I think using bitcoin to bet on the offline casino is not that good. It will delay the process, what if there is network clogged and every time you bet there is transaction fee very hassle or I am thinking the other way?  Grin Maybe we can use it to buy or exchange it for some chips instead?

Very often my friends express their opinion that online video casinos with a real croupier are becoming more and more popular.  Of course, it is good if such a resource provides the opportunity to use cryptocurrency, since at the moment it is the casino that is the place where you can spend cryptocurrency and have fun.  But I would like to see other possibilities when Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be used in physical casinos.  But it seems to me that certain problems can arise with this, since all the regulators that control the gambling business are also governed by certain laws, which means that if the cryptocurrency is not legalized, then we will not see Bitcoin in Las Vegas, for example.

~

Was it Mark Twain who said that there are three kinds of lies?

Namely, lies, damned lies, and statistics. And since the intensity seems to be rising from left to right, we must assume that statistics are the most insidious and treacherous form of lies, even more damned than the most damned of all lies.~

Mark Twain was living in 19th century. Stats back then and today are two different things. Newsmen in 19th century often presented their lies as statistics because there was no way to check the facts. If, living in the 21st century, someone doesn't believe in statistics, he/she is pretty close to flat-Earthers, imo. It's a dangerous way to live, if you ask me. Smiley

The vast majority of Las Vegas visitors are middle-class customers, and although some of them still can be well educated, most of them are definitely not

In fact, I heard that narrative many years ago, that the majority of money comes from simple folks. But that must be an urban legend, myth, or something to that effect

C'mon! You are an economist, and you don't know that the majority of money comes from simple folks? I just can't believe that! I've been admiring your posts here since 2015. It's unbelievable what people can say in attempts of winning an argument. Smiley

Of course I know that questioning my own opinion is always healthy. So, if you have some reliable sources telling that the majority of the visitors of Las Vegas-style casinos are very rich people, or "crème de la crème", as you put it, I'd love to see them.

Considering how casinos are regulated, they might require you to send in the bitcoins through an exchange that adhere to the KYC policy. Can't really complain about anonymity in such case since your identity is pretty much known when you enter the casino, you even have CCTV footage.

Though there might be some hassle of having to send in the money every time you want to play a table or slot so probably the casinos would develop an app where you can send the amount first.

I don't know some place where you can play gambling using bitcoin than playing gambling online through the use of bitcoin. I only see people plays gambling using their bitcoin is just by online gambling and also online casinos etc. I think the reason why people choose this because this is more convenient and hassle free to go on an live casinos. If there is some casinos that uses bitcoin in gambling using live casinos kindly please correct me thanks.
So the best is to not even think about joining any sort of casino because the fact is all these sort of business want is snatching money from common users. Gambling is an addictive game but the side effect is it involves big money in it. You cannot play unless you bet your money. Common sense, we all want money and casino owners have no different desire. They fill their pockets from customers who lose money.

For the time being there's none that we know but I saw someone commented about this before specifically on this thread.

Here you go, I've found it.

In Las Vegas you can find a lot of them:

Quote
Every year we see more establishments accepting bitcoin as a form of payment. But, The D and Golden Gate were the first ones in the area to accept the cryptocurrency. Because of this, we are ahead of the trend and can accept bitcoin for dining, hotel reservations, our gift shops, and at the front desk.

In addition to The D and Golden Gate, the following locations in Las Vegas also accept bitcoin:

Rocket Fizz (has a bitcoin ATM)
Ketchup Burger Bar (has a bitcoin ATM)
Bitcoin is still in its infancy in Las Vegas, and The D and Golden Gate remain on the cutting edge of this technology.

there is no local casino in my city but I know a lot of big casinos that accept cryptocurrencies like 1xbet not just bitcoin but even tron and eth and some other crypto
I checked out 1xbet on Google and it shows its an online gambling site.
OP was actually referring to offline casinos but if the one you are talking about is an offline casino. Then your state must be quite ahead.
I haven't seen offline casino that accepts cryptocurrency in locality yet but if one is established, then its will be a welcomed development.

