Bitcoin is the coin started it all so currently there's no competitor against it. But we can't say for sure in the future it will be that way, i think there will be other coins to take bitcoin's place.
Thats absolutely true and no coins is competing with btc, the eth we all thought will stand but now looks like shitcoin and not doing well.
It's true that bitcoin has been in the lead all these years and people prefer it, however, you can't be absolutely certain that it will happen in 5 or 10 years, because there are other projects that are also progressing and suddenly there may be an accelerated escalation, to see what happens.
Probably bitcoin is gonna be the king for quite a while, I don't really see any other coin that could replace it at the moment. For the long future well, who knows, everything is possible.
I think the altcoins was same as bitcoin, we didn't call altcoins competitors of bitcoin we call bitcoins and altcoins a source of money to our financial. But I think people choosing which is better for their self.

Well in my opinion bitcoin have many competition in cryptocurrency but none of them can't beat or surpass bitcoin in crypto market.Bitcoin is always in top and still dominate in crypto market.

I totally agree, altcoins were not competing bitcoins instead altcoins are coins that can give you more bitcoins just use it properly. Bitcoin will be stornger every year, bitcoin has a lot of potential and it has a bright future.
We are now still in bear market! Doesn't matter anymore because we are seeing these a lot now a days. I see it as an opportunity rather than the bear stuff. Its just technical term for me and it has not much meaning than that. Whenever there comes such down times then we should be smart enough to think about it as an opportunity to buy more BTC. I also thought same, altcoin was a field to increase my savings in crypto, and after the profits were collected, I bought back bitcoin for me to make a long-term investment, in my opinion there is no competition in the crypto, only opportunities, but it applies to people who want to learn it and want to try it.
