You can try to contact binance support how ever have chance to get back your fund, I think this the same like sending coin with different wallet network and hope you can get back your money. But have little process and you need waiting more than one week how to get solve with your fund. Maybe the Binance team will try to help you and patient to see back your fund.

I do not want to be exaggerated but this type of badly unfounded stories are the ones that harm the adoption environment among ordinary citizens, literally with their story anyone is scared and "hulle".

But if you understand what you did, it is your mistake, nobody else's, but it is a story accompanied by truths and lies, I do not judge it, but at least I am not in the US zone, but when I enter through VPN and register US I get a Notice with the warning, which is a positive addition, because if you are a binance user you should know it.

His story would have been of great value if you had told it in a positive way or, better, to have left the frustration and had had a learning contribution, well!! but I think that now we have two things that can be positive for the community, remembering the correct use of the exchange to your country. (2) it is better to tell the stories with the truth and thus  collaborate with their bad experience.

Sent $70 to the old non US account by mistake forgetting they changed to a US only platform. They said they’d give the withdrawal fee back (.0005 BTC or $35)  if I sent funds to another binance address so I created the binance US account, now I can’t even convert the BTC to doge on the new binance US account so I’m creating a kraken account, now if I want to transfer my remaining $35 of BTC that I transferred in they take pretty much all that’s left and I get $7 back in BTC. I’ve been Robbed 90% of what I transferred into Binance, screw that platform!
Meehn you made the mistake at first and when it comes to cryptocurrency, it’s not like banks where you can make the wrong transactions and have someone to blame for it and maybe get your money back, in cryptocurrency any mistake you make, you will have no one to blame for it, rather than yourself. So, I think the problem started with you sending a bitcoin to an address that you’re not supposed to have sent it to in the first place. And as for the fees, I don’t think that’s something they have control over, right now the fees for sending and receiving bitcoin is high, unless you’re using another cryptocurrency that has cheap fees.

I’ve been Robbed 90% of what I transferred into Binance, screw that platform! I’ll never use them again. Going back to Bittrex or Kracken after this experience. I’m so pissed and I still don’t have any DOGE lol. I’m glad it is such a minuscule amount, but still lol.
Maybe I have solution if your assets sending to non Binance US you can sell to the other maybe give them $5 from you all transaction, then from your friend ask them to sent in your binance us, have any different wallet and available deposit if using binance global to binance US? I still do not know if not accepted with other address looks very confused.

I plan to be much more active on BTALK & soak up all there is to learn. If anyone has any good suggestions to any threads for me or how to get more involved on this forum I would love to hear more. I am thankful for this experience, because when I fail I only get better.
That's good for you to learn more about Bitcointalk. Here is my list of what I think could be interesting for you.

Just did a quick check on my watch list. I hope you like it!

I suggest as well to post only once and reply to all. Just insert the quote and reply to them one by one.

Wow this is a great list you've put together for me, I really appreciate that! Love that famous 10k pizza thread, what a crazy thing I hope that pizza was worth it haahha. I will surely take some time to check these out more in depth. Do you know of any particular threads pertaining to NFTs? I am trying to gain more of an understanding on these and how they are created right now. I'd like to see if I can't learn to make them myself with a bit of education. A good friend of mine is on here and he mentioned he's also going to be bringing me more up to speed with utilizing this forum, especially all this fancy coding options which i'm not quite sure of how to use either. I've got a long ways to go, something to look forward to! Knowledge is power and experience is invaluable.

You are not robbed, you have bought yourself a 70$ worth experience Smiley

Cant you just keep these 70 bucks on an exchange? Perhaps, If you don't really care about them and account, try to login by VPN and become a non US user? Will that trick work?

I like the way you think Sir! Yes that is excellent. I just purchased an invaluable bit of experience for $70  Grin That is a nifty thought there, i'm sure there is a way to work around it....

The post explains that you should research before going to buy, it is good that you lost a small amount some may lose a lot because of trying not to miss the opportunity to buy a currency.
Binance.US made too many lost them money that may be avoided if a warning is placed before using the site if you are in the United States.
Why not use SimpleSwap.io or ShapeShift instead of logging in to and withdrawing from central platforms?

Yes, hopefully others will learn from my novice mistake here. Great suggestions! I have heard of ShapeShift and have a Keepkey that remains untouched- maybe I should be looking more into utilizing that because I know they use shapeshift as their platform. I forgot the most important thing here which is that fees are very high on small amounts, better deal with larger amounts and I fully intend to! I'm getting my money right, 2021 is going to be a fantastic year for me and I hope it will be for everyone in here as well!

Agreed, I’m sure they change their TOC almost every day 😂 and hang on, how did they “try” to refund me? They made a claim and that was in the footnotes. We’ll see what they say once they close out the ticket I placed on it. Even if I lose out I’m thankful it was small, next time I will definitely be exchanging with either someone on here or someone else I know though another social outlet.

Let's be fair @tread93  Cheesy
Are you sure you really wanted them to send you back the BTC minus deducting any withdrawal fee?

