I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?
There are already tons of casino games that we could play using crypto you only need to know the website.
And there are also some people who use some online games to gamble and have fun for example tongits go and other kinds of apps too.
And I don't really think that people or high roller would be interested on going at a casino just to play with their crypto specially if they could just easily do it anywhere they want.

OP knows that, that is why he said
Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

and there are things that you can't find in the internet casino but you can find in the real casino, what I don't like in real casino's are it is too crowded and you could get a lot of secondhand smoke that could give you a lung cancer, which should cost you more than what you could earn in the casino. It's good to have many currencies you could use on a actual casino's, not all of us have plenty of fiats in the bank.

if that would happen in the near future, I guess they'll provide an area which all of the people who wants to gamble with cryptocurrency would be there.

If you're already going to use Bitcoin, why bother going to a physical casino? Anonymous (somehow), at the comfort of your own home and you don't have to suffer through a haze of cigarette smoke.

I do understand that some might miss the sensory experience of the venue, the placing of chips on the table, the sound of cards shuffling etc... But I think it can get complicated with regulations if they are to allow purchases of chips using bitcoins.

If I want to go to a physical casino, I might just as well use cash. No trail leading to my wallet.
Google also giving me the results of crypto casino sites not the physical casinos so I guess more people with crypto bets going online alone rather than the physical place but having option to play with bitcoin in physical places also will be more fun and we can find these places in malta I guess.

If people prefer to playing gambling by secret, they will choose crypto casino sites because they don't have to go to a physical casino. They can play gambling at their house, and they don't need to tell anyone or their member family. They will stay in their rooms while they can do anything they want.

But with the internet connection everywhere, I think people will try to play online gambling if they feel it can give them a fun thing. Besides that, it will depend on how their government allowing gambling or not. But perhaps, we can try to play bitcoin in the real casino if, in our country, that casino is available for people to play and bet using bitcoin.
But should not one stay away from gambling at the first place and if that is not possible, then playing such a risky rather destructive game with crypto currencies like bitcoin or promising altcoins does not make a whole lot sense. Gambling can be fun but honestly only when you win some money. I am afraid that business owners are not this stupid that they keep on giving money to a big percent of customers regularly.

People will not stay away from gambling if they can play with hiding even if, in their country, gambling was prohibited. They will always come back to the gambling site, and by using many ways, they can continue to playing gambling. Gambling can be fun or not, and it depends on how we treat the gambling itself. If you think you will run out of the money, you need to stop and not continue to gamble. Of course, the gambling owners don't want to share their money with customers, but if the luck is on their customers, they will give that money to them.

It is not as massive as it is in the internet but some of the major casinos in the world happens to accept bitcoin.~

From my research, they accept Bitcoin for almost anything but gambling. Bellow are two quotes, confirming this:

You can't use it to gamble at the D unless something has changed since when I went. When I was there they only allowed it to be used to pay for food at the cafeteria, or the gift shop. I don't know about room charges. ~

In response to guests’ increasing interest in using Bitcoin in Las Vegas, our co owner and CEO, Derek Stevens, said “I’m proud that the D and Golden Gate will be the first casino properties to accept Bitcoin. We’re located in the growing high-tech sector of Downtown Las Vegas, and like all things Downtown, we’re quickly adaptive to new technology.” The one exception is at the casinos, where only US currency is accepted for all gambling.

I've also found some scammy looking ICO promising to exchange crypto for casino chips, and nothing else regarding the matter. So, it is still a question to me, do land based casinos accept Bitcoin for gambling anywhere?

It's not that I would go there, if they accepted BTC, though. Gambling online is much more convenient imo.

In Vegas there were some casinos accepted bitcoin as payment to buy chips but for some reasons I couldn't find them now at google! Due to legality issues I guess.

But when using virtual money then better to go with virtual place where we can be the one to pick what we want no need to force ourselves to play the available games in physical casinos anymore.

This is surely an interesting question. The number of brick and mortat casinos accepting bitcoin as gambling currency is surely really low. More and more bitcoin casinos can be found online. Think this is just a case of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin getting an increase in peoples everyday lives. When it's more accepted generally, then more physical casinos would accept it as well.

If you are interested in bitcoin casinos, Bojoko has listed several licenced online casinos who accept bitcoin:

It is not as massive as it is in the internet but some of the major casinos in the world happens to accept bitcoin.Bitcoin is a digital currency and as such finds most of its use in a digital form.Online casinos are opening up very often and they all have one major thing in common, they use and accepts bitcoin and other crypto currencies for their main operation. This will not change, bitcoin will always prevail in the digital form most of the time in casinos.

