For me they only think that bitcoin cannot be a global currency because government don't want it and they didn't want it to be legalized. Actually bitcoin is the main enemy of government now so they will not let that happen.
Global currency is very much different from the digital currency that's why it cannot be a global currency. And as far as currency is concerned different countries have different currencies and there is none above all the currencies is used as one currency by all the countries.
