I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?

i think the currency used in casinos or other gambling venues can use a lot of legitimate currencies, but about bitcoin i'm not sure that will be the future of the casino even though bitcoin will be legalized as a currency, because it is the same as other currencies which has uses in financial transactions

I think it is actually possible to have such casinos were one will pay using bitcoin in physical casino, but think about those waiting time due to slow network confirmation

Personally, I don't think it would be an issue

In regular, bricks-and-mortar casinos you don't play with your cash anyway. The point is, if such a casino were to enable cryptocurrency gambling, they would most certainly require you to deposit a few bitcoins before you are even allowed to enter the casino's premises ("proof of wealth"). Well, it is essentially the same process as with online casinos where you are required to top up your balance before you can start playing. So, this is not an issue really

What is an issue, though, is the fact that there is no demand from the gambling public for Bitcoin land-based casinos as this public can easily gamble at home without moving their ass, or exchange their bitcoins to fiat if they wanted to visit a regular casino, Las Vegas style and flair, hookers and all

If you're already going to use Bitcoin, why bother going to a physical casino? Anonymous (somehow), at the comfort of your own home and you don't have to suffer through a haze of cigarette smoke.

I do understand that some might miss the sensory experience of the venue, the placing of chips on the table, the sound of cards shuffling etc... But I think it can get complicated with regulations if they are to allow purchases of chips using bitcoins.

If I want to go to a physical casino, I might just as well use cash. No trail leading to my wallet.

It's happening and I think this will be the future of casino same with bitcoin as the future of currency.
We know, as the adoption increases this crypto gambling industry will grow and that means it will also attract big investors to put their business here.

Who wouldn't want an instant deposit and withdrawal that you just have to pay for a small transaction fee.
In fiat gambling sites, you cannot do that as the minimum to gamble is high, same with the fee.

Meh. I primarily gamble with Bitcoin for anonymity with online casinos so I don't have to submit KYC on any site I want to gamble on, but if I were to be going to a physical casino, I'd much rather just pay using fiat and save my BTC for other purposes (fiat's more convenient in this case), though I must say being able to pay with Bitcoin in a physical casino's an interesting idea and could definitely further crypto and Bitcoin adoption as a whole. Something like the lightning network for Bitcoin could potentially help make things more convenient in regards to confirmation times.

There are hundreds, if not, thousands of websites present that use cryptocurrencies as the main medium/currency in gambling due to its convenience and accessibility to most users especially in this forum. That is also one of the reasons on why there are campaign signatures advertising gambling websites here in the forum for their widespread of existence.

The future of gambling can consider cryptocurrencies as their alternative option for payment but it cannot replace the fiat system. An option cannot entirely replace a currency which is universally accepted around the world especially that the government accepts the utilization and usage of such.
Did you even read what the post says? Or did you just reply looking at the title? The post asks about gambling with bitcoin offline in real life physical casino, not online casinos like crypto-games.net. Please read what a post says before randomly saying stuffs.

Spending bitcoin in casinos, well it is a great idea. But hey look at the payments with the use of bitcoin, it was clearly just an idea from the past. But now, it has came to reality. I hope that this could be come to reality too, so that there could be another asset these gamblers could have.

It is somehow could get beneficial to gamblers since sometimes, there could be some form of robbery once a gambler goes out with a lot of money. Now, they only need to save it to their btc wallet.

It's not that rare for a normal casino to be accepting bitcoins. In Las Vegas you can find a lot of them:

Quote
Every year we see more establishments accepting bitcoin as a form of payment. But, The D and Golden Gate were the first ones in the area to accept the cryptocurrency. Because of this, we are ahead of the trend and can accept bitcoin for dining, hotel reservations, our gift shops, and at the front desk.

