south is fine but no volume, but this can be changed during ccex vacation...
only 'problem' which i had with south was delayed deposits/withdrawals - sometimes i must wait few hours

ccex - big volume, but not stable. they have often maintenance, bad support - full tickets queue, but i never had problem with deposot/withdrawal

qiex - no volume, looong withdrawal, last time i must wait ~ 12hr. unknown exchange for me

can we made voting for reusing not requested budget for some exchange fee? i will vote yes. it is better than just burning coins

Biblepay is already trading on southxchange and qiex. It's not like we don't have options if c-cex is on vacation. Did I miss something here?

I never had a single problem with southXchange, and I think that these two exchanges will work fine in the temporary absence of c-cex Smiley But of course, getting listed on a big exchange would most probably increase both liquidity and exposure.

So is southxchange and qiex chopped liver? Why get listed there? Couldn't these other exchanges work while c-cex is unavailable?

Sorry sunk looks like I misread your last post,
I thought you were actually calling SouthXChange and QIEX chopped liver and questioning why we even listed there and then questioning why another exchange wouldnt work, LOL

Just a heads up, you can click the "Quote" link on other posts to help with the conversation flow

I believe the cost to get listed on HitBTC is 20-40 Bitcoin

OUCH ..

Perhaps they would make an exception for humanitarian efforts? lol

They seem to be adding things left and right, and several coins that I would be surprised to see they have that much to spend...

Can't hurt to ask?

Future Exchange wise, The only 2 exchanges that replied back to us and want us are CryptoBridge (1 BTC fee) and CoinExchange.io (2 BTC fee)
and it looks like the budget proposal voting to get listed on CryptoBridge will pass

Sadly most of the other exchanges we contacted have ignored us
and the other big exchanges we have not contacted have really high listing fees that we can't afford

If someone wants to donate 5-40 BTC Ill get us listed on a bigger exchange Wink
Otherwise we have to slowly save up budget funds for getting listed, and/or keep organically growing until the big free listing exchanges like us more

So I have completed what I believe is a "final for now" version of the whitepaper. I've added in a page on PODC and one on security details.

The link to the PDF is still here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xndlt3HWTWUhZKTql3ajPFItuEUaTkJw

I think we should get this moved over to our official website sooner rather than later though. We can always make subsequent changes as necessary.

Awesome!

I am a little confused on the coin allocation,

Is it 38.5% Sanctuary, 38.5% PODC, 3% POW?
or
Is it 38% Sanctuary, 38% PODC, 4% POW?

Ive heard both, but am unsure

Since there are some coins still available from the budget and assuming its not frozen yet,
should we save the rest to continue Jaaps Exchange fee fund?
Should we save for Advertising?
Should we spend more on Charity?

I would love to see as much as possible allocated to getting listed on another exchange since it is obvious CCEX is not reliable.

I think that they are all good causes.

We currently have a bit over 1BTC in our New Exchange Fund (which by all probability is going to be used to get us listed on CryptoBridge):
https://blockchain.info/address/3AojspQgpSSDdPJJANj4UtSBFUZy8YdduT
I would say: you can't have enough BTC in that fund!

Advertising, while a worthwhile goal, I think first needs a good proposal. For instance, I've been looking for a way to organize a nice airdrop, but it's still not a concrete plan. I think that a proposal should be added and voted upon before committing funds to such a 'savings account'.

One of our biggest priorities - I think - is to prepay Compassion for at least six months, and I think that this should be where leftover funds go to until we hit the six month mark.

Of course, growth - in general - means more value, and more value means more money for orphans. So getting listed on exchanges and advertising may bring in more money for the orphans than just spending it directly on them. It's complicated stuff. Still, without a concrete proposal for anything else, I my opinion the excess should go to the orphans until there is a 6-month prepayment. After that, I think there is also something to say for burning any leftover budget (thereby increasing the value of existing coins).

The way I see it is that it would be difficult to really do anything (including paying Compassion, etc.) if there's no liquidity. CCEX is the main exchange right now and is shutting down for (at least) the next 3 months..most likely more.

I fully agree with what you say. It's definitely not a good thing that our current main exchange closes shop for months at a time. If the consensus is that left-over funds should go to the New Exchange Fund (or that we should aim to bring in more than our current aim of about 0.5 BTC per month for the New Exchange Fund) I will adjust the concerning proposals accordingly.

We are ~2.95 days away from Monthly Budget Superblock

getgovernanceinfo >>> "nextsuperblock": 49200,
getinfo >>> "blocks": 48593,

I think historically the proposal list get frozen around this time and we then have a final vote

==

Just a reminder, 20% of all BiblePay (BBP) coins that would have been mined this month, get held back and created all at once to fund passing proposals,
Of the 20%, 10% is designated for Charity, 5% IT, 2.5% PR, 2.5% P2P

This has allowed BiblePay to self fund itself as it grows, requiring no premine.

==

This months budget had 15.375 million BBP and still has ~1.2 million BBP that was not requested for, so these coins will not be created

Here are the proposals on the forum:
http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?board=5.0

And you can view the current proposals on the pool:
https://pool.biblepay.org/

If you are a sanctuary (masternode) owner, remember to vote!

and if you are looking for ways to help BiblePay or ways to gain more BiblePay coins,
you can do work for BiblePay!, and be paid in BiblePay coins!
Anyone can create a work proposal!

In addition to this, Lightsucher has recently updated biblepay-central, and - among other things - it now has a very nice overview of the proposals and budget allocation:

Wow, that surely looks awesome and definitely more professional than many other CPU coin whitepapers.
Nice work, I hope you make a proposal for your efforts. Wink

@Rob: Thanks for quickly investigating the WCG issues and good luck with solving this quickly. As a European I can only apologize for the stupid decisions made in "our" parliament...

Thanks! I actually had a proposal in April that passed, so I'm good on that front. I was just holding off on calling it done in order to make some later updates on PODC (once WCG settled down), and any other feedback we might have gotten in the mean time (wasn't much). I'm happy with it too, and I think it'll be good for us to have around Smiley

For anyone who attached his WCG to byteball to receive some extra "bytes" (thx to 616westwarmoth for the hint): they seem to have the same problem since yesterday^^.
