You seem unsure of the future prospects of cryptocurrency.  The fact is that people can use bitcoin not only on the network, but also in real life.  That is why the situation with the use of bitcoin in physical casinos is quite possible.  I do not exclude that Las Vegas already practices this. Grin

i guess they will be the firsts to have a bitcoin or crypto offline casino. it is more than possible once they work out the reqmts with regulators. it is only a matter of time to have that kind of direct payment inside the casino tables
and i was searching if there are offline casinos that are into crypto already. in some way, they have but you still have to convert it to fiat before playing on the table. so they dont have yet dedicated games that you can directly use crypto

Its good that somehow casinos are putting some effort having Bitcoin ATM at their casino. It's quite nice that casinos today are being knowledgable about cryptocurrency and how their enemies taking them one step up which is online casinos that accept bitcoin.

Thinking that playing on a real casino with bitcoin, as in real bitcoin. It just lost its sense like you are playing with your bitcoins anonymously and you play on a real casino exposing yourself.

I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?
It is possible, could work on the same system that a few online casinos that accept BTC are working on. 0.001BTC=1 chip. Casinos are there to make money, if theres enough public interest, Im sure they will be up for it. Although theres a lot of interest with crypto but I'm not sure there's enough interest for gambling with crypto on a physical casino.
I believe that physical casinos will not even try to switch to cryptocurrency or accept Bitcoin from visitors, because it will not be of a mass nature and they will not be able to expand their circle of customers in this way.  Bitcoin Casino is primarily an online casino where users, while at home, can play gambling without leaving their computer or mobile device, while using cryptocurrency.

Do you know that one day bitcoin will become a main stream currency and we will be using it in physical places like hotels, restaurants and shops. At that time bitcoin will be used in physical casino also.

Not one day but now it has happened where fast food restaurants and coffee shops have started accepting Bitcoin as payment. And not just restaurants, at this time if we want to buy jewelry, we already use bitcoin, even in Zurich, Switzerland, to book 5-star hotels already using bitcoin.

And I am very sure that there are also many offline casinos that use bitcoin as payment.

Well if the casino's dont accept it, just get yourself a bitcoin debit card and just use that in the casino and your problem is also solved.
Nah, I dont think that will work. I think these BTC debit cards work more an an exchange. They take your BTC, convert it into fiat for the casino. You are basically gambling with fiat, not Bitcoin. Which is the point of this question.

If the physical casinos don't accept Bitcoin, then we could use bitcoin debit card to use in casinos? Is it the same (playing with Bitcoin just different method) or actually bitcoin debit card contains other than Bitcoin? Seriously, I don't get this.

But that's unlikely to happen for the reasons stated. However, personally, I have doubts whether we actually need that land casinos started to accept crypto when there is no lack of online ones with which you can gamble your coins away in a relaxed and cozy manner without leaving your armchair and constantly looking back over your shoulder (though you can still safely keep your fingers crossed)

So your point of view is that bitcoin can never be able to become the major currency of the world or rather a one world currency Bitcoin is not possible?

Sad, but that's how things currently stand

Bitcoin is good for online gambling (Dogecoin is even better, for the record) but somehow we don't see plenty of cryptocurrency adoption going among bricks-and-mortar casinos (if there is any at all). That doesn't feel quite right if Bitcoin is to become a universal means of payment and exchange (the major currency of the world or even a one world currency, in your words)

If it were, we would already see many baby steps in that direction here and there with regular casinos as well as elsewhere. But there are virtually none. The point is, Bitcoin cannot become what you want it to be overnight. That would be a gradual process and require a lot of small steps but the only progress we have seen so far is toward more speculation with Bitcoin as a speculative asset (Bakkt and all)

Bitcoin volatility can only be reduced when it is widely spread everywhere and bitcoin is distributed. If few whales hold major portion of the bitcoins, then this manipulation cannot be stopped.
Also we will have a phase when the fiat will completely be replaced by the digital currency and at that time, even the physical casino will be using the crypto. Although this may take a decade or even more to happen.

I still doubt that whales will easily refuse valuable bitcoins, even if they are widely distributed. To refuse is to sell a valuable asset. They are not going to do it.

As a result of this, most ordinary people will have a very small amount of btc and simply will not be able to use it for playing in a casino. It’s like playing with gold coins, it even sounds weird. You rather want to keep them for yourself than to make any bets.

Note that this is only my vision of the future bitcoin will be used for gambling very very rarely. I guess most crypto gamblers disagree with me, but every point of view has a right to be.

