Last time i read an interview with Thomas Mayer, an ex economist of Deutsche Bank and IMF, and his quote was something like:

"The end of the current monetary system is just one financial crisis away."

However appealing and catchy it may sound, but financial crises don't kill monetary systems

The big markets will eventually survive it after a few years of decline.
I don't see a crash happening, now and in the future.

Thank you Nostradamus for your free predictions. Europe and USA are in a relatively stable condition so I don't see that coming soon, maybe close to 2020. The crisis will most definitely affect the southern hemisphere but many of you don't care about that so you are safe. The US should be fine, Europe (Eastern, Spain, Italy, Greece, etc) may have some problems as usual but that's it.
I would not consider a big crash when the price of bitcoin is decreased for few dollars or more, it should stay stable more than $400

I agree with the OP. Based on all the free money that was pumped in the financial system from the Central banks in these years, the world is now in even more debt that during the financial crisis of 2008.
I'm not sure that the "end" is coming in 2016, but i'm damn sure when it comes, there's going to be a serious storm and changes.

Crash or no crash, the price is very high and everybody had a chance to sell their coins.
If you are too late or hoping.. well then that's your fault.

Most people sold, I am certain of this.

Well, let's face it.

We will see a lot more troll threads here. Either of the price of bitcoin crashing, or the price going to the moon.

I expect a overral rise to 700 dollar. That's it.

What an absolute Knob,  who told you this david icke?Huh? lol.  seriously tho, you put up a loada crap like this with out any referance to why you think it is going to happen like as if you have some special knowledge.  do you even live in the west?  "civil war in the UK"  who would be the opposing sides then?  the UK has its problems ,,, yeah like any country.  But the one thing the British people have shown over the last decades is that when the shit hits the fan we are united, hence the name the United Kingdom

yeah i believe the price off bitcoin will rise this year, how much?  who knows.  You cannot be serious, that the people in the west would want to pack up and move to countries run by despots?  haven't even a response to this one, it is so laughable Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Gone save this thread, cause it will be fun to repost next year and have a laugh........ Grin

No need to save this thread. There are a dozen (or two) such threads already, so no need to wait a year either, lol

Just to let you guys know a big crash is coming in 2016 in the economy. There is going to be a huge financial crisis but it will be worse than 2009.

The bitcoin price will skyrocket to over $10,000. However  bitcoin will be banned in all western countries. If you are reading this living in the west you should make preparations to move to Russia or China they are the only places you will be safe owning bitcoins.

The crisis will be so big it will destroy entire countries and in 2017 there will be a civil war in the USA, UK and western europe. After this the world will never be the same again it will change so much by 2020 it will be unrecognizable compared to today.

Well since bitcoins will be banned and all countries destroying each other I guess you won't need any bitcoins so can you kindly send me all your coins ? I promise I will spend them wisely  Grin

It sounded pretty sick and reasonable until the third paragraph. What source are you basing all this from? Your opinion? If bitcoin rises over $10,000 I guess I buy a lot of them right now. Hope this is true tho.

You have a great fantasy. How on earth do you come up with Bitcoin being banned in all western countries and that we have to move to Russia or China? The Russian and the Chinese governments have proven to be not so Bitcoin friendly........

Wait let me take a look out of my nice little window somewhere in Germany.
Hm looks peaceful, we have a few centimeters of snow (finally YEAH), nothing seems like there will be the end of the world soon.
So in the middle of europe, I can´t see anything near to a war. At the moment there´s a higher risk of dying by eating too old guacamole than to die in a war in germany (or in any other EU-State).

Well, he is right in two points. Bitcoin price will skyrock and the next economic crisis will be much worse than 2009.

But i personally think such a crisis will arise in 2017 or later. Not this year.

And how could Western countries totally forbid Bitcoin?

Doesnt matter if they ban it. I will still use it. Someone cant just ban me from using it...
Probably not. Direct bitoin ban will be impossible to enforce unless whole internet is banned. But they don't need that to destroy bitcoin - it will suffice that government will ban every legal bitcoin related service.
Imagine world without bitcoin exchanges, trading platforms of merchants accepting bitcoin. Bitcoin price would go dramatically down as mass panic of investors and holder will be a reality.

Will not happen!
I know there are chances of a ban or prohibition but that will just show everyone out there how scammy our actual monetary system is.
An don't forget we have individuals in our community who highly invested in Bitcon, are fucking rich in fiat as well and would fight this decisions with groups of lawyers!! This would be so much in media that every idiot would scratch his head and ask himself why these government are so horny to ban Bitcoin or Bitcoin related companies.
The terrorist financing propaganda card and money laundering stories won't work anymore. They've tried it already and it doesn't worked out.

I don not know will Bitcoin skyrocket to 10K and I do not believe it. My only hopes are to stay just, without any big movements!

bitcoin can not remain forever at current price, because of the mining thing, and anyway 430 is a joke because it mean a market cap that is even of a big joke

bitcoin need to grow in price, this is not even an argument, instability is good if it bring pump only, dump are only needed for price correction

but as long as after every new p&d we progress to a new value, i'm fine

I thought we had just established that mining would still be profitable even at current prices after the halving. Except for mass expectation there is no reason that the price must shoot up.

this depend on the diff, if current diff just double or even go 3x then yes, but their margin on profit would be really slim

anything above 3x current diff, and there is no more profit anymore

10k BTC? not this year
Crashing markets? Why? Doomsday? Nothing will happen. Perhaps some stocks will get under pressure due to the reduction of QE. But crashes are neither something to hope for nor very likely for 2016.

Chillax and Happy New Year!
