closing my pool i guess cryptonote clones arent pool friendly  Cry Cry

thanks man, I appreciate you trying, and I appreciate you shutting it down. If this keeps happening every night, people mining are going to be furious.

I have no hard feelings, and consider you a new fledgling friend of mine.

Thank you!

hey i want to solo mine this coin with my gpu,how can i do this ?

i think i need .conf file for appdata folder.

read this:
https://bipcoin.org/?page_id=93

Make sure you put a fan on the computers while mining so they don't burn out. With laptops, prop them up with blocks so air gets under and over. With desktops I put an extra fan inside. Pix of both about 3/4 way down this page:

pool forked again ? I'm at 4581 and the daemon  constantly tries to reorganize the last block..

edit:
I stopped daemon and wallet, restarted and now I see daemon at 4580 and my wallet at 4633...I was solo mining, which is the real fork now and if its the 4580 how do I revert back to it ?

I'm not seeing it. Are you using the pool? Restart and solo mine for a while and let me know.

I'm not seeing it. But if this is true, you need to stop using the pool. Are you using the pool? there's some error where he was getting blocks ahead last night, and had to revert this morning.

IF YOU USE THAT POOL, and this happens again YOU WILL NOT GET PAID OUT BECAUSE HE'LL HAVE TO REVERT IN THE MORNING AGAIN.

I just wrote the guy running it,
kdsmith18542
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/kdsmith18542-426551

I hope he's not asleep. This started around this time last night, and he didn't reply for ten hours. Guess he was asleep or away from the computer.

Not quite sure what this post is saying. Can you please elaborate? I know I typed "block exchange" instead of "block explorer" in one place, I was very tired. I've now corrected that.

Now I've napped, feel great, and focused and this post makes no sense.

It's an answer to the block explorer bounty question made a few posts above, made by simply filtering out all the text of the post not pertaining to the block explorer

AH! Thank you! I see that now. I was sleepy. I'm now well rested. Woot!

Is there any bounty for a block explorer? I can help you with it.
any exchange? or will remain a shit fork  Grin

Ill get a friend to call Tristan at Poloniex; he always ads my shitcoins.

Thank you. lol.

We have no block explorer yet though. Isn't that a requirement for Poloniex? We meet all their other criteria, but have only been up for 3 days.

Just put out the Windows GUI wallet today. Block explorer is high on our list of to-dos. But I contacted the CryptoNote block exchange,  http://chainradar.com yesterday, still waiting to hear back. I think they'll add it, them seem to have every CryptoNote-derived coin.

If they don't add BipCoin, we'll make our own block explorer.

already at 2604 block height  Shocked

1/10th of one percent of total coins premined. If you know of a smaller premine, let me know.

Since I was a "smart ass" for saying bitcoin, Potcoin had .005%, and Monero had no pre-mine.

A lot of coins had no premine. But I do conceded that Potcoin wins. I still say that our premine was so small it does not carry the yuck factor that the word "premine" usualy has.

BipCoin SURVIVES ROCKY NIGHT

We received a big start and that is good and bad.  When a coin is new, the hash rate can fluctuate rapidly and cause disruptions.   As the coin grows these dramatic changes in hash rate wont be so dramatic.

For now, we recommend solo mining, and getting your friends to do solo mining. Especially if they have a lot of hashing power, but even if they don't. We will report when we change that recommendation.

Sorry for the uncertainty overnight.  Thank you for your support.

BipCoin continues. And keep your eyes out for a big announcement within 2 hours.
