Please read this message on biblepay-forum from Rob:
https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=252.0...if our price stays low for 10 more days, and compassion is being voted down, Ill consider starting to terminate the children (knowing about the termination insurance) towards the end of this month, entering a smaller compassion proposal, and putting in payroll. Let's see how the next 10 days goes and how our fast impacts our price and what God's outlook is on this.
Nobody is trying to bankrupt this project (at least nobody that I know of). We are all working very hard at trying to find a way to work with the current market-conditions (which affect the entire crypto-market).
We were working on a six-month buffer for Compassion, which was slowly filling up, but unfortunately the market crashed before the buffer was full.
If nothing changes in terms of price, we will probably need to take a step back (by terminating sponsorships), start small again, and try to have sustainable growth from there.
We are very fortunate that Compassion has a fund that allows children that lose sponsorship to continue receiving help. Once a child is taken in by Compassion, he or she will ALWAYS continue to receive help from Compassion, even though a sponsorship may be terminated by a sponsor. I think that this is really, really heartwarming, and good news for our children.
Concerning PR: our current PR-campaign maybe the cheapest yet. We have contacts in the PR-world that want to help us with their resources because they believe in the people involved in the project. We don't have price-estimates yet, that's why there is no proposal. But while there might not be a proposal yet, please realize that people have been using their own money to give this coin more exposure. For example, I have personally fronted thousands of dollars to get us listed on coinsexchange.io because the New Exchange Fund didn't have the necessary BTC at the time. I wouldn't do that if I didn't believe in this project long-term.
Anyway, we had a conference call yesterday, and we drafted a plan that includes:
1. A large review of our website (making sure we're SEC-compliant, updating our press-kit, and creating extended bios for our team-members).
2. Creating high quality pitches for journalists of different fields (e.g. crypto, technology, investment, charity) about different aspects of our project and big announcements. We distribute these via PR-databases that we have at our disposal.
3. Selecting a capable spokesperson who will be able to get journalists up-to-speed about anything they would like to know.
We are planning to push announcements on a monthly basis (starting ASAP) until december (after which we will evaluate our progress). We're already really busy with this, but please have patience, because this takes some planning and delegating.
Also, I sometimes feel that I'm starting to lose temper with some of the people here. Just an observation.
