The wallet, with at least 100 BTC contributed by about 100 Bitcoiners donating 1 BTC each, is the carrot we're going to use to sway the charitable organizations to embed a Bitcoin donation option onto their respective websites. As Bitcoin100 stands now, it's highly unlikely that one person will contribute 100 BTC to any one pool unless they have a special place in their heart for a certain charity. To be clear, once again, chunglam, the whole wallet, the carrot, is needed to help convince a charity to consider Bitcoin as a donation option, and not trying to sway them empty handed with the hope of them saying yes, and by them doing so, we pull a few coins out of the wallet to give them as a thank you. I hope that makes sense. Each time I explain it, I explain it differently, with the hope that others get a handle on what is trying to be accomplished here. If one were inside my mind, they would see that I like turtles.

It's nice to show how fast bitcoin is by being able to send a large amount nearly instantly, for free. We would of course make it clear that this is the money from a hundred people, who all want to donate in bitcoin.

Some thoughts about this wallet, I would suggest once we have convinced a charity we just need to donate a portion of this wallet (10 or 20 BTCs) to kick start the process because charities also need awareness (same as Bitcoin ), 100 BTCs from 100 persons is more valuable than 100 BTCs from one person.

I'm not a writer, no. I do plan on creating an introduction article about Bitcoin for technologically-minded people with a broad interest soon though (actually, it will be for my Bachelor study's periodical). I'll also release it to the forum for other people to read and/or use.

I beg to differ, I now have accounts on (I believe) 6 different exchanges, 3 different pools, and have 3 different clients, and that is not counting the two clients and accounts I have for alternative coins. Tens of bitcents tend to stay behind occasionally

I think Technomage addressed this issue fairly well, dancupid. What is important, though, is that we continue to spotlight those charities that have so gracefully included a Bitcoin donation option on their websites. During the brainstorming period of Biitcoin100, I thought about creating, then maintaining, a list of charitable organizations that have already attached that option to their sites, albeit I've failed to mention it, to date, in any posts on this thread. It is in my notes, so consider this the first mention of this idea. It should prove to be a good talking point once the list is published in the OP rewrite. Another charity that comes to mind is Amani Kinderdorf of which I've personally donated to. Last, but not least, any charities mentioned here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade#Charity. Last, but not least, again, please provide any and all found by mentioning them on this thread so that they can be include on the list that's forthcoming.

Thank you kindly for the link, phelix. It's much appreciated. We need, and will get, at least 30 new supporters to reach the first goal of Bitcoin100 having at least 100 initial pledgers. I figured we'll need no less than 314 supporters to maintain us as we fledge.

Thank you kindly for your pledge, minorman. Remember, you can honor 1 BTC at any time, towards any allocated charity, with or without stating you've done so. It's all based on the honor system, but if you do state that you've honored a pledge, I'll update the list of supporters stating such.

This concludes the housecleaning. Now on to providing feedback pertaining to Regretsy of which has a nice article on its homepage by a guess writer I'd first seen on The Daily Show the other day (one of the few shows I watch, and do so on the computer--been over a year since I've watched a real TV and there's 5 of those SOBs in this house).

Technically, I'm still out of pocket, but have a few seconds to post this thought. There's no problem, what-so-ever, with Bitcoin100 at the bottom of any formal correspondence, as long they, and we, know that it's not Bitcoin100 we're trying to promote, but Bitcoin, and only Bitcoin. Bitcoin100 is just a body of Bitcoiners donating Bitcoin and time toward a common cause: Help spread Bitcoin awareness via the embedding of a Bitcoin donation option onto charitable organization's websites.

Just wanted to be clear on this. That is all.

I'm against this option, and also think it would not garner positive results.

If they accept bitcoins, then we could theoretically do the PR ourselves; posting in the comments and on Reddit and such. However I expect they would probably post about it themselves.
