I'm not sure I would class some of those countries as 'major' ... but there is a general sense now that bitcoins are leaving the USA, and at an accelerating rate.

I think so, maybe bitcoin will run with most of the fiats that has been used for transactions worldwide and be one of rge global currency if every government in the world accept bitcoin as a new currency for exchanges as well as the mediem for trading which undoubtedly better than money that is stable while in your hand , unlike bitcoin that there's a possibility that it wll raise.

For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.

That is possible to happen because Bitcoin is getting popular across the world and lots of people are already adopting the currency. Maybe someday that it would be one world one currency. But as of the moment we do still have the fiat money that is used in our daily lives.

indeed many people use bitcoin and it is not in one country but various countries in the world.
and maybe now bitcoin is doing legal process in every country and we have to support that.

Yeah, the awareness is increasing crazily. We could really cross $10,000 by next year, if bitcoin stays alive in China (which I think it would, China just can't ban the whole thing up), we could be seeing new highs soon.

But if, China actually bans it out, then I guess we'll stay at the current price for a while then (less than $4000).

Bitcoin being the global currency is actually a very good idea and we can see that it is already slowly happening nowadays, maybe given a few years more, bitcoin could really be the worlds money that would be used to all and will be used for everyday living like buying in stores and paying for malls and paying bills.
I think bitcoin is already a global currency since it's an internet currency and right now it's popularity is rapidly being spread due to popular people has been noticing them such as Bill Gates. It will be a possibility that it will be used everywhere as payment the same as fiat money but it will never replace fiat money.

is likely to succeed, we can imitate the use of the euro to apply to the European community, not necessarily government intervention and they continue to run normally and successfully. The potential reach will be wider around the world if Bitcoin is set as a common currency, this will be a history of economic progress and we are fortunate to know the bitcoin from now on because in the future the price of 1 btc will not be easy to obtain.

It has a possibility to happen. We know that bitcoin is at the top on all currencies. And the people that are accepting are still increasing and its value is continuously growing. Though it will face many challenges and hindrances in the future but still I think it will be world currency, it will only takes time to happen.

I think someday somewhere in the future, bitcoin will become the global currency. There are just a lot of things happening right now which hinders bitcoin from becoming the world's official currency. Some of the countries in the world still haven't legalized bitcoin yet and I think the have reasons about it why. The legalization of bitcoin in the whole world will take time but I'm looking forward on seeing it happen in the future.

I don't think this is so far from happening. We can all see that bitcoin is dominating all the other currencies and the world and its value is growing still up until now. It may still face a lot of challenges and obstacles before it will make it in to being the world currency but I believe it would be happening soon. It will surely benefit all the people who are using bitcoin due to the power and capability it grants to everyone.

I admit that I was attracted to bitcoin because of its price. We assume it is a global currency for the reason it is accepted and being used now by different countries. It is getting more popular and curious people grab this opportunity for wanting to know about how interesting this concept.

Yes I also think that bitcoin is becoming a worldwide currency and more people are interested to know about it, how they can treat it.
bitcoin has started worldwide and many people are interested in bitcoin for investment, for small investors like me it's time to start, otherwise today we will be left behind.
There is nothing impossible in the internet, people are now using internet and they can easily find information about bitcoin.
What made them interested is the value of bitcoin now, investors will surely consider putting their money once they fully understand the nature of bitcoin.

Well yes, bitcoin is interesting thing and good way of earning money on the side, why would not it be on a global scale. But i am not sure if we could call it global currency yet. There are somethings that bitcoin needs to do before it becomes global currency. So far bitcoin has been growing fast, and i am happy because of it. The more people know about bitcoin the more we can use it. Maybe one day we will see bitcoin as global currency, but honestly i doubt it.

Yes, bitcoin is becoming global currency because it is decentralized and everybody can use it online to buy and sell stuff.

in the future bitcoin can also used for offline transaction.

Bitcoin is already a global currency and there is only few people who are accepting bitcoin as a payment online because they are not still interested in bitcoin because of the volatility of bitcoin and i think that in the future, we can see that bitcoin will get accepted worldwide once the market of bitcoin is not so volatile because that is the time when people will get comfortable with bitcoin.
Because of the low supply we can only see the price that is increase due to the demand, the total users of bitcoin are not really big if we based on the total population of the world but the fact that we are increasing and it has been use in major countries, it can already be considered as a global currency.