Don't be much hypothetical here, we've known bitcoin for so long, we've known its capability but let us not forget that it contain high volatility rate which is more likely the reason why people would easily give up on crypto. There are already establishments that acknowledge cryptocurrency, most of them are well known companies across the globe. I don't think physical casinos would do the same as they are regulated by the government, being that said casinos also have workers to be paid not by means of bitcoin but fiat. We need more time, much time to transition into cashless society.

Bitcoin volatility can only be reduced when it is widely spread everywhere and bitcoin is distributed. If few whales hold major portion of the bitcoins, then this manipulation cannot be stopped

If wishes were horses, beggars might ride

Or it is easier said than done (not plagiarism but a couple of witticisms). To cut a long story short, Bitcoin is good money while fiat is bad money, with the implication being that people prefer to hoard bitcoins and spend dollars (or whatever). Yeah, I know it sounds a little bit like paradox given Bitcoin's extreme volatility but the main premise still stands (good versus bad). What that means is that there is little to no chance for Bitcoin to be evenly distributed, ever, which in turn essentially means volatility is here to stay and we have to live with that

Also we will have a phase when the fiat will completely be replaced by the digital currency and at that time, even the physical casino will be using the crypto. Although this may take a decade or even more to happen

welcome to 2012 , you are kinda almost 10 years late think Satoshidice was if not the pioneers
but one of the first bitcoin gambling sites that were using blockchain and tx fee hash to produce results and pay the winners in bitcoin :
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Satoshi_Dice
since then the industry made huge leaps ahead and the sites like Primedice appeared ( considered to be the fathers of the existing bitcoin dice games )
Just-dice, bustabit and so on and so forth , nowadays literally hundreds of casinos support bitcoin and altcoins as the main or alternative payment methods some of the popular sites you might want to check out are : Bitsler , Bitvest , Stake, Primedice, Bustabit, cryptogames  and many others
Read it carefully, what he meant is offline casino, not the online ones.

To OP, It's okay I guess to use bitcoin to play on offline casinos, I don't really know if it's already happening because in my country gambling is highly prohibited. For the future I think there will be less offline casinos because if people can do it by home why do they need to go to offline casinos?

oh yeah , my bad
somehow the notion of offline bitcoin gambling didn't even cross my mind at the time of reading  Huh
speaking of offline betting with bitcoin technically ,is  as easy as 1-2-3 - you just set a terminal that accepts bitcoins and sell chips for coins
a bitcoin ATM+ a bitcoin accepting cashier and you got yourself an offline casino that accepts bitcoins
the only problem is the regulations , that could be a drag , since you might need an additional license and there are not too many countries that allow gambling and have bitcoin legalized and regulated
in Japan , for example, it is impossible , the only way one can gamble offline here is by playing Pachinko
Just to ask, does getting an offline casino license would be similar out on getting an online one? Pretty sure that they do have somehow differences in regards with requirement
but for those business owners who would prefer on using up online due to accessibility and comfort.People do always prefer on playing online
because only a few clicks required they would already able to play.Legality and crypto adoption is one of the dragging things for someone to built up a casino but
its good to see that there are physical ones would tend out to offer.

I think i saw some projects being attempted, for full crypto based casino, but as far as i know, they all failed. It was back in 2017, during that hype.

While i agree that crypto will be used in the future for sure in physicl casino, i am not sure that we reached that point yet, where casino can be completely crypto based, and accept only cryptocurrencies, no fiat.
For  that we need crypto to be mainstream, and unfortunately we are not there yet, but atleast we have online casinos, you have to start somewhere after all.

For this, it is necessary that the casino accept cryptocurrency as a payment for chips.
I believe that there is no problem

But isn't this exactly the problem?

Just like with merchants not accepting crypto, regular "offline" casinos may not be willing either because they would have to deal with volatility issues. In fact, all such issues can be dealt with in an effective and efficient way (in a technical sense), but that requires extra costs which can easily make the whole thing not worth it (given that they keep their books in whatever the official currency is). And still more so when people willing to stake their coins can easily do that in online casinos (which is totally hassle-free)

Reminds me of a  UK based start-up named Cryptochip that aims to convert cryptocurrency to gambling chips and vice versa, but it seems the project failed probably of a certain reason stated above.  The "hassle"  of using cryptocurrency when one can just use online casino or a fiat when inside a physical gambling casino.

Anyway, I haven't heard any Physical casino here in Philippines that accept Bitcoin, though if there is, I think I'll still use fiat because it is more convenient that way.

There are already tons of casino games that we could play using crypto you only need to know the website.
And there are also some people who use some online games to gamble and have fun for example tongits go and other kinds of apps too

OP asks about real casinos (think Las Vegas here)

For this, it is necessary that the casino accept cryptocurrency as a payment for chips.

Now, nothing prevents you from exchanging chips for dollars, and then buying cryptocurrency

I agree, but this is not what the topic is about
