first 20nm pre-announcement?  14nm in 2014 has a nice ring.
(in case anyone doesnt get that, I believe 28nm is the smallest die shrink currently available for ASICS. like any ASIC--they aren't just for bitcoin)

20nm is available today at incredibly high NRE costs and in limited capacities.  14nm will be available in 2014/2015.  Intel is dumping $5B into their new FAB42 plant which will produce nothing but 14nm processors on 300mm wafers. If Intel can do it surely some Bitcoin ASIC company can get enough preorders to build their own fab.  Look at Intel that is where the money is at. Smiley

I don't think a 14nm SHA-2 ASIC is a realistic idea but we went from 110nm to 28nm in the span of a couple months so I just wonder what will be the nice hype to drive in sales.

ECB attacking another country and driving the SP of BTC would probably do it. It did this time round.

I hope a load of suckers cancel their Jalapeno orders.  Brings the huge queue in front of my order a lot shorter. Smiley

i doubt most people that have been thrown under the bus for so long waiting on a $149-274 item would be willing to give bfl another $4k+