In addition to The D and Golden Gate, the following locations in Las Vegas also accept bitcoin:

Rocket Fizz (has a bitcoin ATM)
Ketchup Burger Bar (has a bitcoin ATM)
Bitcoin is still in its infancy in Las Vegas, and The D and Golden Gate remain on the cutting edge of this technology.

https://www.theverge.com/2014/1/21/5331758/bitcoin-now-accepted-at-two-las-vegas-casino-hotels

In my area there's not many casinos and it's even harder to find one that accepts bitcoin but it's not uncommon around the world.

I think it is possible to exchange bitcoins for chips of different denominations, as in the case of currency exchange for chips. At the entrance to the casino player gives away his bitcoins and gets chips. If the player wants to leave the casino, he gives away the chips and gets the bitcoins on his wallet. I don't see anything difficult to implement. The only problem may be that the player has to wait for the first confirmation of the transaction and then leave the casino.
I also think that same way and I imagine that. Yes, it's possible because their’s a lot of cryptos gambling or online gambling that used cryptos as a currency. But what if some regular casino does it either, that they will accept fiat money and cryptocurrency exchange for chips. It will be a new whole level of cryptocurrency adaption. But I think some online gambler doesn't want to show their face in public or refusing some regulations of casinos, especially when it comes to KYC. Also, I think that another problem is the exchange rate; we know that cryptos value fluctuates too much. Smiley
We do all have different opinions regarding to that matter, but in reality if a physical casino house started to introduce such service allowing Bitcoin to be converted into chip and vice versa, the first business established casino to provide this, will benefits a lot from Bitcoin holders who  loves to gamble. Both heavy gamers and those who just wanted to relax and enjoy the physical atmosphere of casino house will be there to play.

I still cannot name even a single casino here in my country that accepts Bitcoin. In my personal estimate, it might take long years before licensed physical casinos here would start accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos for gambling. However, online casinos that are accepting Bitcoin and several other alternate cryptocurrencies are fast becoming the trend nowadays with the growing number of crypto gamblers. That is where most techy and younger gamblers do their thing, and with crypto.

It is possible, could work on the same system that a few online casinos that accept BTC are working on. 0.001BTC=1 chip. Casinos are there to make money, if theres enough public interest, Im sure they will be up for it. Although theres a lot of interest with crypto but I'm not sure there's enough interest for gambling with crypto on a physical casino.
I believe that physical casinos will not even try to switch to cryptocurrency or accept Bitcoin from visitors, because it will not be of a mass nature and they will not be able to expand their circle of customers in this way.  Bitcoin Casino is primarily an online casino where users, while at home, can play gambling without leaving their computer or mobile device, while using cryptocurrency.
You seem unsure of the future prospects of cryptocurrency.  The fact is that people can use bitcoin not only on the network, but also in real life.  That is why the situation with the use of bitcoin in physical casinos is quite possible.  I do not exclude that Las Vegas already practices this. Grin

i guess they will be the firsts to have a bitcoin or crypto offline casino. it is more than possible once they work out the reqmts with regulators. it is only a matter of time to have that kind of direct payment inside the casino tables
and i was searching if there are offline casinos that are into crypto already. in some way, they have but you still have to convert it to fiat before playing on the table. so they dont have yet dedicated games that you can directly use crypto

https://www.gamblingsites.com/blog/vegas-casinos-accept-bitcoin-64554/
I believe that only illegal resources, without official registration, can directly use cryptocurrency for gambling.  One way or another, in certain countries there are strict laws and regulations that govern the operation of casinos, including online casinos.  Until the cryptocurrency is legalized in a particular country, no casino can use the cryptocurrency legally.

It'd take ages of moving winnings between game rounds if players would use their personal wallets to play in real life.
So maybe the only way would be to "deposit" your BTC in the casino's entrance and receive the classic casino chips again. So there won't be any difference between using BTC or not... it's up to the casino to accept this kind of alternative payment.
If a casino accepts BTC as a payment for chips, then it must also do the reverse operation of exchanging chips for BTC. And it may turn out that you won at the casino, but because BTC fell during the game, you can get a lower amount than before the game.

