Been 12 days now and I still haven't received my card within Europe. I guess it could be my lousy postal service ;/

that is strange - Europe is normally quite fast.
Which country in Europe?

Seems interessting , do you guys ship only to Europe ??
Almost everywhere apart from US, India and countries on sanction list. We posted exact list of countries in this topic

You know, I debt card for Bitcoin makes a lot more sense than a debt card for fiat currency. Simply because you can't put Bitcoin in your pocket!

Where are you based? It usually takes about a week within Europe,  might be local postal service issue

sorry but if you store fiat on the card than calling it a bitcoin card is false advertising.

it's the same as selling bitcoins on an exchange and withdrawing to a bank where you have a debit card.
It's instant in our case

when can we expect euro cards to go live? and if i was to use a $ card in the EU, what sort of charges can i expect aside from the normal 2% deposit fee? also, is there a withdraw fee if i want to remove bitcoins from the card?

thanks.

We expect euro and GB pound cards to be available in a month.
If you pay by your usd card in euros (or any other currency) the standard conversion fee (usd to euro) of 3% applies. As per ATM withdrawals the fee is 2.75euro/3.50usd per withdrawal.

Hope it helps.

Hi there,
I am on my way to order one of your USD debit card. I am already using the Xapo one. Do you have any ETA for the Multiple currency one. This is the one I would prefer as I am based in Switzerland

we are planning to start shipping multi-currency cards in a couple of months

cool. what sort of security is being put into practice to prevent theft of bitcoins?

at the moment we've got

  • Two Factor Authentication
  • SSL
  • Cold Storage
  • Timeout for idle sessions

also we are planning to start using multi-signature client wallets to improve our security even further

lol all this sounds great in practice and all and some of the points you made do have valid merrits behind them, but trust me if the pre load concept is going to be crap like the ANX Premium mastercard i have then it will be a pain in the ass to wait 36 hours minimal if you deposit bitcoin during middle of week with no holidays  Lips sealed

BTC -> CARD transfer is instant.
just out of curiosity: does it really take that long to load anx card?

loading the card literally takes seconds (from deposited bitcoins).

ok thanks am i able to pre-order a EUR card? Smiley 3 actually. one for me and 2 other people i know want one.

You are welcome.
We suggest to create an account and we let you know when EUR cards are available to order.
Unfortunately, you can't order three EUR cards per account, only three in different currencies (EUR/USD/GBP).

ok, and do the cards convert to FIAT when bitcoins are sent to the card or when a transactions is done using the card?

currently we convert bitcoins to FIAT when you send them to the card, it also might be very useful when you want to lock bitcoin price (e.g. if price of bitcoin goes down) - all you need to do is to transfer bitcoin to your card and then, if you want, you can transfer FIAT back to bitcoins (e.g. if price goes up).
Note: card ->bitcoins transfer is coming soon

Registered my card on mychoice website without problem. On hindsight there probably was no need for this, but I did notice you could fund the card through a bank transfer, which some people may find useful.  I guess it also proves that the card is indeed backed my mychoice in case there was any doubt about that.

To get the card pin I had to call them anyway (the 6 digit transaction pin you create on the website is NOT the card pin), so I did, and obtained the 4 digit pin code which let me withdraw from a local ATM, no problems.

Thats its a dollar card instead of a euro card is currently also probably to my advantage Wink.

now that you mention that, i think il get both a dollar card and a euro card lol
