I e-mailed Jimmy Mellado, president of Compassion this morning with a new idea (proof-of-orphan-sponsorship). I went into details about how we could integrate Compassion into BiblePay, using the Compassion API (for multiple uses, one being governance receipt reimbursement, and one being mining).
I'm looking forward to conference calls with Compassions IT team.
Nice! Very curious about this plan.
Will you give us an update on what you and April are doing with PR?
Yeah, sure.
We've been compiling a list of contact-data (e.g. email-address or twitter) of journalists that have written about charity-related crypto-news before (or anything that has the same 'feel' as BiblePay really). This takes a lot of time. I posted a post here and on Reddit to ask anyone to help me compile that list by mailing me related articles they find. Sadly no one has mailed me a single article as of yet, so I feel quite alone in this endeavor. So consider this post an invitation to help me with this.
Anyway April also has via-via access to a database with journalists which we can
hopefully use, and will make this endeavor easier.
I've also updated the website to make it SEC-complaint and added a better Press Kit.
Also, we are looking for someone who can be a charismatic representative for the PR-side of BiblePay (someone journalists can talk to). I've asked the team, but we haven't found anyone as of yet. You can also consider this post a request for anyone who has experience with being interviewed and who knows BiblePay well to contact me
Next, April will show me how to best write a pitch to journalists. Hopefully that will be this weekend. Then, next weekend the first pitch can probably be sent to all journalists on the list. There are different lists actually, depending on the news-outlet (could be charity, investment, Christian, crypto, etc.).
The first pitch will basically be an overview of what we have achieved thus far. Other pitches will depend on key points in our development. If anyone has input on possible pitches, please contact me. Also, maybe we could open a subforum about the pitches, and maybe we could all come together and discuss what pitch should be best when. The idea is to have one news-pitch each month. We basically send the pitch to journalists and give them time to write an article, and then we will push the news from all our social channels.
As far as I'm concerned this specific PR is a community effort btw. As I said before: I don't even like doing PR. The original team has also shrunken a bit today unfortunately. Basically it's just April and me at the moment, so we could use any help.
