Basically what happened here is a user ended up winning 171 bitcoins on bitcasino.io playing their casino games. The user ended up getting his account locked and contacted the site and was asked for KYC. Casino asking for KYC is a normal practice in the industry, Locking the account while this process is ongoing, not so sure.

Anyways, bitcasino reps responded in the thread and assured the user his case was being looked at. See image below.

Around 30 hours goes by and the user LAngel( the winner of 171 bitcoins) makes a post in his thread stating

"i removed the video and must not comment more on this thread
i have agreed a settlment with bitcasino.io they have agreed to pay 48 bitcoins (4 per week for 12 weeks)
and i confirm i just received my first 4 bitcoins"

I am happy the guy is getting paid some of his money owed, but what I think is a bit odd is he was asked to remove the video and was given 28% of his win. Why not the full amount? Why all the secrecy on the part of the casino?

Speculation was posted about maybe the user was from a country not allowed to gamble. See image below.

This may just be pure speculation, could be true, who knows. Why not post the whole story and disclose the actual deal and reason why an agreement was made vs keeping everyone in the dark?

I'm not calling Bitcasino/sportsbet a scam just yet, but I do feel they owe the community an answer as to the reason why the FULL amount was not paid. I will pm them and make sure they know about this topic.

I don't want to stir up shit and cause the user to not be paid the rest of his money, but I feel this needs to be answered. Should we tolerate casinos not honoring a full payment? No answer will lead me to believe both casinos are an outright scam. I don't mind people sharing opinions here but let's keep it as an actual discussion until we see a reply from the site rep.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/open-discussion-won-171-btc-and-settled-for-48-btc-5260827 I was pointed to another thread on this issue by royse777. I feel that either of our threads could be placed in either section and be justified. A casino's reputation is on the line here and it revolves around gambling discussion. I also feel like more DT members visit the reputation section vs gambling discussion, which was another reason I posted here. Feel free to give his topic a look.
