I think we should stay away from XRP (another shady company whose founders dump the tokens every now and then).
We should definitely not be dealing with XRP, a very very shady company basically doing everything in their power to abuse people's pockets as much as they can while keeping their position, they do not want to be 4th or go even lower, but whatever they can do and get away with while being third they do it. So XRP is definitely a scam all under a ruse of a company, that's it and nothing more.
EOS could copy their whitepaper, but the real thing that I hated about them was the funding process and how ownership had too much, I don't know if that is still the case, but if it is, I rather dislike coins where 40% is owned by one team. Ethereum on the other hand didn't had that much of a huge problems, sure the rollback sounds nasty but that's about it, the only one I can give pass to, but if you want to remove that as well, that is fine too.
The casino does not get any additional money by adding these currencies but they know people have different crypto and want to play in them. Having more crypto is just making sure more people can play.
It is decentralized environment hence we alone need to be careful while choosing a coin or supporting a coin. I guess it is our basic responsibility to go with the coins which is fair in all means. When everyone is ignoring such fairness because others are supporting a particular coin then scammers will enjoy all their room.
It is definitely not a good practice just because of everyone is supporting then why not I do not go with a shaddy thing.
Moreover this is the right place to spread such awareness. When more people are conscious against shady things, the future of decentralization will be with more fairness honesty.
