It seems so, when many altcoin made their competing so bitcoin keep speeding ahead. I think need a special strategy to be able to compete with bitcoin. Everyone will make bitcoin as priority number one after that they will think altcoin.
Bitcoin is the first digital currency and it's price is so high due to that it has become the most demanding coin in the world and now there is no any more coin who can beat the bitcoin. if any coin come to beat here with big price after some time then bitcoin will be reach with very high price from at present price.
Yes it is true bitcoin is the best among the all crypto currencies and also its popularity and acceptance is also high than others crypto currencies.
Bitcoin is perfect for transactions where traceability is desired, and to some extent, transparency. Bitcoin is very business friendly, This is because all Bitcoin transactions are visible on the blockchain. Businesses love this feature of Bitcoin, not to mention that chargebacks are impossible. If they're concerned about volality, they can instantly convert the BTC to cash via Coinbase or another service. and I'm still surprised at how few businesses realize all the benefits that BTC offers.
Currently bitcoin marketcap reaches almost 50% of 1800 tokens and coins registered in coinmarketcap, this is certainly a strong indication that bitcoin does not have competitor coins so it dominates.

wrong . bitcoin do have a competition and they are altcoins and ico's because these two that i mention are also a part of investments and people usually invest on them aside from bitcoin , although these two that i mentioned above are still young when compared to bitcoin because bitcoin is currently the leading investment when it comes to cryptocurrency business. but , we will never know , if bitcoin can retain its position on the top spot because i heard that some big companies like facebook are now creating their own coin .

I started my crypto-currency journey back October last 2017. I have personally witnessed friends and family members obtaining it. Others bought at $3,500.00 and still HODL right now. I'm in close monitoring about how bitcoin will work. I would also agree that Bitcoin has no competition.
There are a lot of coins in the market now. I would agree that Bitcoin on its current state has no competition, but for me in the near future it will serve as main branch once Block-chain technology has bloomed.

You might me right from one angle, you know I never thought of this ever, because every other cryptocurrency is Under btc damn.
You are definitely right but I will say that still the attempts of some new coins to here are the threats to bitcoin and they are just diversify the focus on people from bitcoin.
There is still no possible competition for bitcoin as of this year and it will still rule the world of cryptocurrency for more years. It will take a lot of years before a possible coin will appear to challenge the bitcoin domination. The top coin has been criticized for being an old coin and was destined to die soon and will later replace by another coin that have a modern and innovative technology. But years later, bitcoin is still dominating the cryptocurrency market.
For my opinion Bitcoin has prove its critics wrong year after year but no one can predict the future perfectly ,Things might turn around in the future and an Altcoin that has more interesting and valuable features more than Bitcoin might surface.
There are a lot of cryptos in the crypto market and among them some of the are really doing good but bitcoin current market is very bad but still they are unable to exceed the popularity of bitcoin.
bitcoin is not just currency its a legend. we all know that there are a lot of cryptos that doing good to take down btc and there a a lot of people belived that btc will be taken by those cryptos. even though btc faced a lot of struggles about its price still it is the number one crypto. this is a competition of cryptos and i believe that btc will not be dominated by others.
There is no doubt that bitcoin has no competition because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and it is the best crypto along in the midst of the in flames so i accept to that no one crypto can practiced to emphasis or overtake bitcoin as the number one coin, bitcoin value can enormously declare that it is the most promising coin.

Certainly, until the new cutting edge innovation which is superior to anything blockchain will be released, people will begin to think which is better.

Bitcoin has a lot of competitors. Ethereum and litecoin are no exception but I believe in spite of all these coins, bitcoin will forever be the king of cryptocurrency.

Altcoin to me is just a way to multiply my bitcoins, sometimes all my bitcoins are invested in a few altcoins but in the end i sell all of them for more bitcoins.

There's really mo competition in all crypto actually. Investing isn't a competition, it's a way to help yourself go to the top and be successful rather. We only have one goal here, and that is to be successful in life and be stable for our future.