I have seen worse exchanges that don't even bother letting you get back some of the money and all they do is keep saying that you breached their terms of service.

As far as I know about the Internal transfer (sending bitcoins to another Binance address in order to get the withdrawal fee refund), I am not sure if it also works between Binance.com and Binance.us accounts, but I am more that certain it works between two Binance.com account addresses.

However, the BTC will not be part of your sent BTC, it will remain in your sending account. Check your Binance.com account to see if there is any 0.0005 BTC remaining. If it isn't there, then sorry.

There actually was an option to have the fees be sent back to the receivers address which is what I opted for, but you make a great point of that fact that its a Binance to Binance US address so it may not work for that reason, we'll see. I've not completely been robbed yet LMAO. Half of the coins are still sitting there and I'm still waiting on Binance US to respond to my support ticket- hmmmm maybe I should be placing a secondary ticket with Binance International.  Depending on the result they may be left there on the exchange indefinitely and I'll be cutting my losses here lol.

The first one is your fault for sending it to a non-us account. How can you even forget that? If you are logging into their website and in the US, there would be a warning that you should be using Binance US.

Secondly, if you understood why it has high fees in the first place, you would know that it would take a lot from your deposit. It wouldn't be worth it to transact $70 with a $35 fee. That's not economically friendly.

I can suggest that you convert your remaining funds or your future funds for a good altcoin with low fees. With that, you can transfer with a fraction of a price instead of paying a ridiculous amount of fees that takes up 50% of your deposit.

Exactly.

The title should be "I lost 90% of my deposited coins because of me being careless". This kind of thing, that is blaming your own mistake to others somehow lessen your frustrations because you thought somebody would pamper you, but nobody will do that here. It is clearly OPs fault for not being careful on what he's doing, luckily Binance have a very great customer service to give back the funds to OP, however, it is unconvenient to him because of his own mistake.

I happened to send out my old UTK tokens to a new UTK address that Binance have, and I thought that was a goner already but they sent me back the UTK however I paid 0.001 BTC as their service fee, which is worth it.

Disclaimer: I am not promoting the said website

Thanks for the input! I was careless here. Striving to be better and move along. There actually was an option to have the fee be sent back to the recievers address which is what I opted for but since its a Binance to Binance US address it may not work for that reason, we'll see. I've not completely been robbed yet LMAO. the coins are still sitting there and i'm still waiting on my ticket. They may be left there indefinitely lol.

That’s sound advice, thanks for that and for the roast 😂😂😂 The truth is I’ve only been buying BTC via cash app for the last 2 years and randomly logged into my Binance account after all of those changes.
Not trying to roast you though. I'm just stating facts lol. Anyway, I hope you find the solution to all your problems. It's not bad to use Bittrex too.

Yes, after the fact I realized I should have just posting here asking for the best way to do this exchange for DOGE. It’s whatever, I’d be buying at the high but it seems as if even now it’s a great time to buy in.

Really appreciate all this feedback guys! This was honestly so miniscule, and so in the moment that it shouldn't have ever been posted. One of those things at the end of a hard day that happens where you just reach the tipping point, and this was obviously enough for me to have posted about it. When I posted this I was already frustrated with other things pertaining to my work that are out of my control. When it came to the things I can control I lacked research and proper execution here. Hope this doesn't ruin my image on here. I plan to be much more active on BTALK & soak up all there is to learn. Actually I don't trust your story first of all, why they should give half of your funds or you send $70 to Binance which includes the transaction fee?

They didn't steal money from you, and this is entirely your fault so you paid the cost for it bud.

I can understand that some people may not have the riches of other people, I look at millionaire people and envy them as well, and if one millionaire came up to me and said "just few thousand dollars? what is that man, forget about that money" I would be pissed as well.

This is why I do think that we should help OP instead of trying to humiliate his amount, everyone has the amount they can gather and that is normal. However OP you have to realize, some things cost money in crypto, and that is why smaller amounts get hit higher, when you have 1000 dollars you get charged 20 dollars for something, when you have 30 dollars you get charged 20 all the same, which means these type of things hurt you the most. And when you "forget" about something it will cost you like this, if I forgot it, it would be less than 1% of my portfolio and I would be fine, but when you do , it is 90% of your money so you have to be extra careful.

Exactly! Its just a matter of having some common sense before making out transaction in regards with transfers because fees now are on the rooftop and its just
sensible that you would really be using up altcoins with less fees and fast confirmation rather than on transacting those common coin where it can really
slice up a big on your total amount that tending to transact on and when they lost up money then they do took blame into the platform. lol

I'm not sure how Binance US works because I haven't used it before (Non-US user here). But I'd like to note one thing, if you sent the BTC to another Binance wallet address, then the withdrawal fee would be sent back to the wallet you sent it from. So you have to check it to see if they returned the fee. Also, You should consider converting your BTC to any of the available altcoins just so you can skip paying an enormous amount as tx fee.
