According to some information published in online newspapers, you can pay most of the costs in this country. Now that the Philippines has installed the first Bitcoin ATM in this country, you can convert Bitcoin into pesos and vice versa. The Philippines is a great country, and this is where we should travel in the future.

Yes, with this exchange wallet if you have Bitcoin to use for travelling in our country you don't need to bother going to banks changing your money or fiat into PHP. Instead, you can just send some BTC to your coins.ph wallet and cash it out on banks and money pickups. It is easier here if most of the tourist spots are accepting Bitcoin, that will be more efficient to tourists that want to spend their BTCs.

Not only that, there are 7-11 kiosk around wherein you can buy bitcoin. But I would agree that if tourist spots started to accept bitcoin, I'm sure it will be more convenient for most tourist. I'm not sure how much is adoption in the country except for coins.ph as major exchanges in the Philippines.

But I wouldn't use Bitcoin to pay for anything that fiat can pay with unless it's very necessary, if I were you. Bitcoin is a provably scarce resource, don't waste it. HODL. Cool
You are right but not all bitcoin holders have enough fiat so if their income is coming from bitcoin and it goes directly to their coins.ph wallet they don’t have much choice but to distribute their bitcoin to their daily responsibilities if possible. You know, some of them depend on Bitcoin and do not really hodl like other investors do but, still good for them they can use their them for their daily expenses.

This is not a new thing. Coins.ph was already operating since 2014 in the Philippines and I heard that it was the number one and mostly used bitcoin wallet application in that area. There are some features such paying your bills, buying mobile load, sending money to a remittance center and cashing out and cashing in your bitcoins. But even it is through this activities are being used by crypto enthusiasts and not being used by many. Stores does not accept bitcoin payments and only online merchants are accepting. Cryptocurrency is very young in the Philippines and it is thanks to coins.ph that the use of bitcoin become convenient.

well, that's a very good start of using and accepting payments in bitcoin. This type of behavior is very important for the whole world to see. The Philippines will become a great example for others that bitcoin can be used in the exchange of real money as if it has the same value as money. I wish my country also have some number of merchants who accept cryptocurrency payments. but all we have is like 10-12 merchants all total. that's extremely low when we are trying to change the whole country.

That's a great step towards adoption of BTC. This helps in taking BTC to every household. People will know about it and hence, some percentage will even come in cryptos. Bitcoin needs use cases for the future growth and such steps are highly appreciated. Where countries are banning the use of BTC, Phillipines is making an appreciable impact.
It's not as great as you think. A YouTuber has experienced the challenge of using Bitcoin to pay off the costs in 24 in Philippines. But he has encountered a lot of difficulties because if you travel by taxi you cannot use Bitcoin to pay. Some other services are also unable to use it, Bitcoin-accepting services are very limited in this country.
Well of course we couldn't pay everything with Bitcoin yet ,
But we could always find a way to use it if you really want to ride a taxi and pay online you could use Grab .
Top up your Grab account using Coins there is always a way you just need to figure out something.

Here in the Philippines we could use our local wallet called coins.ph to buy load pay for our electric, water and credit card bills and even book for travel.

I hope this will happen also in the whole asian nation because philippines is more luckier than any other country in asia for having a government in which neutral to cryptocurrency and bitcoin can be bought and accumulate in many areas, with ATMs installed in strategic locations, with wallets in local forms that can convert fiat to crypto and crypto to fiat.and some stores that can buy also bitcoin one of luckiest
You are right, we hope that this will happen not only to whole asia continent but also for the whole world because having these kind of features for using bitcoin is an awesome thing to have. Just imagine having this for the whole world then that would be awesome because the whole world can start being cashless because of this features.

If I where you, I will not use my bitcoins in paying load, bills and travel tickets because having bitcoin is a rare case so if you just used it to just paying water bills or some load it will useless. But other coins or some coins you can use it to pay load or bills but you need to exchange it first in darb so that you can pay your coins on your e wallet, just like coins.ph,gcash, paymaya etc.
And also the price of btc is starting to go up, so better HODL it till you see the moon. As long as the government are allowing this platforms to be use as one of the tool for convenient transactions like paying bill, the crypto currencies and use of it shall gain popularity and leads to acceptance by the general public.

It is good to know that a lot of countries are starting to be aware of crytocurrency. Using coins.ph in our country is really convenient. We get rebates and discounts too if we use the web wallet to pay bills nd utilities.

that's a good thing, even though it's common in some countries
but I prefer to hold it for the long term rather than using it for bills and such

Since bitcoin is a form of electronic cash where you can use in different transactions. It is a good opportunity that we can use it in a form of itself without converting into peso with a possibility that its price cannot be lessen by some point, if it could be possible. Furthermore, in btc you can earn also by means of different ways you can browse it in the internet for more details.

I’m with you in this OP. I’m also from the Philippines and sometimes I also use bitcoin to pay for some bills when I’m short on fiat. I’m using coins.ph for my Philippines account and I’m using Bittreo for my international transfers.
Not many exchange sites provide that service that can pay bills, load and for travel with cryptocurrency. I think it's very good for crypto users. In my country, the exchange site is just a trading place, to pay for these fees, we can only use third party services.
Same is the case with my country.
Mot much adoption and not much awareness.
A few excagnegs and p2p sites which is basically used for trading. There isn't a proper mechanism to pay through btc or cryptos. Not many third party apps are available too.

Well, it is really great having these exchange wallets in our country. We can even transact our BTC to our saving account in banks here in our country though the banks will receive it as a fiat and not a BTC but it is fine since it is free of charge. No fees being paid to them. The only fee I know in coins.ph is converting BTC to PHP and other things like load and buying money for steam wallet and other gaming platforms. Some money pickups also require fees.