Um no, not all of online casinos have this major thing in common,,, in fact I would say that crypto/bitcoin casinos are still the minority when it comes to online gambling. Most of the online betting ads are still all about fiat/bank/credit card or maybe maximum paypal. Bitcoin and crypto casinos of course appear to us all the time because our google catches our search habits.

This is true. iGaming industry is still heavily dominated by "normal" online casinos which are licenced and regulated. Bitcoin casinos don't need this, but the amount of bitcoin casinos is way less than conventional fiat currency online casinos.

It is still early days for cryptocurrencies. People and I mean a lot of people globally don't know anything about cryptos and it hasn't made the break yet to the masses. This is why cryptocurrencies are not used in casinos either or anywhere else. It will remain same before the monetary fiat system changes or collapses or something else drastic happens. Of course bitcoin use will grow, but to be a major payment method in peoples lives will still take a lot of time. In developing countries this development might be more rapid though.

Nah, op didn't mean online casino but physical casinos. Anyway, if ever physical casino will accept crypto I don't think i'll be going. Why would I bother to go outside if just using my mobile phone is enough to sustain my gambling habit, also it's more convenient and it's one of  the purpose of having crypto, for online activity/doing. I also don't want to be a gossip in town that I go to casino.
because most gamblers love the ambiance of live casino's and the people around them, and another way is they can assess the facial expressions of their opponents things that we cannot do thru online
interacting with other gamblers sometimes gives us hints on how to defeat them or others in tables and not just the dealers is what we are focusing
anyway we have our own preservation's specially in gambling that lays our money while playing

Gambling is not that bad if a person does not loses his control and becomes an addict. It is fun during spare times. However, gambling with crypto currencies and in that too, bitcoin does not sound good at all. Risking your most precious asset and big time changer in an unpredictable game like gambling is not encouraged by me. Moreover, I think going to casino does not tell anything about anyone.
Bitcoin isn't worth to be lost just for gambling, just use some of the satoshi you had but not big amounts. Being an addict is uncontrollable, you might tend to end up worst in the end. Have gambling just for past time and no serious commitment, like other individuals making it as sources of income that fails eventually.

I think that it will be worth it if you can convert your bitcoin to another coin so you can use that coin to gamble. You don't have to use a big amount of satoshi in bitcoin, but you can use a big amount of another coin. The addicting person will have difficult to control themselves because they cannot manage their money in gambling. They need to find a way to solve the addiction.

We have a bright future to see bitcoin will be available on the casino, and I think that will no need to wait for a long time. In the country which casino is allowed, they can integrate their payment with crypto so their customer who is familiar with crypto can use crypto too.

I have yet to see a physical casino that accepts bitcoin but in theory it should not be that hard, you could exchange your bitcoin for fiat and then you could receive casino tokens and play with them, then when you are finished if you still have some tokens left you could exchange them for bitcoin, it is not really that complex but I doubt that many casinos would like to do that since they will need to hold some bitcoin and they could lose some money in the process thanks to its volatility
I have not seen one too. Just like the usual process that we do when we gamble through online casino's/dice sites, there should be no complicated process just for the physical ones to adopt it.

The physical casinos has their own processes too which they can modify to adjust for bitcoin. As I've said with my previous post, we're going to that point and they can't avoid the progress and innovation in terms of currency.

On general thoughts, you do really get the point on why Crypto is being created which is for online transactions and easy accessibility but there are still people

who would look up for some service which do involves crypto even if they do need to go or use it physically just like on what we are seeing on some users going out
and using it on some merchants that do accept crypto on their store or service. It just a matter of preference though.
Yes, the benefits of crypto that we feel now give us freedom of transaction and make it more efficient and anonymous. Not many people dare to reveal themselves to the public as gamblers, but with crypto they can hide their identities through online gambling sites.

It'd take ages of moving winnings between game rounds if players would use their personal wallets to play in real life.
So maybe the only way would be to "deposit" your BTC in the casino's entrance and receive the classic casino chips again. So there won't be any difference between using BTC or not... it's up to the casino to accept this kind of alternative payment.
If a casino accepts BTC as a payment for chips, then it must also do the reverse operation of exchanging chips for BTC. And it may turn out that you won at the casino, but because BTC fell during the game, you can get a lower amount than before the game.

We know that bitcoin is volatile but it is not that volatile that it may fall to 100s of dollars within the time span of a game. I would like physical casino to accept btc for the chips but the only hindrance will be the confirmation time. Maybe they can start this experiment with ETH or Doge coin, as it will hardly take few seconds for a doge coin transaction to be confirmed.

There are many casinos especially in Vegas that are now integrating with cyptocurrency payments. This is because they now realize the advantages of crypto over fiat in some aspects. It can also help their customers especially those who hate bringing cash. Casinos uses tokens so I can see that buying those physical tokens with crypto is a good idea.
