It will help speed up the adoption of bitcoin because the big merchants is well-known in the field of business and social media. Many well-kown business personalities had already expresses support on bitcoin boosting its popularity and public acceptance. I hope that the same acceptance will also duplicated in my country because there are also a number of merchants who are willing to use bitcoin as a payments.

Good news at the right timing, it should make the market more bullish.
Honestly, I am not familiar with some of the names mentioned in the OP, I only know this " Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market and Starbucks"
These two company are a billion dollar company if I am not mistaken, so it's a good addition.

There is no good information for me instead I see an information that bitcoin be accepted by some merchants more the merchant has many popularity. Because this thing will give an effect to those people who didn't know before bitcoin and he will get interesting to know bitcoin is and for those people who still hesitant to buy bitcoin because they heard lots of negative information again it and finally they will buy bitcoin for at least to be use as payment system. Also, I agree with Kakmakr it will be good if the system of bitcoin cannot changed. Let bitcoin be used as the system has, third party just for money fiat and we need government to deal with.

It is actually not good for Bitcoin when these merchants start to use 3rd party payment processors to accept Bitcoin in their businesses, because they are actually not accepting Bitcoin in reality. This move shows us that there are still problems that needs to be solved, before these companies would be willing to accept Bitcoin directly.

that is only partly bad not all bad.
in the end they are accepting bitcoin payments which means now people who own bitcoin can start spending their bitcoin in a lot more real places in the "offline world" and that helps adoption by a lot. also it gets us one rather big step closer to the mass adoption.
Yes. This is still a stepping stone for bitcoin to be finally accepted by all merchants in the future. Maybe for now only few of the big names of merchants are now accepting bitcoin but hopefully in the next years, more and more big and small merchants are ready to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment.

Now they are all living and starting to buy bitcoin.  Only now it's too late to do it.  It was necessary to buy bitcoin a little earlier.  Then yes, it was possible to see significant changes.  Now there is an option that this jump was not long.

Problems include : Bitcoin price volatility / Complexity of the technology / Regulatory constraints / Lack of supporting point of sale plugins for Bitcoin payments.  Roll Eyes

Barnes & Noble, Baskin Robbins, Bed Bath & Beyond, Caribou Coffee, Crate & Barrel, Express, GameStop, Jamba Juice, Lowe’s, Nordstrom, Office Depot & OfficeMax, Petco, Regal Cinemas, Ulta Beauty and Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market and of course Starbucks

These are actually big and the potential for its price is unprecedented! Imagine if these large establishments start to accept bitcoin as an alternative payment, more volume and transactions would take place. This would further enhance and increase its price on the market giving it more approval and reputation among the public.
Many would regard this news as normal but this is actually a big step towards promoting cryptocurrencies as an acceptable alternative payment.

Major names in merchant industry had been published to accept BTC and because of this many will follow.  This will greatly increase Bitcoin adoption.  Imagine Bitcoin spreading down to retail level, just wow!  Others who are hesitant to adopt Bitcoin will be left behind.

Not only those but you also have Amazon, Microsoft using Blockchain for some Applications and Starbucks.
There are really alot of new investors and new companies willing to use Cryptocurrencies, specially Bitcoin for their payment systems which is a GREAT Welcome to everyone.
That's the main reason why we are seeing the next Bull Run happening so fast. As the news spread fast more and more people start to buy Bitcoin for their shops.

People are gradually understanding the intended purpose for the creation of Bitcoin and how relevant it is to the financial ecosystem. It is a good progress of bitcoin and the entire crypto ecosystem since the world is gradually recognizing the importance of cryptocurrency. I wished other aspect of the financial ecosystem also accepting Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a means for transaction of goods and services.

we are getting there eventually. when merchants and shops see the implementation of crypto payment is successful in those mentioned institutions, they will do the same.
they might be in the pipeline but they need more proofs of its efficiency...

It may be a few for now but very soon, well known companies will start to accept crypto as a payment too! Look at Samsung's galaxy phone where it supports cryptocurrency. In less than 5 years, maybe majority of stores across the globe will be accepting crypto as a mode of payment.

With the big merchants accepting bitcoin, it will help bitcoin to be spread in many places as we know that the big merchants are in many countries.
That will attract more people to hear about bitcoin, and our hope is they can learn about bitcoin.
Besides that, it will start to help bitcoin to reach the mass adoption shortly and we could see more big merchants will accepting bitcoin too.
Until that time, we can enjoy buying their product using bitcoin, and we can introduce bitcoin in public so bitcoin will be known as one of the new payment systems.

This is good news. Kudos to the Winklevoss brothers for helping bring this wonderful development to bitcoin. There are concerns here that it is still a third party but for me, this is good for adoption. The third party app helps mediates the things lacking in bitcoin to become the main payment scheme. That is good enough for me right now.