With support from internet access, people don't have to worry about joining online gambling, and they can use VPN if their country blocked the connection. People now still use the traditional casino, and they still use fiat because the casino was not integrated their payment into bitcoin.
But they must worry with bad platform.
This is online world, at one side you will allow to joining the online casinos. easy access to playing the game, etc.
But at other side, the bad casinos will scamming you and freezing your money, especially if you have big money at your account.

Bitcoin can use in betting in online gambling its use it only for online.
I don't know if some casinos offline are accepting also bitcoin.

Offline bitcoin and crypto has not achieved yet a major acceptance but it is in the starting phases which I think is good.I think that in 2-5 years from now many big offline casinos in different countries of the world will be accepting bitcoin for sure and other cryptos maybe as I am not sure about other cryptos.

I guess so because the existence of online gambling now becomes popular, and people can easily to find and join in the online gambling. With support from internet access, people don't have to worry about joining online gambling, and they can use VPN if their country blocked the connection. People now still use the traditional casino, and they still use fiat because the casino was not integrated their payment into bitcoin.

I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?

Not really surprising, if merchants can add or use it why not casinos, there are many gamblers online that are Bitcoin investors that wants to gamble in casinos and they want to use their Bitcoin to gamble, if they are not yet added I'm sure majority of their gamblers will request to add Bitcoin, gambling operation always evolves and they want mileage and to covert a lot of territories it will be to their advantages if they can add Bitcoin.
But the problem is until now it does not happen,I don’t know what hinders the casino owners to apply this as cryptocurrency is already a big profit area in gambling in our time now,or maybe they are just in the process and only taking small delay to start ups
Bitcoin can use in betting in online gambling its use it only for online.

Lol that has been said for my times above you ,and was not given?were in crypto world and we keep on seeing gambling Signature here ,no need to mention that again

The casino owner said KYC for removing bot user at their casinos.
Probably in this case, the casinos have a big bonus for their user, and the bad guy seeing this as opportunity and use this situation for cheating that casinos.
At another case, its about regulations of the government where that online casino belonged.
Usually i found some gambling sites not allow people from some countries to play in their site. And we know when in our country blocked to play in a certain sites, we use VPN so we still can play in that sites. Maybe that is what that sites want to avoid, people who keep want to play although it is blocked from their countries. If with that reason, i think it is very logic. Because if we as the owner of the site, we wouldn't want problem come to us.

My post about the people who use bitcoin, not everyone who plays at the physical casinos (offline casinos).
Btw, I agree with you about the privacy, I just thinking about online casino with super KYC.
we use bitcoin at the casinos, but we must verify our identity for withdrawing.
^ If they are forcing to implement KYC in an online casino, probably gamblers will go and stay away because usually, gambling did not have KYC especially if using only crypto when in terms of depositing as a fund. Not necessarily to verify our identity when we are going to withdraw in casino they have use if not implemented KYC. Possible if that is a huge amount like thousands of dollars or millions but beyond that, is not necessary to do so.

the possibility that people who bet with bitcoin for a casino I think he must have the confidence and ability to benefit in the casino, people who do not have the skills to bet in the casino would not dare to do that.

Some casinos are actually offering games with crypto. In our country, there are casino players who are into crypto rather than fiat which is an advantage for the growth of crypto in our country. Implementing crypto payment would be better and it attracts most gamblers to invest and choose bitcoin and other altcoins. I believe that the crypto industry will merge with more casinos in the future.
While merging is on the way,yet people are looking for alternative just like online casino that a Bitcoin can be use as support money because sometimes in late hours it happens that we are lack of funds and even credit cards is in max debt so the last option is our crypto assets in which I think advantages also for the gambling operators if they will only look at the probability of bitcoin can grow in just a day but also may fall at same way