That will depend on the gambler. If he can accept that, then he will be no problem to get a lower amount. But if it's not, then he will choose one of that. And maybe a gambler will need to have another wallet to save his bitcoin or to play gambling, so he doesn't have to move into another wallet.

The casino will have open a new service as the exchange for the gambler, so every time the gambler play, they need to exchange their money first with the casino payment. Or if the casino use bitcoin, the gambler doesn't have to exchange.

It's impossible to happen in real casino since they all used a chips/token on their machine and etc wherein to able to gamble. But for me probably  there's a possibility that only cashier accepting bitcoin instead of the dollar ,because you know bitcoin nowadays are acceptable in different ways even in some fast food.  So in my view probably there's a possibility they convert bitcoin into chipz or token as well for all players who want to play using bitcoin on their casino.

Since you state that one can pay for chips or tokens with Bitcoin or fiat currencies, the impossiblity there is been erased.
So therefore, betting offline with Bitcoin is very much possible and can be practised in any offline casinos, cause its more like paying with it like the other currency.
The one thing that any casino owner, who wants to implement the use of BTC in his casino should look out for is if Bitcoin is legal in the country where is is sited. And also obeying all regulations abiding with it to avoid sanctions.

That's right, buying chips in the casino through Bitcoin using online transaction is possible. So if the casino will implement this kind of payment, then betting with Bitcoin through traditional casino could be a reality. The question is, does the casinos will take this gamble of having a volatile means of selling their chips?
Actually its already happening where Las vegas casinos do accept Bitcoin as been part of their payment system but sadly you can directly use up bitcoin but still a good adoption though.

About on casinos measure towards the volatility of crypto then who knows but for sure they are pretty aware with that.
Las Vegas might be having bitcoin acceptance on the casinos, because in casinos we pay and get chips. Further we use these tokens to play. This is simply a possible thing for the gambling industry, but similar way of usage isn't possible with other physical forms of betting like sports events.
Everyday more and more innovation is found on every industry, so if there is a plan surely it can be executed. As in the quote volatility will be considered big before the initial step taken for such an acceptance into casinos.

Truth be told, I've never been to a real casino

Really mate?if it’s Ok may I know how older you?because if you’re teen or below 18 then I can consider that you are not allowed in a real casino 😂😂.or not unless you are living in places that gambling is prohibited so there’s no chance that you can enter because there is no existing

But if those I mentioned wasn’t indeed then there’s something unique here ,being a man/woman at the right age that don’t ever enter a real casino

To the topic?i wish there will be one in my country so I don’t need to bring fiats every time I need to gamble because my mobile is enough to sustain my betting needs

In the near future, I think they will adapt bitcoin and other cryptocurrency since the industry is continually expanding. In LA, there are already casinos that have integrated bitcoin and became quite a popular trend with the casinos near that one. I do hope that their numbers will increase further and not just casinos, even hotels are starting to accept cryptocurrencies too.

It's not yet happening in real life casino right now but there are so many online casino accepting bitcoin. In my opinion it's possible for casino to accept bitcoin in the future maybe in the next 3-5 years, once bitcoin become mainstream and used by all companies, i'm sure casino will accept it too.
And I believe at this time many gambler casino out there who play casino through their own credit card, it is not the time to take a lot of money in our purse. Most people right now will use to buy everything through their phone or use their credit card because it is very easy to use compared to take a purse. Yeah, sooner or later when people know bitcoin and they are not believe that bitcoin is not dangerous tool, they will use it or use some altcoin who have high anonymity such as monero.

Moreover, for those who knows the casino online which many popping up so far then bitcoin is the most currency who will be use by most gambler. Even, online casino will be an alternative way for them to choose and they will pay it at anytime and wherever they are. It could be the utilization of cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin will be more used as gambling tool be compared to be use as payment system or as trading tool.
