Exactly this idea will work if the transaction fees will get lower, I and all other bitcoins users can't afford to pay high transactions fee for small payments like taxi service. May be if the taxi service provider can provide a wayout through which user's fare can be adjust with his/her paid transaction fee or something like that then it is possible.

It is one of the best ideas and it can be implement if the bitcoin fees are bit low so that everyone will use it for daily transaction and if this thing is introduced for taxi, the drivers will be in the richer side. So transaction fees should be reduced then implement this to all payment system then there will be no need of carrying cash,

No doubt it will be the step towards a new future facility, but as you mentioned that the developers must make the transaction easy, comfortable, transparent and secure. So that the payments will be in time and without any obstacles and hurdles.

yes for now it may not be able because of too high fee, but he was wondering if that happened would be a good thing, maybe for now only able for a fairly expensive transportation like a private jet or yacht.

actually bitcoin transactions could be fast but it need more fee to make transactions faster. but consequently the fee on once transaction is so high. i agree that it does not fit to pay with bitcoin with this condition.
i hope bitcoin developers can fix this case and make transactions of bitcoin faster and cheaper than nowadays. taxi fare include as small transaction.

yes for now it may not be able because of too high fee, but he was wondering if that happened would be a good thing, maybe for now only able for a fairly expensive transportation like a private jet or yacht.

That is not a new story. There is already a post in this forum pertaining to a taxi company accepting bitcoin as fees for the fare. The poster was named Xester and his post tackles about a big taxi company in Italy and Rome that accepts bitcoin payments. But we have no more updates to that and I guess it is still the only taxi company in the world that accepts bitcoin as a fare. But it would be better if those services will be extended not only in Rome and Italy but rather on other countries as well. If it happens we can expect a huge spike in bitcoins value if it will happen in a mass adoption across the globe.

I was on business trip in Rome a few days ago and I looked for those 3570.it italian white taxis that supposedly accept bitcoin.
I booked a ride and asked the taxi driver about bitcoin while going to my hotel. Do you know what? HE did not know anything about it!
I had to instruct him about what his company is (maybe) doing. At the end of the ride I couldn't pay with btc but I had to pay him with old fashinoed fiat money.

Yeah i agree, because you know what, that easy i think, just need a smartphone, yeah of course the Taxi Driver must have a smartphone,,in other thing the country must accepted Bitcoin and legal for sure. but till now I never heard about Taxi accept Bitcoin as payment

Yes, it would be great not only to pay taxi, it would be great if we could pay everything with bitcoins.
It can be possible only with small fees and if taxi drivers won't force you to wait 1-2-3 confirmations for drive.

In my own opinion, it would be really great if we could use our bitcoin as a payment to take a ride in taxi's because if you dont have enough money in your wallet you could pay the taxi driver using your bitcoin without any problems and i hope in the near not only taxis will accept bitcoin but every stores .

yes im agree with you i have think like your idea too, i want to pay taxi with bitcoin, i think its great for bitcoin future if taxi in my country accepting bitcoin as they payment, maybe if restaurant and hotels accept bitcoin is the best idea.. we just need our smartphone and internet access to pay the bill in the second

I don't think it will work. You could take an hour long ride in a taxi and the price could fluctuate by $200 or so. Bitcoin is too volatile for small scale payments right now.

PITCH – THE FUTURE OF OPPORTUNITY

I agree that bitcoin is a great conduit for money transfers and payments but right now with fees too high, I think it is not suitable for small payments like taxi fare. If that issue is solved then I'm all for 100% for bitcoin as payment not only in taxi fares but even for general merchandise purchase.
