I too had the same question when I was a newbie.

BTC and Altcoins have an inverted connection. when Bitcoin price rises altcoin price falls down. I think what happens it people sell altcoins and buy bitcion when bitcoin price rices. when bitcoin gets sideway then altcoin price increase rapidly. this is what I experienced in the crypto market in last 2 years.

The market price is based on supply and demand so obviously there are more investors of bitcoins this following days since the market price is slowly increasing again.

Bitcoin price grew a little and became stable, so it's normal for Altcoin price to go down, since most people must have sold their alts to buy bitcoin. The price of bitcoin was in little growth last week. But this week again it goes to down. This price fluctuation normally affects altcoin price also, if bitcoin price falls automatically altcoin price also down. So better you can invest in bitcoin it will be more profit. In future surely the bitcoin price will have huge growth. At that time altcoin price also increase so you have to hold and wait for long time.

I believe that altcoins can actually fail if bitcoins will fail as well because all the altcoins has base price of ethereum which is tether to bitcoins so every coin in the market every time that bitcoins is dumping.

When bitcoin rise and have a bull run basically other altcoins are pumping due of bitcoin pulled out other altcoin prices but today bitcoin had a low price in the market and so other altcoins falls also, But I assume that market will rise again these coming months and I predicted it will occur by the fourth quarter of this year.

Many coins. Are dying now and some have died already because of the dip market and as i believe this continues for another months or years some speculation is the unstable market will be up for until 2020 and the bull will come and starts a run

Resuming of the whole market is impossible but there will be growth for the top coins specially bitcoin and this is for real,so keep the patience and wait for this

Altcoin is a coin favorable for short term investment so we can use it for short term investment in order to get quick profit but it is cleared that the profit will be lesser as compared to other valuable coins. Bitcoin is favorable for long term investment as it is more valuable and its profit id higher than all the other coins as they are lesser valuable than the Bitcoin so the current time is best for investment in the Bitcoin.

Now we can see lots of altcoins disappeared, now thousands and thousands new altcoins were born and they aim to be replacement of Bitcoin and we see they're pump and dump. If they want to be recognized by the world, just show what they can do and what field they aim to make innovation than the others, maybe it's called its own value then the price we can see on the market

It can go back to the up trend. Going up and down or sideway is just the market's sake.
It basically has intervals when it goes all the way down. Some other times it goes all the way up. We just have to wait until it gets to the right interval.

Bitcoin has shown its potential and strength many times in the past and you are right that price movement is its general factor which depends upon its demand. If you all need a high price then why people sell in low market which makes the price do more down so this is totally our of mind.

Price of Bitcoin will only recover when its demand rate increases like it happened in the past. Similarly Altcoin also acts according to its demand so both are good but the Bitcoin is still better than all.
