Its almost becoming very known now.  will soon be a global currency and banks are gonna go crazy when this happen. The more they kept  out of the mainstream media, its always on the social media like facebook where people are 24/7.

Already it is a global currency because now many countries accept  as legal currency. So it has already proved that  has become a global currency. Very soon many countries will start accepting  as their payment option.
if you comparing it with dollar or pound like fiat then sorry brother you are wrong. it takes a long way to reach their level. yeah but in the world of cryptocurrency yes it is a global currency from the day it has started and i don't think there is any altcoin that can replace it in the future. it was global currency it is global currency and it will be in the future.

all county will accept bitcoin as payment and exchange same day. and bitcoin will be the  global currency. And increase rapidly and unstoppable  even a government can not stop bitcoin .and bitcoin will be legal to the all county not just bitcoin but all crypto currency like ethereum and litecoin

i am sure that in all country bitcoin become as payment and exchange too but to become the global currency, i think there will be a time for bitcoin later and before this, we need to know what is the criteria to be currency in one country and not only work as payment or as exchange. bitcoin itself need to be more growing and maybe need to be as bridge between government and bitcoin user, but government can not controlling bitcoin directly.
Whatever the criteria is, it should be approved by the government, as it is getting more popular the threat to use it in illegal activities especially on money laundering is getting bigger so expect this will be regulated and when there is a regulation we need to comply with the law of the government to remain safe and enjoy using bitcoin.

It's going to happen soon and those countries now that are prohibiting withdrawals and any transactions related to bitcoin will change their minds. Later on, they will be one of those countries that are happily endorsing bitcoin to their citizens. I have seen too that there are some other coins that are supported by other countries like monacoin.

Do you really have physical or any real evidence at all the support your claim on banks trying to hinder Bitcoin's success? Because it is crazy to think that a business related to holding currency be threatened because of the existence of Bitcoin. If I am a bank owner I wouldn't be threatened at all, because if you think it this way I have other means of revenue such as credit card interests, loan re-payments, foreclosed properties which I know will be with me in the long run. Also at the end of the day we will find ourselves using the services of these banks.

I wouldn't say that banks are in danger, either

We are very from that point actually, thus I can't say that banks feel threatened somehow or anything to that tune. I'd rather say they are curious about the Bitcoin technology and whether it is worth looking into (read whether they can make money off it). If anything, they can always embrace the technology if it is really worth their time and effort, so if Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency, for that matter) goes mainstream eventually, they would have plenty of time to jump on the bandwagon anyway
Agreed, banks are much focused towards the blockchain technology. Several financial institutes have found this to be worthy and has started researching about the implementation of bitcoin along with their banking system. This could popularize the particular banking service as more adoption has been taking place. From the knowledge I've its not that easy to have bitcoin to go mainstream as it is very young with few years of history for its forward move towards the next goal.

For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.
You are right because bitcoin is now getting in lined with the top most currency in the world. With its popularity among many people around the world, its usage is rising due to the great count of users that have already been using it and as an effect of it, bitcoin is now getting into its peak to be one of the most used and popular currency worldwide. But bitcoin is not just a typical currency that was use worldwide. It as a crypto currency that has a capability to uphold and change one's life that is why it is getting more popular.

Bitcoin will slowly and gradually be start accepted across globally and many more countries will follow the Japan to start legalizing and accepting it . This will help the country economy, growth and job employment too as many youngsters can do full time job in bitcoin or related to it.
I think the reason why these few countries accepted Bitcoin as their currency is that they wanted to take that first step in embracing the Digital Technology. They are also aware of what will come in the future. Therefore they already implemented this to their country as soon as possible, to become a well developed country when it comes to digital economic status.

Japan, South Korea and Australia are the good countries in terms of bitcoin embracing. This is a snowball. More countires accept it, more global bitcoin becomes.

To become a global currency is certainly known to everyone, the fact that at this time not many know about bitcoin so I do not agree if bitcoin is said as global currency.

We would really hope for this thing to happen on which bitcoin would be slowly adopted on some countries but i can say that this would really be a tough thing since not all countries do have the same mentality on which Japan have.We do see that bitcoin is really a great innovation on payment aspects but considering that its a decentralized thing i can say that government wont easily allowed this thing to be the mainstream later on. It might be rather an another alternative but wont be considered to be a Global currency.Bitcoin does really give some opportunities like earning money but its not being focused on that thing.

Bitcoin is now increasingly used by the layers of society, where most of the country is able to accept the existence of bitcoin., but of course the role of bitcoin will never replace the global currency, because if bitcoin is able to become a global currency of course every country will lose its currency.
The role of Bitcoin to date is only an alternative to transactions that can be accepted by most of certain countries only.

The journey is long and long, we should be aware that bitcoin users are no more than 1% of all humans currently living in the world. To be becoming a global currency need at least 51% users.
Well as far as it seems that every nation or country have even atleast one users there's a potential for it to spread and gets popular. Though becoming global currency as its tag were way too far since dollar is already known for it.

Still a long way to go mate, even today majority of the world is unaware of the bitcoin and cruptocurrencies. Bitcoin needs more popularity and i believe cryptocurrencies should encourage new people to be a part of this community so that it can grow faster.

I don't really think bitcoin is becoming GLOBAL currency, the thing is bitcoin is capped at 21M and there are 7.5B people on earth. If everyone gets a portion of bitcoin, that portion is too small for transaction fee.

Supply and demand will be applied all the time. Though there are 7.5B in this world still 21 M less those burned bitcoins, it is still enough to say that bitcoin is a global currency. And it is making noise all around the world and people wants to have it most of the time. I'm pretty sure that you'll see on how fast bitcoin Is being used globally.
