I got another 8-board stack yesterday.

This one also crashes my raspberry pis! Why does this happen? Does it happen to anybody else? Maybe I shouldn't be using Raspbian?? What installations do other people use?

My other 8-board stack is running off of a linux PC and it never crashes. I'd rather use raspbery pis though to save electricity.

As I mentioned before, I'd tried 2 different pis, with 2 different installations, 2 different versions of raspbian, two different power supplies, two different USB hubs (both powered), both wired and wifi internet, and the pi will still (eventually) freeze up after running for a while.

I have several other miners running off of raspberry pis (raspbian with cgminer) from BFL and they never crash. It's something about this special cgminer maybe or just the hardware? I don't really get it.

Hi,
Referring to order no:1509, upon receiving my 3 bitburner fury boards,1 of the boards does not power up/malfunction. Not any single LEDs are lit. I emailed [email protected] and got replied which direct me to contact burninmining, which has not responded. Please help. Thank you.

Similar situation here. One of my Bitburner Fury boards died shortly after it began hashing. It didn't even last 2 days. Maybe 36 hours. Now it is dead, no lights, no nothing. Just dead.

I left a PM for cryptx, but so far, no response.

I followed up with an email to [email protected], and I await a response.

By the way, I purchased these boards before the price was dropped to 1.5 BTC.

Let's just say I paid almost double that. Last week. I'm not pleased at all.

Cryptx -- I would appreciate a response. Thanks.

I tried other pcie which works for other boards and it did not start up that faulty board. Tried power stacking but nothing happened.

So your other boards work? Have you tried swapping the PCIE leads or power stacking them ?

Just fyi:

4 boards, connected by CANBus:

This firmware from asic-shop.com: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tz9xukd4d75g5uq/BitBurnerFury_for_bootloader.hex

using this:

cgminer --usb 1:7 --disable-gpu --avalon-options 115200:128:10:45:280 --bitburner-voltage 1360 --avalon-cutoff 63 --avalon-fan 80 --avalon-temp 55

HW-Error Rate is: 3.87

might try to tweak further, will keep you posted..

Ok now wait a while.. during the first minutes the HW rate is usually a bit higher...

If you are not getting close to 100Ghs, then try to reduce frequency in steps of 2 to find better settings. I always mine 100'000 shares before I change settings.

Thanks a lot dego!

I need a CAN bus cable, to connect two boards,
Can anyone help me where to get one?
CryptX is out of stock with them.

Id you don't find the Can bus cable, you can try with usb cables.

Ah no, you are still using the wrong voltage command!

you have to use --bitburner-fury-voltage with your firmware

leave the boards connected by CAN bus (not sure if the missing jumpers really matter) and try this line (copy paste!)

--avalon-options 115200:64:10:47:280 --bitburner-fury-voltage 960 --avalon-cutoff 63 --avalon-fan 80 --avalon-temp 55

If that is tha hasrate of 1 board then it's pretty good....

Maybe you could shut it down, deconnect 1 board and try again to see if its only the mini usb connected board...

In the screenshot:

screen sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u joshka.worker2 -p x --avalon-options 115200:64:10:47:280 --bitburner-voltage 960 --avalon-cutoff 63 --avalon-fan 80 --avalon-temp 55

And now:

screen sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u joshka.worker2 -p x --avalon-options 115200:32:10:47:280 --bitburner-voltage 960 --avalon-cutoff 63 --avalon-fan 80 --avalon-temp 55

I put 32 insted 64 because I don't have jumpers, I will terminate the canbus later or I will plugin another usb wire.

With the last command:
