No USA on the list?

no, not yet, unfortunately. The card can be used in the US though, no problem with that

see i dont understand that what makes anx cards different that all the competition, they are in hong kong and they will ship the cards to people in the usa, i wish this card would be in the usa as well Cry

Not open for people in the US but it can be used in the US that did make me chuckle, do we know how much charges to expect with these debit cards because chances are they are going to be stupidly high and that will shy me away from getting one i really dislike high fee's when there really is no need for them. Do we need debit cards anyway? Only a matter of time and enough places will accept bitcoin payments. If i am right a lot of us will not be cashing out at a atm because this is an investment like stocks, we have paper debt money to cash out at atm.

Why debit card ? why not atm accept that you pass you phone to check payment or create a specific address for each payment .
Like what we do now you can buy coffee just by passing your phone on an hardware and accept to pay  .

i actually dont use that phone tap pay service has always made me worried to be honest

this would be Perfect but does it works?

It certainly does. Take a look through this thread and/or order the card.

E-Cards are shipped to 173 countries. We aim to deliver cards as quickly as possible. However, the eventual delivery times depend on local postal service. Customers in the UK receive cards within three business days, for EU residents it takes a few days longer, Australian/Canadian/Brazilian/African customers should allow 10 to 15 days for delivery of E-Cards.

Sure, the reason for that is that we currently have 3 official and 1 unofficial exchange rates for our currency (and very strict currency controls and limitations in place), which makes inflation skyrocket, as we only have "access" to the worst exchange rate (black market). So, we keep looking for alternatives to safeguard our income, one of which is bitcoin (and fiat currency in general, other than our own.)

I can further explain this in detail if needed; suffice to say that a card such as this one would be highly welcome.

Not sure how you think a visa card is going to alleviate these problems. The card is denominated in US$, and each time you make a local purchase or withdraw money at an ATM, its the official exchange rate that will be applied. Im fairly sure you wont be able to withdraw US$ at an ATM there, nor can you make payments in $, it will all be in Bolivares at the official exchange rate.

A card like this might be handy if you want to make (internet) purchases abroad, but I suppose you'll have import taxes that make that about as pointless? or am I missing something ?
That's basically the point: Venezuelans get an allowance (what we call a "cupo") of $3000 a year to be spent on trips and/or internet purchases. If you want to buy something through eBay, Amazon, etc., you get a maximum of $300 out of those $3000. However, that's only if you didn't decide to spend it all on a trip or if it's not enough (as is the case when purchasing something over $300 through the internet) in which case, you're then forced to buy other people's allowances at the black market's (now sort of legal) exchange rate. So, it's much better to purchase, for example a laptop at $500 with 2 "cupos" at VEF 12/$ (official exchange rate), than to buy it locally at more than VEF 190/$ (black market).

So, a card like this one is -provided you can buy bitcoins in Bolivares or mine them, like I do- a way to avoid or alleviate all that.

wow that was some reading there but i understand what you are saying, now i am sure this is only for people who dont have verified accounts, like all electronic payment methods even paypal they have a certain limit till you are verified. I am sure that is the case on here atleast i hope so

Hi, I'm interested in testing/getting the card, but I live in a country which is not on the list (Venezuela). Any idea why not and if it'll be solved anytime soon?

Thanks.

Also, about the site, I was trying to register and didn't get the account activation e-mail, even when clicking on the "Lost code" link. Is registration locked, by any chance?

Shouldn't be the case. Please, write to [email protected] if you keep experiencing the issue
