Regarding the new users, they will come and the vaccuum will be filled. You have my word on this.
And, remember, I only brought out the 9mm pea-shooter with BiblePay. You have yet to see the cannon. I'm not revealing the cannon until September. And I'm not bluffing here.
What is our current user level? What is the expected increase? How will this be empirically valued to determine magnitude of success?
When will the new topic be unveiled? What can you tell us about that now? What say will the community have in it or will it be more like PoG and developed then unveiled?
Due to the heavy work load required today, I'm just going to answer this from a high level, but do know, this is not a guess, as I do have empirical evidence from the pool and the money supply for a very close approximation of what will happen with POG in Environment B. (I have electricity costs, server counts, gap fills after we went live, etc).
We currently only have about 80 miners using the biblepay pool (which is a rough estimate of our current active user count). We had approx. 300 when we were bigger. The POG model costs the end user about $10 per month (roughly) as compared to the old model (costing the power user about $150 per month in server depreciation and electricity).
In Environment B - if PODC is retired, at our current low price, we would see an increase from 50~ POG miners to approx. 750 within approx 30-90 days. This is because in crypto, the vacuum will be filled due to the free market economics (IE how easy it is to use POG without any specialized training and with commodity hardware). (I also have a mailing list of 5000 prior biblepay miners I will notify).
The real question is (My question) is the impetus of growth placed on environment B, will it catch on and grow to 5000-10,000 users. Another words my hope is not simply to fill the void and exist, the hope is to actually grow. This would occur as the price appreciates and creates a self fulfilling growth environment with POG. (Price appreciation occurs as the new users buy some BBP and this invites more new users to POG because POG then supports payment for more machines).
Regarding the September statement, it will not be unveiled until after MIP finishes the Dash rebase, the code is deployed and successful in prod, and the market fully apprises its price change; then I will speak about it - and as usual, speak about it as a pre-production change (if its a code change) before its coded. The only time we code something before we speak about it is when we are developing a proof of concept to fill in the blanks to speak about the concept.
