Both are just an altcoin for Bitcoin and from what I see it,  Bitcoin Gold will have the same fate as Bitcoin Cash. As soon as people get what they want they will dump it and get the free money they are after.  So yeah, Bitcoin Gold will just be another alt like Bitcoin Cash.
How many of the we will have in a few years? I know how people thinking, what if this coin BTC is wrong one, what if everybody switch to Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin gold?
This is why those forks are bad for BTC and its investors. How this situation can be good for adoption?
Yes, maybe a lot of people say Bitcoin Cash is Fail. However, that assumption changed when Bitcoin Cash touched a fairly high price a few months ago. So do not conclude that Bitcoin Gold is a Fail. We'll see what happens.
This doesn't change fact that those are forks with less support, and those new coins are actually new altcoins nothing more. For altcoins it is perfectly normal to be manipulated - PnD.

bitcoin gold will get dumped hard because of the premine. they claim to decentralize it however they charge money to develop it themselves which is centralization.

At first I thought it would be a little better than bitcoin cash, because it actually created an alt with different characteristics, in their case, being ASIC resistant. Not saying this is good or bad, just saying they are offering something that could be of interest to some people.

The problem is, that I then saw bitcore (BTX), that offers the same thing, and is actually better in some other aspects like allowing a much bigger number transactions per second. They actually offer a bit of everything like bigger blocks for those who want that now, are ASIC resistant if you think that's important, and have a decent Tps, and this last one is of course important because of the scalability problem that is supposed to be the main reason behind all of these forks.

The thing is, that although they actually end up combining bgold and bcash, keeping the so called innovations of both of them, and even going a little further, and they are just worth around $6. This makes me think about what the real value of bgold and bcash should be. So right now, I think the difference in price is due to the people behind these coins. Bcash still has some big names supporting it, and can keep their price up, but I don't think that's the same with bgold, so they will probably do much worse than bcash did.

Many people tells BTG will become another failure. What is the base in this? Can this be true?
It can be possible but I think it is too early to speculate now. As usual if the BitcoinGold community is large enough and  has strong support to the said coin, maybe it could surpass that of BitcoinCash status when it was first launch and may not fail like it's current situation. But if the community still choose the mighty and giant Bitcoin then it will surely settle slowly into the bottom just like the physical gold. Grin What's interesting here is that anyone who has Bitcoins stored in their wallets will surely receive free BitcoinGold so what are you waiting for? Buy and hold Bitcoins now for free BitcoinGold. Unfortunately, I have no capital for now and have nothing on my wallet too so better focus on my campaign and stay away from temptation. Grin

i think bitcoin gold will not have the same fortune as bitcoin cash, as far as i know, few hashrate been put on bitcoin gold and its hard to make easy profit twice
Yes, bitcoin gold doesn't get the same value or the growth same as bitcoin cash. Once after getting split from the main chain the growth of bitcoin cash continued reaching more than $600 and now staying above $300. Similar thing could be possible depending on the exchanges priority to the asset.

Bitcoin Gold is criticized very much, others refute this criticism. In my opinion, the reason is that there is very little information about this coin from the bitcoin. Its lack and gives rise to different rumors. I think we need to wait and see how it will be, this bitcoin Gold.
.
This will give the more information for you regarding the bitcoin gold itself. https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002320451
It's just another coin like deeponion or ethereumdark.

In some reasons bitcoin gold is very bad comparing with the bitcoin cahs.

I guess it's saying a lot that this communication, too, does not come directly from the developers of BTC Gold...
I'm considering taking a couple days off, working on a cool story, drawing up a website + ANN for a new BTC HostileJelly hardfork, and grabbing my share of the free (stupid) money... Sad

Well again this one ailtcoin btc gold has wrekt all of us holding other long term coins and tokens, so every time there is a fork of Bitcoin, most altcoins we hold just bleed to death which is really stupid in my view to be honest. Why sell other coins at 40/50% in a loss from panic just to earn say 10 or 15% extra form this new coin? I just don't get it and now btc going down and all altcoins going down, just means this is anther excuse for whales to take their profits out till the next bail out for them which is the ext fork in November.   Embarrassed

Actually to predict it is very difficult. We must keep waiting for the development process later. I myself currently have a good feeling for bitcoin gold to have a brighter future compared to some other types of coins because the exchange rate from day to day continues to change quite rapidly.

many people in this thread also mentioned that BTG will be another BCC
But honestly I believe this time it will be a good change with the blockchain because this hard fork seems to be a stable one than BCC

I don't think so. Because Bitcoin gold has a new point of view, it will let GPU miners to mine Bitcoin gold. Bitcoin cash was an attempt to create value to a coin from an old blockchain. So I don't think it will be another bitcoin cash.

Bitcoin Gold will be of great interest to some, including me who has been looking forward to Bitcoingold. Because Bitcoingold is not a file and is something that will shine by the end of this year.

If you are going to compare the price to bitcoin of course it will be a failure but remember how many years before bitcoin took off i think it will be unfair to compare it to a very established coin. It is very early to predict of course we all know that this is a clone of bitcoin but also it needs to have a loyal coin holder to hold or increase its price and for that i'm sure it will take a while.

People are  telling 7 years ago that bitcoin will fail and will not be valuable. Look at bitcoin now, so do not dismiss the possibility it could be the next big thing we just do not know it yet.

It depends how you define "failure". Will it beat legacy bitcoin? Most likely not...

But will it have some users, miners, etc.? Yes. Their proposal to use equihash as an algorithm will give them some ASIC-resistance for a while, which could mean a small rush back from some CPU & GPU miners.

The question is for how long will this drive last? No one knows, but if the question is 'will it take over the legacy chain', I wouldn't put my hopes in that.

Are there enough marketing boost for Bitcoin Gold? BTG... It is nearing November fork but there are no details release yet for Bitcoin Gold. I think if Bitcoin Gold will be an upgrade for Bitcoin then i think it will be a success. However, Bitcoin cash is not that failure from recent fork. There are still a lot of users who are investing on it. Though, Bitcoin is still the best crypto.

For me unlike Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold does not make a claim to be the real Bitcoin. Instead, Bitcoin Gold project hopes it can prove a valuable exercise for Bitcoin, a sort of test case for a hard fork that Bitcoin itself may one day require. And their main goal is to build a perpetually ASIC-resistant version of Bitcoin. I like the idea but I don't know if this project will failed or successful since Bitcoin Gold still does not exist and we still don't know if big communities will support and invest in this cryptocurrency.

In this kind of speculation about the Bitcoin Gold, for me this is no difference with the altcoin before like Bitcoin Unlimited(BU), Bitcoin cash(BCH) and another altcoin appeared which is Bitcoin Gold(BTG). But for sure most of the community here right now got panic again in this things, where majority of them Sell their altcoin at once  before the upcoming Fork. Well, lets wait and see what will happen in this day, due to its hard to justify a things which is not happening yet.

It's quite possible. It's hard to tell what the future holds for bitcoin gold but a lot have been predicting it to be a failure. Some bitcoin holders are happy to get 'free cash' while others are scared of losing their coins during the fork. I'm betting that a lot will sell it the moment they retrieve it, just as with bitcoin cash. We can't say if bitcoin gold will have the same fate as bitcoin cash but will depend on the support of the bitcoin users and community.
